  1. When did start using the mesh fence cage as opposed to the blue-bar cage? Was it Benoit/Angle on RAW?

I know they used a mesh fence cage in the 70s & early 80s before the blue-bar cage, which I think debuted at WM2?

  2. My money is on The Authority screwing Bryan at Mania only for Hogan/Vince to play the white knight and stick a beaten, battered Bryan into the main and win the title against the odds.

Immediately what I thought is going to happen, mainly because I just don't see HHH putting Bryan over clean. I hope I'm wrong with that, but I just don't see it. There'd have to be a shitload of shennanigans happen though to cost Bryan the match to warrant it otherwise you get like what happened with Mysterio going into WM22. I want to see Russo-riffic levels of interference to cost Bryan and then have Vince as the owner of WWE rather than Host Hogan) reverse the decision.

What makes you say that? It's what the last 6 months has been building up to, if not that specific match, at the very least Bryan's big moment of overcoming the authority. That would be massively tainted if he failed to beat the figurehead but had a higher authority give him a go anyway.

Its just the sceptic in me more than anything else. I can see it going one of two ways, that either HHH wins through shennanigans and the decision is changed by Vince as we mentioned or Bryan beats him with a roll up then gets a pasting post-match. I hope its the second scenario, but I just think they'll go with the first

  3. I'm working my way WCW 98 PPVs at the minute. Was all going well up until the last three matches of Uncensored were it just fell off a cliff starting with Curt Hennig v Bret Hart. I know that sounds like somekind of pro-wrestling blasphemy, but this match was just boring as hell. Then you have Sting defending the title against Scott Hall, which wasn't completely horrendous but was instantly forgettable followed by nWo Hogan v nWo Savage in a cage match that ends in a non-finish. At one point the ref lets them out of the cage to brawl outside of the cage before then telling them to get back in, just made no sense at all

  5. I haven't liked the idea of a Shield Triple Threat match, but could see them being in this Battle Royal. Reigns to eliminate Ambrose the win then do the proper breakup on RAW the next night. Plus its another point for Reigns' list of achievements to go alongside his Royal Rumble eliminations record

  6. Its worth checking the sections as videos seem to come and go from them. The Factions episode of Legends of Wrestling has reappeared in the vault as has the episodes of ECW and the Maple Leaf Garden episodes in their respective sections

  7. I've only read the first Sin City book, but from what I understand they are intertwining stories (I believe Frank Miller called them 'yarns') rather than being a linier narrative, so whilst something may happen in one story, they may appear elsewhere in the Sin City universe as this is another characters story (in the case of A Dame To Kill For, its one of Dwight's stories).

The first film incorporated three of the yarns: The Hard Goodbye (Marv), The Big Fat Kill (Dwight), That Yellow Bastard (Hartigan). So while SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

    Marv is executed

in The Hard Goodbye, he appears elsewhere as they are different stories at different points in the timeline, eg - Nancy (Jessica Alba in the first film) appears in both The Hard Goodbye in a minor role, but is a central character in That Yellow Bastard. Likewise with Gail (Rosario Dawson) appears briefly in The Hard Goodbye but is featured more in The Big Fat Kill. The same applies for Bruce Willis who was also on the cast list ( SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

Bruce Willis' character, Hartigan, commits suicide in That Yellow Bastard, but will have minor roles in other stories

    )

    Hope that makes sense

  8. Just finished watching WCW Superbrawl VIII, great show before it all started to go to pot. Jericho theme replaced with his first WWF theme and DDP's theme replaced too. As expected really, im amazed that WCW was able to use them. Suprised to see Michael Buffer wasn't edited out either. But I suppose if workers are getting paid individual royalties from network stuff then I suppose they don't need to pay him either. Can't believe WCW paid Buffer $200,000 per appearance. Talk about money for old rope

  9. It was working fine when I could log in, bar the live stream jumping forward a few seconds.

A quick favour, if anybody has the time. When you click your profile name on the top left of WWE.com and it takes you to your profile details, is there a link or page where you can view your billing/paypal information?

    All I can see is:

    * Click to go to your profile (top left of screen on WWE homepage)

    * Underneath the WWE Network heading (list of options on the left hand side) select 'Billing Information'

    * This tells you

    - what you are subscribed to

    - your next billing date

    - how much you will be charged

    - when your subscription will expire

    - a link to change your auto-renew preference

There is then a separate section labelled 'Payment Information', with a click here option to update your payment information

  10. Tell me about it. Been out of work since start of January and seem to eat just to fill the day, which is I know is really fucking pathetic and I just need to sort myself the fuck out. I've been bigger before and lost it. I've done it once I can do it again

  11. With regards to the above spoilers, this weeks episode has Solomon Crowe v Sylvester Lefort removed and replaced with Adam Rose against Wesley Blake. I'm assuming this was taped at another time as Tensai shows up on commentry despite not being there at any other time prior and is gone again at the start of Zayn v Graves

  12. He can do really good promos as well. He did some great stuff on NXT and, although it was in a different context, his Team Hell No stuff and that confrontation with The Rock was excellent. He's just repeating the same old shit now.

is that the one from RAW #1000?

His 'what the fuck are you doing here?' face was great

  13. Well it's a judgement call right? How did you feel? Did you vibe with the guy? Do you think you narrowly missed out? Only you, having been there, can read the situation and decide what's best.

In theory, it's not a terrible idea to get in contact if you think you only narrowly missed out.

We did seem to get along great in the interview. It was real laid back and we talked for close to an hour, which if I was to not get the job anyway would have ended much sooner than that. Which leads me to think that just stating my intention to apply would be a good thing

EDIT: So i thought "Fuck it, do it! What have you got to lose?", o i go to my email to write, and low and behold

Thanks for your CV, I will contact you by 19 March if you are shortlisted for an interview.

    Regards

    ...

Now this has come from his personal email not his business one, which says to me he remembers me in some way, so surely thats a good thing

  14. Not too sure. He seems to say the wrong things on twitter from what I've seen, talking about poor booking decisions to having a best of 1000 series with Kofi. Just needs to wind his neck in a bit. other than that I'm not too sure
