  1. Theres a point in the Calzaghe Kessler fight in round 12 where lampley or kellerma says "Kessler is fighting like an animal" and Steward casually says " yeh but i like that" always loved that piece of commentary from him.

I remember that Manny Steward quote but couldn't remember which fight it was from.

As theres no boxing on tonight, have a butchers at the ultimate 12 round war below, the best ever rounds 1-12 of individual fights. Watching Morales in rnd 5 with the speed and accuracy he has, its a shame seeing him plodding and slow last week, from what i have seen of him, what a fighter. Round one obviousley needa a mention, as does 9 - my personal favourite round ever. Great viewing.

Great stuff, cheers for that. Just watched it. As far as I can tell it was..

Rd 1 - Marvin Hagler vs Tommy Hearns

Rd 2 - Terry Norris vs Troy Waters

Rd 3 - Rafael Marquez vs Israel Vazquez 2

Rd 4 - Rafael Marquez vs Israel Vazquez 3

Rd 5 - Erik Morales vs Marco Antonio Barrera 1

Rd 6 - Oscar De La Hoya vs Ike Quartey

    Rd 7 - ???

Rd 8 - Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Yaqui Lopez 2

Rd 9 - Arturo Gatti vs Mickey Ward 1

Rd 10 - Jose Luis Castillo vs Diego Corrales 1

Rd 11 - Erik Morales vs Marco Antonio Barrera 3

Rd 12 - Carl Froch vs Jermain Taylor

Anyone know what fight Round 7 is from? Looks like a belter.

I've seen all but 2 of them fights. Never saw the fight in Round 7 or Norris vs Waters (which I now have to see). Gatti/Ward and Castillo/Corrales were the obvious picks. And no surprise to see Morales/Barrera and Marquez/Vazquez in there.

As great as Froch vs Taylor was though, I'd have gone with Chavez vs Taylor 1 personally for round 12. Or now maybe even Martinez vs Chavez Jr.

I'm saddened by the lack of Chacon vs Limon 4 in there. One of the best fights I've ever seen hands down. Easily. If they'd done 'Best 15 Rounds' then they'd surely have to include a round from this beast of a fight.

If you consider yourself a Boxing fan and you've never seen Chacon vs Limon 4 then do yourself a favour and watch it. Full thing's on Youtube so no excuse...

    Chacon vs Limon IV

Really is fantastic. Has to be a top 3 favourite fight of all time for me.

great trailer, if this doesnt get the blood rushing through the veins i do not know what will. I assume its from hbo as they are showing the hatton comeback - hatton comeback trailer.

Man that's a great video. Rooting hard for Ricky. I don't know what to expect but I'm hoping he does well. As unlikely as it is I'd love to see him turn back the clock like 2002 Shawn Michaels.

    "Let's fuckin' 'ave 'im"

That Chacon v Limon fight was awesome! How hot was the crowd!!! How shit was the belt!!! Totally brutal war, Loved it thanks

  2. Somebody said on Twitter that despite the last eight years of his professional career (he did OK until he went the full 12 with Julius Francis), he won us our first gold medal in Olympic boxing in 32 years and everything we've achieved since then has come off the back of that. With no Audley, there'd be no lottery funding and I know boxing brings out the worst in all of us but let's cut the hyperbole, he threw plenty of punches in his career.

He had some occasional high water marks, often followed by ridiculous lows that would cause a less delusional man to question his career. KOing Danny Williams and Michael Sprott in rematches and winning Prizefighter was probably as good as it got, showing he was a decent domestic fighter. However, his 12-round stinker against Danny Williams, the KO loss to Sprott in 2007 and his non-performance against David Haye showed just how dismal a fighter he could be on his worst days. It just got to a point in his career where he always seemed to freeze when there was some expectation. He never had a proper jab and thus could never use his long arms to keep his opponents away. If you can divorce Audley the amateur from Audley the pro, maybe we could all have a bit more respect for what he actually achieved in the sport of boxing and achieved for the sport of boxing in this country.

