  1. I only went to night 2. Incredible show with only the somewhat short main event being a bit of a let down. Personally I would have preferred Gibson vs End for the final.

Gibson/Gallagher, Hero/Walter, Gibson/Andrews and Hero/End were 4 of the best matches I've ever seen live. That they were all on the same show is quite the feat. Hero in particular was a complete star. It's a shame he has the genetics of a fatty, if he was in better shape he'd definitely be a big player in WWE.

My thoughts were exactly the same about Chris Hero, god he could move for a big guy - totally changed my opinion on him.

Honorable mentions go to Andrews/Hero, Riots/Origin and Walter/Mastiff from night one.

Seeing a Futureshock Main Event 200 miles down south was great to see, Gibson is bloody brilliant in his role - Weeeeerrrrrrrrrrlddddd

  2. My highlight of the weekend at PCW was the Ligero vs Kirby match in the afternoon, just something completely different from the matches i have seen the 2 have. Kirby as the sarcastic heel was just refreshing from the usual he acts at PCW.

Match highlights - the tag team series especially War Machine vs The Hooligans. But still can't get my head around the Riots getting beat again (The firm are looking very beatable early on, but hopefully along way to go with the storyline).

Matt Sydal vs Bubblegum and his match with Mastiff were decent

  3. Best individual PROGRESS show in, well, ages tonight.

For a show that didn't look much on paper, that was well worth the £12.

Jinny vs Toni Storm if you like your character driven stuff this was the match for you. When Toni did the ripping the binbag off what a reaction.

Moustache Mountain were decent, still don't understand Damian Dunne.

Haskins vs Webster, Scurll vs End were really good. The reaction to End coming out as the mystery was fun. I'm sure i saw many a front row person hugging.

Daddy vs T-Bone was 2 big buggers smashing each other.

Main event was 30 minutes of great action and helps make the Origin more stronger.

  4. Talking of judging that masher dodd vs scott cardle was a bit dodgy. Everyone on sky had dodd winning by 3 or 4, then when it came to the official cards dodd hadnt won with any of the judges.

  5. So results from yesterdays show in blackpool:

    Lionheart beat Kenny Williams

    Joe hendry beat dave rayne

    Sonjay dutt beat bubblegum

Chris dickinson beat jonny moss in a surprisingly good match.

Jeff jarrett beat noam dar via pin. Jarrett was greeted with "shit noel edmonds" and deal or no deal" chants. Karen jarrett was a bit over the top spitting at fans.

Iestyn rees took up the masterlock challenge with chris masters but ended when rees just laid the beatdown on masters.

Team single beat the team replacing the hooligans - jack baron and another lad who i didnt catch the name of. The young duo had a good showing what they could - baron looks decent.

Sha samuels beat dave mastiff via rollup after the 3 blokes in balaclavas helped sha distract the ref. This has now setup sha and the 3 associates vs mastiff and team single at the next blackpool show.

Overall not a bad show, new venue felt a bit cramped though (sort of resembled the other venue in preston that pcw used a couple of times).

Luckily only stopped another hour before the live male strip show started downstairs. Some interesting fancy dress outfits including a female sloth and jimmy krankie.

  6. That japanese lad looked half decent vs the lithuanian yesterday.

2 comedy moments have come from the womens matches:

The reigning and defending torremilinos open champ - did she just challenge people sun lounger by sun lounger.

The old lass vs trina gulliver trying to play up to the crowd for a bullshot whilst gulliver has a face like thunder in the background.

  7. British Match of the Year:

Jimmy Havoc Vs Will Ospreay (Chapter 20 Progress)

Grado Vs Drew Galloway (Fear and Loathing)

Marty Scurll vs AJ Styles vs Will Ospreay (Rev Pro Uprising)

    British Wrestler of the Year:

    Will Ospreay

    Marty Scurll

    Zack Gibson

    Promotion of the Year:

    Progress Wrestling

    PCW

    Tidal Wrestling

  8. I think what ruins charlotte and paige is this whole "who started the divas revolution" bit.who cares!! All we want is good meaningful stuff but wwe continue with the awful scripting. Charlotte standing for one whole minute silence in the middle of a promo was shocking.

  9. Having also been there myself, i can also concur on the great view from the back of the hall. Plus having only been to the Manchester and liverpool house shows got to say the Glasgow experience was amazing.

For me outside the havoc vs ospreay match at progress, for perfect heel/face matches the grado/galloway was up there for best this year.

  10. So full results from this past weekend's Fright Night Supershow (Lots of card changes from the original line up)

    Afternoon Show:

Rampage Brown beat Martin Kirby with the Piledriver

Sha Samuels beat Charlie Garrett with a sleeper (Samuels is just very good as a bad guy)

Bubblegum beat Trevor Lee (Good match which included Trevor going up for a foot stomp and banging his head on the ceiling)

    Lionheart beat Ashton Smith

Noam Dar beat T-Bone by submission

    Rhyno beat Rampage Brown

Charlie Garrett & Ashton Smith won the gauntlet tag to go on and face Team Single in the Evening

    Evening Show:

Joey Hayes (Replaced by later revealed Bram) & Martin Kirby beat Dave Rayne and Scotty 2 Hotty

Rhyno beat Iestyn Rees (Rees was dressed as Rick Rude but ended up looking more like Freddie Mercury which provoked a 2 minute singalong of "Bohemian Rhapsody")

Team Single beat Ashton Smith & Charlie Garrett (Really good match with the makeshift team of Smith and GNG looking good)

Viper & Mr Anderson beat Mickie James & Magnus via standing senton from Viper via Anderson

Sha Samuels beat Lionheart in a I quit Match, afterwards Lionheart turned heel by superkicking the raffle lady.

El Ligero beat Noam Dar & Bubblegum in a 3 way elimination match to win the Cruiserweight title

Jeff Jarrett beat Dave Rayne in the Main Event.

    Brief thoughts:

Happy that Lionheart has turned heel, due to months of crowd apathy towards him since his return.

Ligero winning the belt is a nice change and sets up 2 further matches one vs gum and one vs dar.

What happened to Trevor Lee not being on the 2nd show, i guess it must have been the bang on the head

For a show with quite a few changes, it was a decent enough show with i would say the Tag Title Match, the 3 way and Lee vs Bubblegum are the ones to search out for further viewing.
