Just watching a SNME from 88 ( the one with the twin referees) and there is a Hogan training montage but the music is Jake the Snakes music from...whenever he had music. I guess there was a year or two gap before Jake had it. Just seemed weird, took me out of the moment of the montage

When did they start showing adverts before stuff starts playing? I've started three different events tonight and had an advert for some toy thing before two of them, never noticed it before tonight

Has the way the time is displayed next to posts always been like that or did it change last night? I thought it was AM PM style but this morning it's showing the times as 24 hour clock, but with the AM PM as well, which is surely wrong. It may well have always been like it and I only noticed this morning to be fair.

since the WWE App updated a week or so ago if I go to something i was part way through I don't have the option to Resume Watching on the Kindle. its not a major issue as I can just drag the thing along and figure out where I was but before the update the option was there and now its not. also the Kindle doesn't have chapters on anything, or mine doesn't anyway. not really a question, don't know why i'm putting it in the FAQ bit really.

I have pissed myself when I had that dream once. I was quite young, at school age.

this happened to me once about 20 years ago and Its because of the worry of this happening again that when I go to bed if i'm awake for more than half an hour after my last piss I have to go for another one, just in case. and there's always loads of the stuff, even though I've just pissed and there was nothing left. I just accept it now - my routine is I go for a piss, clean my teeth, have another piss, go to bed.... get out a bit later and go for a piss. and if I wake up in the night even though I don't feel like I need a piss I go just in case (although if its in the middle of the night I sit down and keep my eyes closed in the belief i'll be able to get back to sleep)

it was a couple of years ago that I saw it, but he just seemed really uncomfortable up there and considering the amount of promos he's done over the years where he comes across as... well, HBK, the Hall of Fame speech looked like a guy who's got to give a speech at a wedding where he's not used to talking in front of anything more than his wife and kids. No charisma or any of the ease with which he talked in public over the previous however many years. and every bloody thing he says starts with a  gap and "y'know" he KEEPS saying it y'know? over and y'know over.... he says at the start something about being nervous, but even best man speeches tend to warm up once you've got the first laugh. As I say, Triple H's introduction was great then he comes on and just seems really out of place. there are worse speeches, but from guys you'd expect them from who were never really came across as that charismatic.

as I say, it was y'know  couple of years ago that he was inducted but I just y'know remember being really y'know disappointed.

I''m going to go back and rewatch it and it won't be "y'know" that he says. there's something he KEEPS saying. I'm sure that's it but it probably isn't  what with my swiss cheese memory.

after reading this topic I watched Mr Ts one this morning, jayzus! it goes from being awful, to being really funny to being "just f*uck off!"

Another bad one was HBK, not for the same reasons as Mr T but because he's really uncomfortable throughout and keeps saying "y'know" as he does anytime he's not in character. Triple H's introduction to him is brilliant, then HBK comes out and its just rubbish.

Is Triple Hs entrance at WM29 edited? Isn't that the one where the dry ice burnt him? It seems very cut down from Memory

Back on the roku, there are no chapter points, you have to forward or back by the minute, if that sways your decision at all

Edit again - going back to the network not playing on the kindle with the updated app, I uninstalled it, turned the kindle off and on then reinstalled it and it works fine now.

In basic terms its like a freeview box was, but you can use it for internet stuff. It's a little box or USB stick that you access apps etc on like the iplayer,,wwe network, Netflix on. I doubt I'll use it for anything other than the network but for me its worth it

My roku 1 came yesterday - I went for 1 as between me thinking "hmm, I should get one of those" and actually ordering it they all went up in price drastically. Roku1 works perfectly, a but slow to load but works great, brilliant picture quality, can't fault it.

Good bloody job it does work because when I turned on my kindle today it told me the wwe app had updated so I installed the new version -the network doesn't fucking play now! It lets me choose something, does the doo doo be doo doo music then goes blank. That's my breakfast fix of rasslin out the window!

I got a cheque for £25 off the premium bonds on Saturday (who knew that was a thing that happened? ive had those for years and had NOTHING) so i'll put that towards a Roku.

or some cheese. Twenty five quids worth of cheese - boom!

Edit - forget it, maybe it wasn't a spoiler, and maybe me pointing out that it could be a spoiler would spoil it for people who hadn't noticed it the first time round

Five alive! Some people have more money than... well, me, if they're prepared to spend that on some playing cards. Best put them in a safe then, or ebay.

I don't think I trust the laptop to not suddenly go doolally at any point enough to risk the chromecast

i can't watch with the sound on as i'm at work, but it looks piss easy, and I think they've talked me into it getting a Roku.

August 1989? Mr..  can't remember his name, the guy who ran my local newsagents, you know the guy. he took his eye off the ball there didn't he! not getting one in until April 1990. I guess I wont be able to retire from ebay proceeds of selling that then.

what about the paying cards, the ones from 1988, WWF Super Stars playing cards, I've seen some individual cards listed for silly money on ebay, surely nobody actually pays anything for them? you know the ones I mean. they can't be rare if I got one a pack as a 9 year old.

so a Miracast wont work, right, thank you. and with a chromecast i'd need to "cast" it (whatever that means) from my laptop? I doubt my laptop would be up to that, its temperamental when streaming things. so a Roku box then I guess? that works with the Network, right? it's that or watching on the kindle, alone in the kitchen, eating a block of cheese.

When I heard "the crowd want to see the best from Hideo Itami" when they were calling for the GTS I immediately thought it was a not so sly Punk reference, but now I'm thinking I'm just a twat for automatically thinking that.

Was the April 1990 edition of the WWF Magazine the first to be available in the UK - with the Special uk edition thing in the corner so specifically for the UK market, not an import in a specialist shop, or did I just not see it before then

I also used four of those on a 20p e/w lucky 15, it was all that was left in my account. Best put some more in so I can waste that later. If I win the potential six grand I'll hunt you down and buy you a pint.

 

 

O fuck me,those things are just the worst. Id never seen them until Richie reviewed a TOD. The footage of them digging them out was the sickest thing ive ever seen in wrestling

when I was younger I was always unsure as to the difference between a powerdriver and a piledriver. these days you don't hear talk of powerdrivers so much, was it my young ears mishearing the commentary what with American accents and all or were (are) there two different drivers?
