Weren't AEW testing everybody ahead of the show the same way UFC have been for their upcoming show this weekend? sure I read AEW/UFC were staying in the same hotel this week as well although not sure if that was everyone on the AEW side

If this is true it's got to be up there with the stupidest ideas I've ever read in my life. Tourism is dead but let's shove two different groups of people from all over the US in the same hotel for no apparent reason.

We get what we deserve supporting these two forms of entertainment.

This forums hate for Jim Ross will always warm my cockles.

The Michael Cole challenge is still the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

    "Who weighs less?"

Heel Michael Cole is genuinely one of my favourite things ever in wrestling.

I wonder how Jeff Jarrett feels about only being able to get on WWE TV (based on 2018 Hall of Fame & 2019 Royal Rumble) if he plays the comedy cowboy character he did from 1994 to 1996.

You forgot his storied career in MMA, which was the best Jarrett of all time.

  4. Royce Isaacs physique deserves a mention btw. Incredible shape.

I love this show so much. I haven't regularly watched wrestling in about 4 years. They present it so well, the focus is on clear faces and heels rather than flips and trying to get cheap pops, and the broadcast treats it as being legit without insulting your intelligence.

  5. Fury and Wilder will have the Superbowl and the rest of the NFL playoffs to build their fight. ESPN and Fox have been clever with their scheduling and will stick all their promotional power behind it. 2 million buys seems mental but I think it can do seven figures.

I think part of the reason the UFC will be doing this McGregor fight a bit more quietly is hoping to minimise any scrutiny about the ongoing police investigations. It'll still sell more than any non McGregor PPV but I think they'll be willing to take a hit of a few hundred thousand buys if it means they aren't having to answer questions about promoting a scumbag.

I was one of those few who fucking loved the Hogan era of TNA.  I completely understand why it wasn't right for the modern audience (just for old WCW fans like me) but it felt... big to me.  Sting, Hogan, Nash, Steiner, Angle... great roster.

That night it genuinely felt like the wrestling industry was back to its best.  The ratings came in for TNA and it looked really promising.  So for about a week it was the Attitude era all over again.

I completely agree re the Hogan TNA era, I loved it. I still maintain Hogan ripping the shirt off at Bound For Glory is one of the greatest moments in wrestling this century.

Seems like a fair swap. Even with the downturn in wrestling of late it will still be more exciting than the Celtic and Rangers squash matches every week.

Give me our league over the plastic tourist showcase down South any day of the week

    So, this happens soon.

I know it's gotten a fair bit of backlash, but I like it as I have BT, being the Scottish football fan that I am. Not sure if they did this on Sky, but it seems they'll be airing Raw & Smackdown live as per expected, but we also will be getting same-day primetime re-airs of RAW on Tuesdays and SmackDown on Saturdays, a two-hour version of RAW, one-hour version of RAW and one-hour version of SmackDown.

That has to be good, right? The ability to watch both Raw & Smackdown in two hours combined will likely bring me back to the table.

BT are losing all of the Scottish football coverage at the end of the season. Sky will have 100% of it again.

If I never hear you lot mention "real sports feel" or "sports like presentation" again it'll be too soon. Give it a rest guys, it's gotten old.

Just accept this one as a loss on your record. If you can go 3-6 over your next 9 then you could be next in line for a title shot.
