Braun Strowman: "I know Bray Wyatt inside out. His mind games won't work with me."

Not even 10 seconds later - monster immediately shits himself at obvious mind games. *switches off*

Ha at least this seems to be consistent for both new world champions.

Drew McIntyre last week ‘there is nothing you can say or do Big Show that will make me fight you right now’

    #Show slaps McIntyre’s face

ok lets have a title match now.

someone pointed out that Finn Balor reverted to more of his Prince Devitt schtick after losing to The Fiend, and Daniel Bryan much more explicitly stepped back into a former look and gimmick, and suggested that while we only saw them having a standard wrestling match with the Fiend, to them they went through the same career regression nightmare that John Cena did here, the Firefly Funhouse is just the first time we've been able to see it. That's all a bit wanky, but I like the sentiment.

I’ve also seen these comments and would also put forward to another maybe lesser extent, Seth Rollins went back to snivelling heel for a bit after his fiend matches before this new messiah character, and also the Miz has regressed back to being in a tag team with John Morrison.

I like the concept but not sure if it’s just fans trying to see something that’s not there on purpose, although with the funhouse match it did show wwe can give a lot of thought to these things if they want to.

  3. I’m pleasantly surprised at the positive reaction to the boneyard match, I was on a video call with mates all watching it and we all agreed it was a ‘so bad it’s good’ spectacle. We enjoyed it to some extent but in more of a morbid curiosity at what would happen next!

  4. Quality of that latest segment notwithstanding I’m liking this slower burn approach that’s being taken with this story, considering at one point it looked like it was going to be used to shoehorn Bryan/Reigns onto Summerslam. It’s allowed Murphy to have some good moments too since.

Am I making this up or was this a non PPV event in the UK? I seem to remember watching the whole event the following day but doubt I’d have paid for an event that was not Wrestlemania.

Yeah this was back when there were half or so of the yearly pay per views on normal sky sports rather than box office. I’m fairly certain this one was on sky sports. I think gradually in the time up to when the network arrived in the uk a few more events each year moved to box office.

  6. I thought it was ridiculous to watch on tv, when Ricochet initially make his entrance for the 6 man tag match, then to go to advert and upon return see his opponents the revival already in the ring, and Robert Roode finishing his entrance, before Ricochet’s partners the Uso’s made their entrance. Even before you add in the 2/3 falls nonsense, what a mess to see live.

  7. The main show itself was quite good, any wrestlers I didn’t know or not too familiar with, I didn’t come out of the show liking them any better though.

Echo the comments for the Rhodes match, but no need for that little hammer/throne spot, looked so crap.

The Buyin show wasn’t a great lead in to get any potential buys, after the comments in the tna thread about how Tommy Dreamer can get work there in 2019, it was disheartening to see him be so involved in a lot of what happened in the battle royale.

Remember when Eddie Guerrero won that last man standing match against Big Show by tyinghis legs tot he ropes so he couldn't get up? Eddie was great.

I may be having a brain fart but I can’t ever recall this match?

Alberto Del Rio beat Big Show at Royal Rumble 2013 by duct taping his legs to the bottom rope, and after using the cross arm breaker Show was too weak to sit up and get out of it.

I alluded to it in the Bruno thread, but is that the first televised 10 bell salute (non-network only) since Benoit?

I think they did the same for Roddy Piper at the beginning of the next episode of Raw after his passing.
