  1. WWE always uses the rationale that they don't do tournaments on PPV because the audience doesn't know the full card and therefore are reluctant to buy. Fair enough.

Even though they built a WrestleMania around a tournament? Plus although there wasn't a traditional elimination match during this PPV but in my opinion the 1998 Survivor Series was one of the best ones.

  2. Sky holds the rights to air WWE until 2019 so it would be another 3 year before any other broadcaster could even try to purchase it. But at the end of the day I can't see Sky ever let WWE go because it still draws a large number to their Sky Sports bundle. Even though PPV's no longer air on the sports channels there will still be a lot that subscribe to Sky Sports just for the weekly shows.  WWE has always lured the non football fans to their sports channels.

  3. What stopped Hasbro from including his Union Jack cape aswell at the time. Twats. That's another thing I liked about those Hasbro's the extra gimmick stuff like Jake had the snake, Boss Man had the nightstick and DiBiase had the Million Dollar belt included. Can't remember if there were others.

  4. Yeah I have just watched both part of it and really enjoyed it. The banter between the four of them was great. JBL does a cracking job with these Legends interviews I must admit. Loved it when Hunter was telling the story about watching the Taker V Michaels match from Mania 25 in the locker room and he just shouted over to Orton and said "We're fucked"

  5.

I think that's spot on from Flair, he's still capable of talking sense at times

Apart from the fact that he obviously still thinks the roster is split into two brands.

    It is, Raw and NXT.

So in that case Reigns and Wyatt etc must've been on the NXT side of the tour then. Ric even still calls Raw the "red" brand.

  6. I actually want to see them put the Divas title back on Paige at the PPV because I just can't take to Charlotte no matter what she does. She's like the Del Rio of the Diva division. Plus there's a lot of talk that Sasha is turning babyface soon and I think a Sasha V Paige feud could be good.

  7. At the end of the day Vince, Hunter and Steph clearly see something in her as do most fans in the arenas going by the reaction. There's a reason why she keeps getting pushed into title matches on PPV's time after time. In my opinion it's Charlotte that is shite.

  8.

It's annoying hearing them bang on about 25 years of The Undertaker at Survivor Series and all they could be arsed to serve up at the PPV is a shit sandwich of a tag match.

Well he did debut in a Tag match I suppose

But it was a traditional elimination match. Not exactly a standard tag match like this Sunday.

  9. It seems Lana had chimed in about it being tasteless on twitter but Paige responded by telling her to stop fishing for a storyline.  Then Lana claimed Paige bullied her in NXT. Lana has since deleted the tweets. This is actually more interesting than her feud with Charlotte.

  10. Paul Bearer used to do a hell of a job with his promos especially those in ring ones when he was telling the stories about the Undertaker's secret etc. None of his promos were scripted he done them all on the spot.

  11. People seem to be up in arms than the Undertaker appeared on Jimmy Fallon, but he was doing far worse kayfabe exposing shite in the 90s. I remember in 1994 the Undertaker wrestled with PJ and Duncan on a bouncy castle on a Saturday morning show called Gimme 5. I dont know what he was promoting. I do remember it was during the period where he was out for months and there was a fake Undertaker on TV. But they sent the real one around Europe promoting whatever they had going on at the time.

No idea what his beef with Ant and Dec was mind you. I just remember it was a show long storyline where (I think) Jenny Powell was telling Paul Bearer they'd been hiding all day and as soon as she brought their names up, Undertaker punches through the studio table. When he finally got his hands on them, he threw them on a bouncy castle and started body slamming them on it.

He was promoting his big return at SummerSlam. I always thought it was on Live and Kicking though as I seem to remember Taker and Bearer outside of the BBC Centre.  Speaking of Ant and Dec Austin was booked to appear on SMTV to promote that shitty No Mercy PPV in the UK in May 99 but he pulled out of it when he found out he had to get involved in their stupid games and sketches during the show so they sent Chyna instead.
