  1. I've gone with GG by KO/TKO.

Any result here a really possiabilty though.

I keep changing my mind but I hope George wins either way. Nothing against Carl but Groves is the future and on the way up, I've been a fan since he turned pro and I like his in-ring style and his approach to fights in the lead up. His mental toughness impresses me.

  2. Started the 5:2 diet this week.

I had a prolapsed disc that compressed my spine and which resulted in losing everything waist down before I had

Emergency surgery to remove the compression back in May last year.

I can walk with the aid of a crutch and I have hydro pool sessions once a week. Looking to do some light gym work to aid further recovery and weight lose.

  3. gotta throw out some props to Sky Sports, they are doing a bang on job with the Froch/Kessler footage, tremendous buildup, im pumped.

    Very much so.

I think Sky gain confidence from knowing it will be a cracking main event and they don't need to worry.

It's got a very big time feel to it and rightly so, the build-up so far has been top notch.

    Anyone got tickets?

  4. After Khan's fight against Diaz it seemed certain he would stay at 140lbs and fight for the titles in December against either Garcia/Judah/Mathysse/Peterson, whoever was left standing. Schaffer stoked it up a few weeks later by saying Khan could face Alexander in December at 147lbs for IBF title. Khan came out the other day and said he will fight at 147lbs in next fight, then Saturday night he comes out saying he may stay at 140lbs to face Mathysse. The guy needs to make up his mind. If i was him go up face Alexander, win the fight and then it's likely he gets Mayweather in May 14.

Mathysse/Garcia hopefully will happen this year and I think that be a great fight. Garcia didn't look too sure when the camera zoomed in on him afterwards, I can't blame him after watching the destruction caused by Mathysse who looked superb.

Yeah I'm sure I heard Khan say it was killing him trying to make 140 and that he's been told 147 is ideal for his body structure .

Hope he moves to 147 because I would really fear for him if he went on to face Mathysse.

  5. unbelievable fight, for 7 rounds Ricky Burns was having a boxing lesson but there's no breaking the guy. The 7th round was the round of the year, just amazing action.

I think Gonzalez quit through a combination of a busted hand and knowing that he had nothing left, he'll no doubt regret it for the rest of his life but Burns showed why he's a world champion, you've gotta be able to grit your teeth and work through the tough times.

Ricky Burns should be the most popular fighter in the country, so likable and displays all the characteristics that casual fans want to see in boxing, yet he remains a bit of an unknown commodity outside of Scotland and the hardcore boxing fanbase...dude should be on the back pages.

After a slightly anti-climatic Mayweather event last weekend i needed a boxing pick-me-up and i got it last night. The undercard was good too, Choi/Simpson was good shit.

    Very true mate.

Burns should be a national treasure really, I suppose he his in certain parts of Scotland.

He seems a really decent bloke, very down to earth, honest and very likeable.

  6. Shocked with Gonzalez. He had the fight won.

I'm sure he could have ducked and dived for the last few rounds and tried to keep out of trouble.

To quit/give up like that with a World title on the line just leaves a bad taste for me.

  7. bit of a switch-a-roo, Pacquiao wont fight Mike Alvarado next but instead will fight Brandon Rios, goes down in November.

    I like it.

    Excellent news.

    This should be something special.

  8. I don't look for Amir Khan to make any improvements in his defence etc.. anymore I just sit back and enjoy.

Would love to see Fury vs Wilder.

Would love to see Audley call it a day (for his own good)

Thought Murray was very unlucky. I had him winning by a point or two but that includes scoring a knock down in the 10th that wasn't given.

Sergio looked like age was catching up with him. Martin showed discipline and maturity. He looked comfortable throughout.

  9. I thought it was obvious that Dany would kill the bloke with her dragon, but the way she did it was magnificent.

Thought the same thing Keith. You could see what was going to happen a mile off but it was still an excellent scene and episode.

Love the Diana Rigg character. Best newcomer for me.

  10. ...he is one of the few characters I don't feel sorry for

Speaking of, is it just me and my cold black heart that hates characters like Samwell? Take any film/show like this there is always the fat useless character who is "lovable". I detest these characters and end up cheering should they get deaded despite everyone else crying.

I hope Samwell gets killed soon.

I felt sorry for him to begin with but he's starting to get on my nerves tbh.

Really strong episode last night though, really enjoyed it.

  11. Just a rumour but I hear the Kell Brook fight might be off again.

A foot injury or so I'm told. Kell waiting on scan results Monday morning.

I feel for both guys if true. This fight just seems like it's not meant to be. :(

  12. Yeah I wouldn't worry about the AB bet either. He's in amazing form right now and will get many opportunites to score runs.

Think Malinga will be missing today. I've read he's got a slight injury, back strain if I remember correctly. Might make the difference in terms of bowling attacks.

  13. Well the IPL is under way.

Very one sided opener yesterday but today's game could well be a cracker.

Just read that Mumbai have a perfect record of four wins from four at the home ground of the Royal Challengers.

Was going to back the Challengers with Chris Gayle opening and AB in the squad but he isn't in India yet so won't play today.

Virat Kholi takes the role of captain this year for the home side and Ricky Ponting will lead out Mumbia.

Really looking forward to this one.

  14. Had a look, pretty similar to my friends at Winners Enclosure.

13:30 Far West 9/2, Stocktons Wing 12/1 (EW)

14:05 Tennis Cap, Ifandbutwhynot 11/1 (EW)

14:40 At Fishers Cross 3/1 - BIG ONE for me, should be a great AP McCoy ride.

    15:20 Bobs Worth 11/4

    16:00 Backstage 12/1 (EW)

    16:40 First Avenue 20/1 (EW)

    17:15 Petit Robin 20/1 (EW)

A friend who knows his horse racing makes At Fishers Cross his NAP for the whole meeting.

Good luck Jambo. Hope it does the biz!
