I'm going to have to go up to the attic tomorrow but I reckon I've got El Matador, unboxed obviously
-
She fell out with the Bella's didn't she? If that's true I'd imagine she's no chance of going back
-
To be fair, that's the safest, best looking DDT ever and at least it's a heel doing it, Austin stunning Stacy is one of the worst things ever booked
Â
1. He's got previous in real life for knocking his wife about
Â
2. She was a babyface! (albeit managing a heel)

I like the fact that Shane Douglas looks about the same age as Vince
Â
Paul London was better off in that comedy thing he did with the fit redhead
-
Just watching an old Nitro, love the fact that Bobby Eaton is billed from Stoke
-
Not that I believe in ghosts but why would I be arsed if they were next to my bed? Pair of sad twats aren't going to do anything, though I'm just short of a year younger than my missus so maybe they'll shed their ghost tears about that
-
Because the IC title is worthless and the US title is only worth anything when Cena has it?
Â
Unify them, then have an unofficial rule for the writers that anyone who has had a world title run doesn't go anywhere near it, that way fans might view it as a belt for up and comers rather than the belt for people who've failed as main eventers or Cena's break from the main event scene belt
-
Austin did in 2001 from what I remember
-
I think that was the idea. The champion would have different challengers on each brand. They'd sometimes cross over but generally he'd turn up on both shows and face whatever the GM of that show chucked at him.
Â
I dunno when the brand split began to be planned but they'd had the idea to do WCW and WWF shows a year earlier so it must have been in discussion.
Â
It definitely seems like the decision to have a "World" champ on each show was the one they made on the fly. They didn't have a better idea than to hand HHH a belt.
That's fair enough but then who do they face at the monthly PPV? I can't remember any good feuds during the (admittedly short) time they had the champ on both shows, in fact weirdly the only thing I remember is Hogan destroying Undertaker's bike during their title feud
Â
Â
Â
Well, those old title histories are probably chock full of people they want to pretend never existed, so maybe it's best they start their lineage with the Benoit belts.
Best to start the title lineage with a double murderer…?
Â
Kevin Sullivan?
Â
Â
I'm aware that's a joke but its reminded me of those videos on Youtube where some knobhead points to all the clues that Kevin Sullivan was the murderer, I know some people have thick skin and Sullivan could probably care less what some sad twat on the internet thinks but I'd be suing him for fun it I was him
-
I wasn't online at the time so not sure, I think the problem was that unless the no.1 contender was on both shows as well as the champion you either had the champion doing nothing on one of the shows every week or have him feuding with the no.1 contender on one show and having a mini feud on the other, neither was really ideal
-
Yeah I suppose, just seemed odd, another question while I'm on here, how far in advance did WWE plan the brand extension? Seems daft they unified the World titles in December when they must've known spreading one champion across two seperate brands starting in April wouldn't work
-
Yeah I noticed it on Wikipedia when I was editing a scenario for ewr, so I checked the WWE website and it starts with Benoit and Angle
-
Ultra boring question but why do WWE use the title lineage for the Smackdown tag belts for the current Tag titles?
Â
Bit odd they'd not use the ones that LOD, Hardys, E&C, Harts etc. held yet use the ones that start with Benoit as one of the first ones
-
Did Chavo Guerrero and Chavo Classic ever have a match, or were they always mates?
Â
Chavo Sr. won the Cruiserweight title off him by accident but they never feuded, wasn't it Chavo Sr. they found asleep in a bin or something shortly afterwards?
-
Did he? He was using it until the end of his heel run and I'm pretty sure he put in on Heyman and Brock
-
Larry Zbyszko is the worst commentator ever, he ruins all the late '96 Nitro's, dread to think how bad he gets
-
No neckbeards chanting 'Ce est impressionnant!' though

Â
Some interesting points from the above interview it puts to bed those ridiculous rumours about TNA buying airtime of even not getting paid by the network
Â
But on the flip side if he thinks it's going to get spike TV numbers in the near future he's in for a bit of a shock it took TNA several years to build those numbers and had several established names along the way
Â
To be fair, if TNA were paying for the slot it's not like he's going to say that publicly is it?
-
It's so strange to think of TNA as a long running wrestling company, but by modern standards they've been going forever. Have they ever satisfied anyone? I've always felt there's was something missing. Can you think of a great angle that played out brilliantly for beginning to end? Can you think of two? That period that Dusty Rhodes was booking and when Angle first joined they seemed be doing something, but other than than they've always seemed like a car wreck. Have you ever had a friend who gets fucked up all the time and has no money permo, but he manages to to hang on and be the same for ages, despite being kicked out of the place he lives in and his car is always knackered? You think he'll scale back and try and sort something out bout he never does, just another mad story and another credit card.Â
Â
Yeah that's probably the best description of TNA ever

Â
Ziggler vs. Breeze. Again. Why is this a thing?Â
Â
Â
Â
To establish that Breeze wins and loses at roughly the same rate as everyone else is the only reason I can think of. Â I'm not saying Breeze was ever going to be some massive star but would it hurt them to just debut someone and push them decently for a few months so they can, you know, draw money against someone like Cena, even if it's just for one pay per view

There is a stripper in a strip club in Blackpool who models herself on Eva Marie. Tell her Gilligan sent you. Also meet Necky no face. You won't be sorry.
Â
RJ Singh will collaborate my story.
Think I had a dance off her after I went to a boxing do! She had a better arse than Eva Marie though

Would it be that hard for them to do another brand split? Cena, Lesnar and all the part timers never go near SmackDown anyway, at least with some form of split you could stick half a dozen lads on SmackDown exclusively and just build them up over a year, then stick them with the top Raw lads, at least it'd be trying something different
