Aye, you're probably on the ball with that. She's worth seeking out to anyone who hasn't seen her work.Â
I think she gets a lot more credit over in the states because she was far more visible in SNL. Her work over here was limited to her films with Gene Wilder and a few cameos wasn't it?Â
Malbranque knows! People should really seek out Gilda Radner. Doesn't get a sniff of the credit for how influential and good she was. Phenomenal performer.
Â
Slapnut, was going to mention that. It's a fantastic sketch piece, absolutely zero dialogue. Just great physical comedy.
Â
The lack of a proper SNL over here has always confused me. The concept would be be piss easy and yet all the attempts have been meddled with bollocks concept tweaking and awful casting.

Bullock is great when she does the funnies.
Â
There was a female stand up, I think her name was Lisa Lampinelli (sic), who brought out Dane Cook levels of hate from me.

To throw in some more. Danielle Ward, Victoria Wood, Isy Suttie, Josie Long, Caroline Quentin, Tina Fey, Shelley Long, Sara Pascoe, Julie Walters, Celia Imrie, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin. God knows how many more. All really talented and very funny.Â
Take Amy Poehler off that list and I honestly wouldn't know if you were agreeing with him or not. Sarah Millican and Whoopi Goldberg!!!Â
Kristen WiigShe looks like Ricky Gervais to me, in Bridesmaids anyway. Women comedians and actress' in general arent funny are they?
Amy Poehler
Sarah Millican
Whoopi Goldberg
Mindy Kaling
Your Mum
Â
All of the top of my head. There are plenty more, I assure you.
Â
But yeah, it's a stupid thing to say and comments like that are the reason that everyone who finds the trailer terrible is being labelled as sexist.
Â
McCarthy is shite though, the Chris Farley comparison is rather spot on. Schumer can fucking do one. Not my style at all, but she has an audience, much like shitarse Sarah Silverman does.

I can't believe people in 2016 still don't think women are or have been funny. It's mind boggling.

David Bixenspan is a writer, also hosts some cracking wrestling podcasts.
-
Doubt Bertie is the only one tapping hook ups when he's over here.
Â
Go on Kat lad!!!!
-
Hopefully WWE offer Rose some help as opposed to fucking him right off.
-
Feel for the bloke a bit. He's in a tough spot at the moment.
-
I've been away in the theatre for a few days so this is surprising news to catch up with. No major cuts, though I'm sad about Zeb and Sandow.
-
I don't think he's planning on sticking around to be honest.
-
Yeah, the big guy is on his way out. Bloody shame too. That CM Punk bit on Payback was super. I love The Big Guy.
-
'We're Alive'. A four series episodic 'zombie' apocalypse podcast. Great stuff.

Â
Going to be a bit bold and say, I think Ric is off his face here.Â
he actually looks absolutely nothing like i expected him to look:
Â
So wasted he probably spent hours boring Pavarotti about air hostesses.
-
He was that drunk it was a crap punch, the sweaty bear hug afterwards was more unpleasant, thus stamping on the drunk sods foot. Chokeout has some stories from that night if I recall.
-
Freebird and his missus were colossal divs at a PCW show. Richie ended up whacking me when I didn't have a spare smoke. Guess the stuff said was post incident mind.
-
Fucking hell. Ric will done Raw after Payback then probably. Idiot.
-
Chilli, any chance you can send me a link to the civil rights documentary you were on about earlier in the page? I'm probably being a massive wally, but I couldn't find it.
Â
Would really recommend reading Taylor Branch's 3 part history of the civil rights movement if you get the chance. Fascinating period of time and it still boggles my mind how recently it was.

The first two original series were fucking tremendous. However the series changed rapidly when it returned on the BBC in 2002. There was absolutely no reason to cast Noel Clarke as Wayne's son. He just didn't fit in with the other cast members. But yeah all 26 episodes from Series 1 & 2 are fantastic.
I got through 3 series so far. For me it goes a bit meh near the end of the second series. The first series is absolutely brilliant though. Outstanding stuff. Pat Roach is particularly enjoyable.

JCP was bought out by Turner, it was rebranded as WCW. GCW is another territory. That's pretty much the basic. November 1988 is the change from JCP/WCW, but it's minor branding changes. The weekly shows are easy enough to follow but they had a fuck ton other syndicated programs on the box then too.
-
Is it wrong that aged 28, I only just got round to watching 'Auf Weidersehen Pet' for the first time?
-
Â
Â
Chilli, what is that documentary on? I need a good documentary to get my teeth into and I don't know as much as I should about the Cold War.
Â
Might want to try this Punkstep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22KIQ1QNnhE&list=PL3H6z037pboGWTxs3xGP7HRGrQ5dOQdGc
Â
25 parter on the Cold War which I remember being very good. Not sure if it's the same one that Chilli is watching but it's worth a bash if you're looking for a decent overview of a wonderfully interesting period.
Yeah sorry guys, late reply. That is the same series. About to start 'Eyes on the Prize'. A 14 part doc on civil rights movement.
-
A 24 part documentary about The Cold War is my current viewing. It's great stuff, but I'm a boring history freak.

He should fuck off to Japan and be a massive bloke. Plus, he doesn't need the 'got better in Japan' pish because he's already bags of fun.
