  1. Hi BradfordCity,

No not at all; I honestly found it interesting feedback. It's good to hear peoples thoughts and what they want more of. I'm still trying to find the balance between giving people stuff what they know/expect but also (hopefully) opening some eyes to great new content that's out there.

    Hey WestLondonMist,

I can't really speak for US Wrestle Crate but I work closely with their owner and he tries to make each Crate great value. I'm trying to open some doors to US indies, as I did with wXw in Germany and a host of UK promotions to date. Watch this space.

Regarding the survey, this was promoted via social media (@WrestleCrateUK on Twitter and over on our Facebook page). Out of interest, would you have minded, as a subscriber, being sent that on email? I felt that may be a bit invasive to send every month (Plus our system sends enough auto-emails as it is) so I opted not to email it out.

    Thank you both,

    - Richard

  2. Hi BradfordCity,

That's awesome to hear, welcome on board.

That's interesting feedback. Despite comparatively few UK-based items, I still get feedback that there is "too much UK content" inside from people who aren't fans of British wrestling. Another factor is matching Wrestle Crate UK to the US version; although there are differences every month, we try to align a lot. I'm hoping that they soon start featuring more UK content since (as Scurll, Ospreay, ZSJ, Drew, et al are showing) British wrestling is fantastic at the moment and deserves to be showcased to people to can't attend shows here easily.

That said, one of my mission statements was to feature UK content and I'm very happy to have done that in every Crate and will strive to always do so.

Essentially, the items inside aren't to please me, they're to please our thousand or so subscribers. If people keep emailing/tweeting/messaging me saying their favourite item was a UK item then I'll add more in. I surveyed our subscribers a few weeks ago to rate each item to-date from "absolutely loved to "absolutely hated" and have used this to shape future Crates.

We do have a few cool items up our sleeve in the next six months from the UK though, so definitely watch this space.

    Thanks,

    - Richard

  3. Hi Platt222,

I like using this page to generally chat about Wrestle Crate so I'm more than happy to explain why these were selected to go into the Ultimate Crate.

On top of everything inside the Standard Cate, the Ultimate Crate contained the two most expensive items in terms of both cost to us and RRP. RRP wise, Headlocked costs 20 bucks (£14) plus shipping and import costs from the US which could easily be another £10, then add whatever Chavo or Mundo would charge for an 8x10 (let's conservatively say £10) and I'd say that's pretty good for a tenner extra.

My intention is to jam pack both variants of the Crate as much as possible, both in terms of value and quality.

It's great to hear that you enjoyed the Crate. March's Crate is already set to be my favourite yet. I've just seen the finished versions of the two shirt designs (one in the Standard, two in the Ultimate) and they're incredible, in my opinion.

Thanks for your support, man, It means the world to the team and I.

    Cheers,

    - Richard

  4. Hi everyone,

I don't think that I've posted this yet this month so here's the 'official' run-down of February's Wrestle Crate:

    IMG_1918.JPG?ts=1456863066&host=www.wres

    The Standard Crate included:

Kenny Omega Collaboration t-shirt - Wrestle Crate Exclusive
wXw 15th Anniversary DVD - Imported from Germany
    Wrestling Rainy Day Activity Book
    Pro Wrestling Chaos DVD
    'Rain Maker' Art Poster

The Ultimate included all of that plus:

Lucha Underground hand-signed 8x10 (Either Johnny Mundo or Chavo Guerrero)
    Headlocked Last Territory Graphic Novel

There is less than one week remaining to sign up in time for March's Crate. We've also announced that every Ultimate Crate in March will feature not one but TWO, brand-new and exclusive t-shirts.

Remember to use the code UKFF10 at WrestleCrate.co.uk to get yourself 10% off your first Crate.

As always, if you have any questions, please just give me a shout.

    Cheers,

    - Richard

  5. Hi everyone (and @iPumaPants)

Just to let you know that, from today, we will be offering a small number of selected items on our 'second chance store'. If you've missed a Crate and loved a certain item then we may have it here. For a limited time, we also will be offering "one off gift Crates containing past items" with the Easter period in mind.

Not all items will make it to the store and we wont sell the items for a while after it's featured inside a Crate to ensure that our members never miss an item and that they get to enjoy them before anyone else.

    Thanks,

    Richard

  6. Hey WestLondonMist,

Thank you for coming back to give a full run down of your thoughts on the Crate. I really appreciate you taking the time out to do that, plus proper feedback helps me shape future Crates. I was worried the wXw DVD may be lost on some people but I'd wanted to import this for some time.