I did divorce his amateur achievements by saying how shit his Professinal "career" was! When he turned pro i seem to remember he had a promotional team that consisted of a bunch of tosser trying to pay as little as possible to potential opponents, Nobody would fight him because he would not pay the going rate for a fellow pro to get in the ring & put his life on the line.

He has had a fairly long pro career & your list of high points is rather poor IMHO. Like i say, Bye bye Fraudley you will not be missed. But well done for getting far more money than you actually ever deserved.

Stop calling him Fraudley for fucks sake. You read like the most annoying bastard.

Well i do have a mother & father so can't really agree with the "Bastard" charge? I love the way people on here are continually rude & aggressive to annoy other people who have different opinions or are deemed as "Shit posters", I prefare to annoy others by just being myself

  4. Well i did try & tell you all! This guy is the real deal! Bye bye Fraudley can't really say you will be missed

Tonight it was Audley, he was knocked out by a world quality shot that would have ended ANYONE! Also, listen to Fury being interviewed between rounds of the DeGale fight. OK, he comes across as a tool but I think the next 6-9 months will build up to a Fury/Price sell out event in 2013.
Nah, Still Fraudley. Yes it was a quality KO but how many punches did the Fraudster throw? Was it one? There was more punches thrown in the DeGale fight than in Fraudley's entire professional "career". Time to hang his boots up & stop robbing the paying public! I think the gypsy could provide Price with a few more problems, But can't see anything other than a Price victory.
  5. I know this might seem really absurd but i have a feeling Fraudley may knock Price out, i really hope he doesnt but i just have a feeling this lump will knock him out. I have put a quid on an Audley knockout in every round, it ranges from 50 to 80/1 odds and a few quid on Audley any method at 11/2.

Degale is on ch5 next week as well, should be a good night of boxing.

Brook is on the following week with Jamie Mcdonell on the undercard. I really like Mcdonell, like Ricky Burns he seems a really nice chap.

I watched Ringside, good stuff, Khan seemed a bit of a dick to me, wether it was just hyping a future fight or not i don't know. Khan seems to think he is in the elite of Boxing when he clearly isnt. In saying that he did have a point that Brook has really been in with no one world class. Would be an interesting fight.

On a different note, it amazes me how all the boxers who have been on Ringside go on about how great Ricky Hatton looks etc.....but no one has ever mentioned that Hattons punch resistance may have gone. I really want Hatton to succeed on his comeback but fear the worst. His style is not built for longevity and being 34 yrs old with over 40 fights under his belt and not having fought for 3 and a half years i really fear the worst.

Well it's your money to throw away? He aint called "Fraudley" for nothing! Really looking forward to Price laying him out, Hopefully the Fraudster will then retire and give us all a rest from his bullshit & shoddy performances.

  6. Bit of a controversial one here! What value do the UKFF'ers put into the inbetween round advice given by corner men to their boxers? I know that Freddie Roach has a tonne of respect within boxing circles, But do you feel that given the desperate place Khan was in as he sat in his corner just prior to the finish, That a barely audible Roach could help him as much as another coach could have done? Even in the footage of Khan's training camp, The producer had to use subtitles so the viewers could understand what Freddie was trying to say.

Obviously i mean no disrespect to Roach, I just felt that given the seriousness of the situation that if you believe corner men can sometimes dig a fighter out of exreme danger, Was it a bad idea for Roach to have Khan's ear? I am not saying Roach has nothing left to offer boxing, Just that he must now think of stepping down from his head trainer role on fight night.

  7. Ah well, cheers anyway - sounds like it might all be over by the time Sir Tom finishes rocking for the night.

I wonder if he will duet with Cerys Matthews either onstage or backstage. Not now, boyo.

