    Knocked Up - 2hrs 9mins

    Bridesmaids- 2hrs 5mins

You could easily cut out about 25 minutes from Bridesmaids and about 129 minutes from Knocked Up

Katherine Hiegl is so punchable. Something you should never feel against a woman

Is Hiegl the one loads in the industry detest because she's a prick? Or someone similar. I'm think I'm thinking of the lass fron the later series of Scrubs.

Malbranque knows! People should really seek out Gilda Radner. Doesn't get a sniff of the credit for how influential and good she was. Phenomenal performer.

I think she gets a lot more credit over in the states because she was far more visible in SNL. Her work over here was limited to her films with Gene Wilder and a few cameos wasn't it?
Aye, you're probably on the ball with that. She's worth seeking out to anyone who hasn't seen her work.

Slapnut, was going to mention that. It's a fantastic sketch piece, absolutely zero dialogue. Just great physical comedy.

The lack of a proper SNL over here has always confused me. The concept would be be piss easy and yet all the attempts have been meddled with bollocks concept tweaking and awful casting.

She looks like Ricky Gervais to me, in Bridesmaids anyway. Women comedians and actress' in general arent funny are they?

    Kristen Wiig

    Amy Poehler

    Sarah Millican

    Whoopi Goldberg

    Mindy Kaling

    Your Mum

All of the top of my head. There are plenty more, I assure you.

Take Amy Poehler off that list and I honestly wouldn't know if you were agreeing with him or not. Sarah Millican and Whoopi Goldberg!!!

But yeah, it's a stupid thing to say and comments like that are the reason that everyone who finds the trailer terrible is being labelled as sexist.

To throw in some more. Danielle Ward, Victoria Wood, Isy Suttie, Josie Long, Caroline Quentin, Tina Fey, Shelley Long, Sara Pascoe, Julie Walters, Celia Imrie, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin. God knows how many more. All really talented and very funny.

McCarthy is shite though, the Chris Farley comparison is rather spot on. Schumer can fucking do one. Not my style at all, but she has an audience, much like shitarse Sarah Silverman does.

  4. Chilli, any chance you can send me a link to the civil rights documentary you were on about earlier in the page? I'm probably being a massive wally, but I couldn't find it.

Would really recommend reading Taylor Branch's 3 part history of the civil rights movement if you get the chance. Fascinating period of time and it still boggles my mind how recently it was.

  5. The first two original series were fucking tremendous. However the series changed rapidly when it returned on the BBC in 2002. There was absolutely no reason to cast Noel Clarke as Wayne's son. He just didn't fit in with the other cast members. But yeah all 26 episodes from Series 1 & 2 are fantastic.

I got through 3 series so far. For me it goes a bit meh near the end of the second series. The first series is absolutely brilliant though. Outstanding stuff. Pat Roach is particularly enjoyable.

  6. JCP was bought out by Turner, it was rebranded as WCW. GCW is another territory. That's pretty much the basic. November 1988 is the change from JCP/WCW, but it's minor branding changes. The weekly shows are easy enough to follow but they had a fuck ton other syndicated programs on the box then too.

Chilli, what is that documentary on? I need a good documentary to get my teeth into and I don't know as much as I should about the Cold War.

Might want to try this Punkstep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22KIQ1QNnhE&list=PL3H6z037pboGWTxs3xGP7HRGrQ5dOQdGc

25 parter on the Cold War which I remember being very good. Not sure if it's the same one that Chilli is watching but it's worth a bash if you're looking for a decent overview of a wonderfully interesting period.

Yeah sorry guys, late reply. That is the same series. About to start 'Eyes on the Prize'. A 14 part doc on civil rights movement.