    Hi iPumaPants,

Haha that's amazing; I love it. Thank you for the kind words about the Crate. It's always nice to hear from new subscribers who enjoy their first Crate.

The 'Steveweiser' bottle openers may end up on our soon-to-be-launched second chance store, which will feature some items several months after they were released. We have a small number of these left (only 15-20) so I'll be sure to post in here once the store goes live so that you can grab one if you're still after a device to open up your Steveweisers.

    Cheers again gentleman.

    Richard

  7. Hey iPumaPants,

    What a name that is!

Thank you for the kind words and it's great to hear that you enjoyed (what I assume was) your first Crate.

To answer your questions; hardly ever. In this particular case, we actually ordered the one you saw in the video but there was a mixup on their end which led to the day being saved by the second person, otherwise we'd have been around 100 short due to some printing error. The only other example I can think of is when we deal with Mattel. Mattel sell by the series so you can't order, for example, 1000 Brock Lesnar figures, you have to order 1000 of a series which will be 12.5% Brock, 12.5% The Miz, etc.

I hope that this helps and it's great to have you on board.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  8. Hey BradfordCity

Wow. SBD and WestLondonMist have answered better than I could have. Thank you both.

If you're signing up be sure to use that UKFF10 code for 10% ff your first Crate.

The mystery element is part of the fun so what we do is we show (on our website and social media) what every past Crate has contained; this will allow you to get a feel for the type of content we offer in general, however the specifics are top secret until the Crates land with our members. As WestLondon says - we do drop teasers though. For example, we've already ordered an exclusive item that is World Class for March's Crate.

If you join today you'll pay today and receive March's Crate first. This will be sent March 20th-22nd. You'll next be billed on March 28th. You can cancel at any time or even skip months, all from within your account.

    Any questions please just ask.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  9. Hey WestLondonMist - That's awesome feedback. Thank you for sharing. We took a gamble on some items (namely the imported stuff, for more casual fans) so it's really great to hear that you liked every item.

Hi there LariatTom - from reading your post, I think the answer is "probably", but if you shoot me a private message with your ful name and postcode I'll be happy to check and give you a definitive answer.

As always - if anyone has any Wrestle Crate questions please just give me a shout :)

  10. Hey TiNGLE.

I've got some good news - we only charge £4 for P&P, not £8. This covers the cost of the shipping plus the cost of our custom Crates then things like labels, tape, etc. If Royal Mail increase their prices then we will review ours, but there is certainly nothing like that planned on our end currently and we'll always look for the most cost-effective shipping solution when that day comes. The £4 P&P is the same for both Standard and Ultimate Crates.

    Hi WestLondonMist.

Haha, for the purpose of my "at leave five countries" statement, lets say that I considered England, Scotland and Wales as all in the UK. Andorran wrestling is where it's at ;)

As I say, we are always open to feedback. The more members we get, the more exciting items we can add. We are currently in talks with two promotions about some exciting exclusives. Nothing confirmed yet but all things that are only possible due to peoples overwhelming support.

If you're an NJPW fan then you've made a good choice in sticking around. Whilst we haven't worked with the promotion directly, we've teamed with a wrestler who NJPW fans will be very familiar with to create (what we feel is) an awesome exclusive collab item.

Thank you both for reaching out and just a reminder to everyone else that this month's Crate is open for subs until midnight tonight, at which point we switch over to March's Crate.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  11. Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that sign ups for our next Crate close on Friday at midnight, giving you just over four days left if you'd like to join us. Remember to use code UKFF10 at the checkout to get yourself 10% off your first Crate.

Although the fun lies in the mystery, we have announced that we've teamed with a wrestler to create a collaborative exclusive item for this Crate. If you're a fan of New Japan, you'll like this one.

On that note - I can also confirm that at least five different countries of professional wrestling will be represented in this month's Ultimate Crate. It's definitely our broadest mix to-date.

You can read more and sign up over at WrestleCrate.co.uk

    Thanks,

    Richard

  12. Hi Platt222,

That gentleman had a little mix up with his last Crate so there was an extra item in this month's . I've not seen the video myself but I don't think he mentions it wasn't part of the Crate as a few people have asked us this.

The book itself is the best of our (now out of print in their original format) first ten magazine. Feel free to check that out over at the Calling Spots website :)

    Thanks,

    Richard

  13. Hey Thommo,

The Standard came with the SPLX shirt, Calling Spots magazine, 'Demon' artwork, Tetsujin badge then either the Mini Pop from Funko or the Angle Auto. The Ultimate contained BOTH the Angle auto and Mini Pop plus the Tetsujin Shoot Style DVD and 'Steveweiser' bottle opener.