My God, You've just "put over" my old "Celebrity Shagging" Thread! That needs to return

  8. Just invested my birthday money in these bad boys:

    Bruiser Brody by Emerson Murray

Wrestlers are like seagulls by JJ Dillon

Long Days & short pay by Duke West

    Assasin by Joe Hamilton

    Inside out by Ole Anderson

Is that wrestling fake? by Ivan kolloff

+ Adrian Street has released 4 books all at the same time

  9. Oh right, cheers. Didn't know it was off altogether.

The undercard situation is something that's always frustrated me about Boxing. It's all up in the air right until the last minute most of the time. I know with a fight like this they could put Les Dennis vs Paul Daniels on the undercard and it wouldn't really matter, it will sell regardless on the strength of the main event. But it would be nice to have the full card announced a bit further out. It can't be that difficult they've had months to get it sorted.

edit - actually Les Dennis vs Neil Morrisey would be better. Revenge match for Les. Between that and Haye/Chisora it would be a real night of grudges.

I would pay to see Daniels getting a well deserved thwacking! I was gutted when the Robbie Williams v Liam Gallagher never came off! By coincidence i was wondering today if Vince would have turned up on the WCW PPV when Bischoff offered him out, How it would have panned out? Bischoff has age on his side + martial arts, But what about a pissed off, Roided up McMahon fighting for the very future of the WWE?.....Interesting.

  10. Both Chisora and Haye are a joke. This fight they're having is basically a freakshow bout that came about because both of them acted like thugs in Germany.

It's pretty sad that boxing in the UK has come to this kind of shite.

"Acted" like thugs. It was like a poor edition of TNA or something? Pathetic! Bring on Michael Price, I simply can't wait!
  11. I'm disgusted at the lack of appreciation for A-Force's herculean effort and glorious victory last night.

Nice to see that "Ordinary" Harrison has sussed out that it is easier to win a boxing match if you actually throw punches! That greedy, Overrated piece of crap owes me a refund on the money i laid out to watch him run away from that other piece of overrated crap, Haye! I have been on here a few times now, But forget these jokers trying to turn boxing into the WWE. Let's all get behind David Price, Good boxer, Good bloke & good chance of actually backing up his words. Which other British Heavyweight has all 3 of those qualities?

  12. Froch was simply amazing! Am i the only red blooded man who would happily crawl bare chested through broken glass, Just to stick dead matches into Mrs. Froch's shit?

  13. Can anyone think of a more blatent case of ducking than Tyson Fury with David Price in recent memory?

No, but you can't blame him. Fury is gunning for a title shot against either Klitschko brother. He won't win of course, but he'll make some decent cash in the process.

A fight with Price scuppers that, as he'll struggle to last five frames with the guy.

Fury & his gypsy mates are a joke! Is there any of the UKFFers out there who give anyone a chance against Price, On the domestic scene?

  14. Yeah David Price looks legit. Really strong performance and showed a lot of patience to not blow his wad when he had Sexton hurt. I wish he would have got the chance to twat Fury. Fury knows the score though, he wants none of Price.

I love Kessler. Always some excitement when he's in there and a vicious KO. I still wanna see a Kessler vs Froch rematch at some point. The first one was great.

Froch vs Bute this Saturday. Should be a belter.

Thought Price's jabs looked more impressive than a lot of boxers right hooks! Impressive stuff, Can't wait to see how his career pans out. It was only a few months ago he took out Tom Dallas in what some thought was a bit of a 50/50 bout. How different is the direction of both fighters careers now?

  15. Great display from Price, there. Complete control from the first bell and even when he wobbled Sexton he didn't lose control and just waited to finish him off. He's a class act, Price, and he's going to go through the division quite comfortably until he meets the big guns. Hopefully they'll not throw in him at the deep end too soon because in 18-24 months he could be a real threat. Made up for the lad.

He makes Haye/Chisora/Fury look like pussy cats! If i were them, I would avoid Price like the plague (Fury already has) Finally a real heavyweight prospect & a good role model
  16. How bad were the last 3 Tom Dallas fights? Has he ever beaten anyone of note, In a convincing fashion? I did enjoy the night of boxing on Saturday, But would have enjoyed it a whole lot more had the 3 main fights not been so one sided.
