The eldest son, Lonzo, clearly is half decent as he's just been drafted second overall by the Lakers. The other two kids are still in high school & their teams are coached by their dad, who basically acts like Homer when he's Bart's coach. His kids never pass, don't play defence, shoot terribly from half court etc.
Don't know about the younger two but Lonzo is a hell of a passer, very unselfish player who brings players into the game. While his technique is unorthodox, he's got a pretty decent 3pt record. A lot of comparisons to Jason Kidd. While his Dad is certainly brash (he's basically a hype man for his kids) I think Lonzo has every chance of succeeding, he's a perfect fit for the Lakers.

Nish Kumar, Bob Mortimer, Sally Phillips, Mark Watson and Aisling Bea announced for series 5 of Taskmaster.Â
Great show, love it, one of the few shows on TV that still makes me laugh, a lot.Â

Enjoyable show, far from the best Manchester show but great fun. Banks v Seven was motn for me, Banks is so good. Enjoyed Riddle v Bate too but somewhat spoiled by finish. Main event was ok, bit underwhelming. CCK coming out was immense, loudest pop I've heard in a long time. Dare I say it was louder than the pop for Balor in Birmingham and maybe Havoc in Brixton.
Big negative was the in house music for entrances. The music itself is fine but most lack that big intro that pops crowd huge. I understand why it needs to be done and will take some getting used to, I remember when ROH did it, was strange then but the norm now.
Also, I love Martina, a fantastic act.

Riddle v Bate announced for Manchester. That will be great

Haskins v Drake? It'll be Undertaker v Undertaker again. Drake is boring, got outshone in his debut, I think it's fair to say that it's a surprise he got brought back. Him being a prominent part of shows has a WWEUK stink to it.
I do worry that Progress have left it too late to capitalise on the Gibson heat, especially after his match v Haskins. Definitely seems more panto now. As much as I've enjoyed the Origin feud I feel Gibson has dropped further down the pecking order since.

Wouldnt be surprised to Banks get cheated out of the first round by British Strong Style and take the tag titles on day 2 or 3 with Brookes.Â
Hope not. If Brookes is teaming with anyone it's Lykos, far better dynamic and a lot more entertaining. I want and expect to see Banks going for the World title. Banks, if he isn't already, will be the biggest face in the company over the next few months

Brilliant show yesterday, such a fun afternoon of wrestling.
Â
Thankfully a mate picked me up a ticket for the next Manchester show (bit weird them going on sale at noon rather than 10pm). Great to see interest picking up, even if it does mean me potentially missing shows due to missing out on a ticket. Usually when I get the train to Manchester I never see another wrestling shirt/hoodie etc but yesterday there were at least 6/7 on my carriage alone.
Â
Will be interesting to see if PROGRESS continue with current venues and are happy with the 700 max crowds or look into running slightly bigger venues. I could see them easily getting 900-1,000 per show

I'd forgotten all about that. What was the beef exactly?
Don't think there was any beef just ROH fans being ROH fans at the time and not accepting a WWE guy who was fired. Jeff coming out as Willo the Wisp didn't help things.

A really fun recent show that'd get you up to speed with the current angles etc would be Chapter 39. Just an easy show to watch, a great pro wrestling event.
Â
You could even start from Chapter 36, their Brixton show, and work up to the latest chapter to get up to speed.
Â
If you have time then obviously Chapter 1, but you could probably start from 10 and sink your teeth in to the whole Jimmy Havoc storyline.
-
Was obsessed with Brookie. Would watch it twice a day sometimes. On channel 4 then again on S4C at 10pm.
Â
Had a route on my delivery years ago where I'd deliver to Max Farnham and Ron Dixon. There'd be many a Saturday morning where I'd quietly mark out when Vince Earl would come to the gate in just his dressing gown to get his mail

It's funny when PCW send Masters round to your house and PROGRESS have 'don't be a dick' promos for piracy but have owners of said companies talking about watching football and films illegally.
-
That Fight Club Pro Lineup is ridiculous at this point.
Â
Â
And added yesterday:
Â
They have a tweet pinned that says to get in touch if you want Wolves tickets as there may be more seats coming.
Â
The Elite are in Dublin doing OTT on the Saturday, wrestling Ricochet, Will Ospreay and Ryan Smile. Ryanair do some daft cheap flights if you're desperate to see them (and you can get a ticket).
Going to Manchester, even without Omega, Bucks and Ospreay, the card still has the potential to be great. Looking forward to it.

