ever since it first aired I've had an internal conflict as to what exactly Roddy Piper called Ric Flair in the promo before the Albert Hall Battle Royale. At the time to my 12 (?) year old ears it was obviously "feather wearing fucking freak" but as I didn't have the video I didn't see it for years. once youtube came about I searched for this interview and it was  bleeped out, adding to my conviction it was "fucking" however later internet searches led to me finding people saying its "faggot freak" but then last night...last night I watched it on the Network and it sounds like.... "flocking?"  was it edited? the camera has to zoom in on Piper after he says it because Mean Gene is corpsing (leading me to believe it was something he probably shouldn't have been saying) now I'm more confused than ever...... WHAT DID HE SAY?????

I always remember the (Most publicised) tale of the time someone had left a message on his site saying about their cats addiction to cake, forgot about it then a week or so later the phone rang and a strangers voice simply said "what type of cake?" No "hello it's Edmonds, I'm calling about the cat" just "what type of cake?"

does that mean that new Star Wars films (and retrospectively the already released Disney ones) will have the 20th Century Fox fanfare before the Lucasfilm logo again? It just doesn't feel the same without it.

I'm only on the second match but does everyone else hear that noise in the background? Like a heartbeat on a scan? Does it last throughout the show? It's really distracting. Or is that thing, like when you can smell toast it means you're having a stroke?

when i lived in Grimsby my favourite bit of graffiti was on a wall in a park, two foot high letters (black) reading OLIVIA G TAKES IT UP THE BUM. During my time there I didn't knowingly speak to an Olivia with  to confirm or deny this accusation (advert?) but I did like the way that whoever wrote it thought to protect her identity by just calling her Olivia G, although to be honest I don't think there would have been that many Olivias in Grimsby in the late 90s, so if you did meet an Olivia who's surname began with the letter G you were probably talking to the lady in question.

It's rare that I remember dreams and even rarer that I deem them worthy of a second thought but last night I dreamt that Akela from my son's cub group texted to say that cubs wasn't on Friday because they were going to go tonight to the Bruce Springsteen Institute in Cardiff because they'd got a Goodfellas exhibition that she wanted the 9 year olds to see, while they were inside I figured that there wasn't time to get to Birmingham and back while they were in there so I went to the Last Night of the Proms where during Land of Hope and Glory I fell into the water around the orchestra pit - is that one of those dreams that everybody has, like teeth falling out and trying to run but not being able to?

Toby Carvery have done this for years on the buffet breakfast thing, I wouldn't touch a toby carvery for lunch but the breakfasts are phenomenal, £4.29 all you can eat. They don't do hash brown sadly, they have a potato onion and cheese hash thing (which might have bits of bacon in) which is good, the breakfast gravy (I think I has bacon in) which is amazing and breakfast Yorkshires (they have bits of bacon in) which obviously are ace. and the normal sausage, bacon, toms, eggs, well breakfast stuff.

sticking with Yorkshires the Auntie Bessies things they sell in Heron, if you're having a two course feast then eat the cheese and beans one first, have the pulled pork one after otherwise you'll be disappointed. the cheese and beans one is good but the pulled pork one is much better and the cheese one wouldn't satisfactorily follow it.

Chocolate covered Pork pie, does that count as #EATCLEAN or is it not allowed because I used a Dickinson & Morris Porker? Either way it tastes amazing and I feel shall become my new Christmas morning breakfast tradition

Has anyone attempted chocolate covered pickled onions?I feel it'd be achievable.

The woman in the shop this morning said "Happy Friyay" Fri-yay.  Anyone that says those words can fuck off and die. In that order.

Obviously I didn't say that to her as, well, she's lovely in every other way, I think I just looked confused and walked out but for fucks sake, Friyay? Jesus Christ.

is it not? I assumed that listening to it in advance would only confirm my fears and completely put me off but you saying that has swung me the other way. it's not expensive, so I think i'll go for it.

Does anyone have the Mick Foley Crazy Christmas 7" vinyl? I keep being tempted to buy it as I usually buy any old Christmas records but as it's a spoken word of him reading a story his kid wrote i'm not sure if it's a record too far even for me. Mick Foley + Christmas + vinyl, ten years ago I'd have been buying up every available copy but the thing he's become these past however many years really puts me off.

So does anyone have It? Is it as bad as it sounds?

This really should be posted in random thoughts but it'd be spoilers - when Joe had Brock in the coquina clutch and he was backed into the corner with Lesnar holding both ropes shouldn't the referee have got him to break the hold? Surely that's a rope break? Either way the start of the match was ace

And Rosario Dawson, with a support cast including Alan Cumming and Parker Posey! I haven't watched it in about ten years but it's a massively entertaining watch, with a great soundtrack. The product placement gags, the comment on the music industry, it's a great film. The tv show is nowhere near as much fun
