I think some people are over thinking the whole "why would Taker do this"? thing.

You ask "why?" And all I can think is "why not?". Frankly the character dosent care for such trivial family disputes. He's not pro Vince, but he isn't anti Shane either.

The Taker dosent care if his opponent is Lesner, Barakus, Lita, Mark Henry, Savio Vega or Shane McMahon. He's been put into a match and he's going to go wrestle it. He's too proud to go and throw a match for a family squabble that dosent concern him.

On the other hand, Undertaker has been referred to as the "conscience of the WWE" on numerous occasions and it strikes me as bizarre that somebody described as such would be fighting on behalf of super-heel Vince McMahon.

Takers has a long history as Vince's henchman. He's the guy that stayed loyal when everyone was jumping ship, he obeyed the higher power and fought for WWE against the Invaders. For 20+ years he's been by Vince's side to protect the WWE now when it's under threat again he steps up to protect it.

That's my take on it but it's not really been mentioned. Perhaps they should get that max dude to do one of his videos

  2. The last time I can remember Hunter being a proper heel that I wanted to see get battered was in the build up to the Daniel Bryan match at Wrestlemania 30. There was that one particular segment that was ridiculously heavy, where he handcuffed Bryan and beat the living shit out of him. Did he crotch chop then? Or do a babyface pose afterwards? I genuinely can't remember.

He did Bryan's arm pose to get heat bit none of his.

I don't think doing the Roman Reigns 'call me' hand gesture would really work the same

  3. Did anyone catch Cats Does Countdown a few weeks back with Rob Beckett? He had his wrestling figures out as his lucky mascot and while Jimmy Carr was asking him who some of them were he said "Just give me a minute while I move Koko B Ware away from Hogan"  Had to chuckle at that.

At the beginning of 2015 I was looking at running a promotion from Bluewater, Essex. We approached Rob to be involved and him and his team were well up for it even pitching to us the idea of getting Rob to dress up as Jack Swagger.

  4. That opening segment was terrible. Roman who was screwed by the authority in a ladder match, at mania and at survivor series is so pissed off with the authority that the first words out of his mouth were 'congrats champ'. Who allows this to be on TV surely now was the time to change gears with Roman and go from hunted to hunter.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of Roman he's only got too expressions smirk and stare. Despite that I'd they were going to make him the man at some point he's got to stop looking like a chump.

It was nice to see Sheamus doing a bit of heel work in the main event. They've only got three weeks to get heat on him otherwise the TLC match will be silence.

Trish and Lita changed the finish to there match when Lita injured herself. Trish took the strap when she wasn't meant to. I don't know whether that was called from the back or in the ring.

I agree that they wouldn't/shouldn't do it here but there is a history of it happening.

Think about what you're saying. You're trying to compare a pay-per-view title change of a belt that basically doesn't matter with a house show match and the world championship. For Sheamus to have come away from the Dublin house show as WWE champion, one of two things would have had to happen:

    1) Dean Malenko or some other cunt who was in charge on the night would have had to make a booking decision well above their pay grade, with no cameras there and the possibility of Seth Rollins being fine the next night.

Or 2) Sheamus would have had to see the injury happen and decide by himself to run to the ring and cash in his title shot, with no cameras there and the possibility of Seth Rollins being fine the next night.

Can you not read or was the urge to post too strong that you didn't read all of my post?

I honestly feel that the safest thing to do would have been for Sheamus to cash in when Rollins injured himself in Dublin, it would have been something different as nobody has ever cashed in on a live event (with WWE.com showing it obvs) and it would have made RAW more watchable the following monday. Also would have made Sheamus/Reigns at Survivor Series.

I've seen a number of people suggest this, but the idea is obscene. For starters, for that to of happened, that meant the minute management saw the injury happen (without knowing the extent of the injury) they would of had to of made a snap judgement, in that very milisecond, for Sheamus to go out and take the belt.

WWE would never, and should never, react in such a manner.

Plus I'm not sure having a burly Irishman kick your head off your shoulders after nearly snapping your leg in two is my definition of "safer".

  7. No idea, what started off as a discussion on the reality of perception quickly went down a rabbit hole into bizarre world. This guy has books and DVDs on why there is no moon.

He showed me a print out proving that the moons a projection or a hologram.

Apparently someone has gone as far as offering a reward to anyone who prove the moon exists.

All very strange to me. More worrying is this guys an academic at a top university.

  8. I've read 17 of those books and started to read Sam Beckett's Murphy but never completed it. Its odd as i love beckett.

Surprised David Copperfield was the only Dickens on the list whilst. Personally I think there are better examples of H.G. Wells' work as well.