PROGRESS aren't releasing their shows on DVDS anyore. Is this to do with WWE UK contracted talent?

Â
He really needs to hire someone to do those posts
I've thought this for some time. I'm sure the way PCW speak to their fans over social media plays some part in the dwindling attendance over the last few shows (in Preston anyway, I've not been to any of the other shows). Taking the piss out of fans asking legitimate questions - alright they might get asked the same question over and over but there is no need to mock paying customers. With so much choice in the UK nowadays people are just going to get their wrestling fix elsewhere if PCW continue to openly take the piss out their fans.
It's not just PCW that answer fans legitimate questions in a sarcastic and unprofessional manner. PROGRESS are very guilty of this too. I don't get why promotions do it, I get that it's frustrating answering the same questons again and again. If you are going to reply just give a straight answer and be done with it.

Calling Spots magazine - Not my favourite item. Articles are very long, but when I do get around to reading it, it's always a good read.
Â
The latest issue is the first one I've been disappointed with since the fanzine launched. I understand it's a new team and will give issue 23 a try but I found it very self indulgent, a 44 page fanzine inluding 10 pages on a fans Wrestlemania weekend trip (every fanzine/mag has these types of articles every year, you read one, you've read them all) and 10+ pages devoted to What Culture, wasn't the issue for me.

It's already up on All4, had to search for it, Smashing Glass Ceilings.

Team Dazzler v Never Say Die
Pollyanna v Chakara
Â
I enjoyed it. Decent half an hour, easy to watch. Good way of getting the ENDVR talent over and introducing them to fans that maybe haven't given the ENDVR shows a go on demandPROGRESS.
-
Birmingham shows aren't any bigger or more important than Camden, Manchester or even Sheffield.
Â
Just very fortunate for those in attendance that it was the same weekend as WWE UK and that WWE sent Balor and End.
-
Noticed with PROGRESS, more than any other promotion, that people tend to resell their tickets. Happens an awful lot, probably fans snapping up tickets before knowing whether they can make show or not.
Â
Worth signing up to twickets and having alerts on.
-
I said to a mate on Sunday that after these WWE UK shows that I can see tickets for Birmingham and Manchester shows selling out in minutes, just like the Camden shows.
Â
Great to see, BritWres isn't showing any sign of slowing down just yet.

What an excellent show the Birmingham debut was. One of my favourite events I've been to in a while.
Â
There wasn't a match on there that was standout, moty type candidate but it was just a fun pro wrestling show for what, on paper, looked a weak card, by recent PROGRESS standards.
Â
The 3 surprises were fantastic. Matt Riddle oozes charisma, you can't help but love the guy.
-
It's definitely Linda as she was in the promo videos for the event but it does looks photoshopped. Even Steph looks weird.
-
It's the weakest card on paper I can remember for a PROGRESS show but really, really looking forward to it.
Â
Bought tickets as soon as they went on sale in September. I think it's fair to say PROGRESS and the atmosphere of shows are the draw more than any particular talent, the show selling out weeks before first match was announced backs that up I feel.
Â
It's going to be a great afternoon of wrestling, no doubt.
Â
Plus, if Mikey Whiplash answers Rampage Brown's open challenge I'll definitely get my monies worth

It gets worse. Calum Leslie, Matt Richards and RJ are fine but Glen Joseph is unbearable. With his ridiculous and unnecessary screaming
