  1. That chamber was particularly heartbreaking because I recall Goldberg getting a brilliant reception when he was on a tear in it. Kind of like a Goldberg reaction of old, which up until that point he had been struggling to find during his run on Raw. He starts battering people in the chamber, the crowd are super into it and then Ripple H in his cycle shorts sneaks the win. It was awful.

I remember people thinking at the time that the finish to Summerslam was to cut Goldberg's legs off but I think it was booked for a much more innocent, though equally daft, reason, basically I think Triple H was just desperate to do a Horsemen style beatdown to get heat, in hindsight Goldberg should've smashed him to win the title that night then have HHH return at the end of Unforgiven after a month off for the big beatdown angle, would have worked miles better

  2. Triple H has always been out of place in pretty much any team or stable he's been in, not a knock on him but it's true I reckon

    DX - HBK's posh mate

Babyface DX - Sad older brother to the cool lads

Corporate Ministry - wore a leather jacket and black glasses because that obviously shows how evil you are

Team with Austin - been obsessed with World title for two years, suddenly happy to play second fiddle to Austin

Evolution - saw a photo on Twitter that made me think of this post, the other 3 look cool as fuck, he looks like some dickhead villain from an '80's comedy

DX '06 - embarrassing 40 year old bloke acting less mature than he did roughly a decade earlier with shite jokes and absolutely none of the edginess of the original run, HBK not wanting to do anything distasteful didn't help, sold a shit load of shirts though

As I say this isn't a knock on him, his run from January to July of 2000 is one of the best heel runs ever and he's had plenty of great matches, He's just looks terrible next to anyone he teams with

  3. Maybe the comments made me expect worse, but she doesn't look that bad to me. She's definitely lost a fair bit of weight, but her lack of in-ring action and her injury may mean she's just slacking on the gym. I don't know.

But when this blows over and she's wrestling again (wherever that is), she should totally go with a "possible addict" gimmick. Be quality.

Falling off the titantron then a week later giving it 'Alberto's the pusher man' ? Ratings through the roof

  4. I loved Deadly Game. SCG constant reminders of how nonsensical that whole Shane McMahon screwing Austin angle is coupled with a recent rematch reminding me of the dross I'd long forgotten have soured it though.

So I'd have to go for King Of the Ring '95.

Why was Shane screwing Austin nonsensical? I always put it down to he was trying to get back in Vince's good books

  5. Have there been many successful face turns where a heel turns on another heel, and the victim of the turn is the one who goes babyface? That's what struck me most about Hunter turning on Seth. It seemed backwards.

I can't really think of many historical examples, other than Randy Orton getting kicked out of Evolution, and that was a complete disaster, in part because of how the turn occurred. I just think it puts the newly turned babyface at an immediate disadvantage in terms of connecting with the crowd or appearing to be heroic.

Sid twatting Shawn Michaels after Mania 11 turned HBK face, that was pretty successful

  6. That would mean he wore 3 layers over his arse and balls. The amount of sweat in his gooch alone must have had him dangerously dehydrated during matches.

Yet he still had a hispanic waitress come up to him in tears, dying to suck him off and thank him for being champion