    Hi Lariat Tom,

Yeah, we do try and pack the Standard Crate with as much great content as we can at the lower price point but yeah, if you want to ensure that you don't miss out then the Ultimate Crate is the way to go.

Thank you both for your support, gents.

    Cheers,

    Richard.

  15. Hi everyone,

Just to let you all know that January's Crate has started to be received by our members over the weekend, if anybody is interested in seeing what was inside. We wont spoil it publicly, as not all Crates has arrived yet, but if you'd like to see the contents of this months Crate, here's a fan-unboxing video we were tagged in on Twitter: http://youtu.be/Gq16Dsry4f0

  16. Hi guys,

Just to let you know that we've tonight announced that January's Crate will contain an exclusive to Wrestle Crate variant SPLX Wrestling t-shirt.

    PROGRESSION DEFINES SUCCESS.

There is just over 8 days remaining for anybody who'd like to join the Wrestle Crate club in time for January's Crate.

    Thanks,

    Richard

  17. Hi WestLondonMist,

Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to write it.

Regarding the shirts - the sizes are quoted on the page where you select your shirt size, directly above the button for each size, so that it's visible. These sizes are direct quotes from the manufactor. Our shirt printer charges the same for heavystyle and softstyle. I made the choice for softstyle based purely on style of shirt, not cost. Of course, if enough people tell us they want heavystyle instead then I'll change that. However the feedback so far has been overwhelming positive for both shirts. I'm gutted to hear that you can't wear it.

Although this isn't a hard and fast rule, the figures (certainly the Elite figures) will most likely only feature in the Ultimate Crate. If you're not a collector then it may be worth considering the Standard Crate - costs less and less likely to receive a figure.

I hope that this helps and thank you again for the feedback.

    Thanks,

    Richard

  18. Hi guys,

So here's the "official" rundown of what was inside December's Crate.

    10265366_906689769446603_621539062028953

    Standard Crate:

25 Years of a Dead Man shirt (Exclusive to Wrestle Crate)

'Demon' artwork poster by Erle Tompkins (Exclusive to Wrestle Crate)

HOP:E Kings of Flight 2015 DVD

Wrestle Crate Christmas Card - personalised to each member with their name

'Demon' artwork notebook (Exclusive to Wrestle Crate)

    Ultimate Crate:

All of the above plus an (assorted, as Mattel sell by the series) WWE Elite Action figure.

We are still open for signups with 16 days remaining to join in time for our first Crate of 2016, which is shaping up to be a peach. Remember to enter code "UKFF10" at the checkout for 10% off your first Crate.

As always, if anybody has any questions about Wrestle Crate please just shoot me a line and I'll be more than happy to help.

Oh - and there is currently a give away taking place on our Facebook page, if anybody would like to enter that for a chance to win the contents of the Crate in the photo above.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  19. Hey Thommo,

Ah that's great to hear and we're looking forward to having you on board. Yes, the fella is called Neil and he has been a long time supporter of our magazine, but you're right; he has a certain charm and I've honestly loved his two unboxing videos.

You have until 23:59 on Feb 12th to sign up to next month's Crate. I would point out that we've sold out a day early on both occasions so far (despite desperately trying to overstock a little) so don't leave it too late.

Have a great Christmas Thommo and please do give me a shout if I can help with anything.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  20. Hey WestLondonMist - I've sent you a private message on here outlining the content inside both the Standard and Ultimate Crate this month. I'd prefer to wait for a subscriber to post a photo or such before I post official "spoilers".

    Hi TruthOfSin,

Ah man, I'm disappointed to hear that the box got bashed. We actually did a sweep of every figure once they arrived and we removed the ones with damaged packing which we will give to charity. All the ones we packed were near pristine so this must have got bashed in transit.

Good feedback on the US indy stuff. There are varying factors that are at play (other than my commitment to supporting small businesses and creative people in the UK) - most predominantly the demand for the content vs the cost of importing it (and the knock on affect that could have on the overall quality of the Crate overall that month). Also, the US indys that we've spoken to so far have offered us their older stock that they have excess of, which is counter-intuitive to my model of hand picking every item. With all of that being said, I have some US indys (as well as others from around the world) that I am VERY keen to feature down the line and will endeavor to make this happen.

So thank you for letting me know. The more people that want US indys, the more I'll spend time working with these companies. Please do feel free to contact me directly on social media or email with any suggestions you have for promotions or even future items; after all, these Crates are for the subscribers of Wrestle Crate so it's all about you.

Thanks you for your support, my good man!

    Richard
