I think it would make the papers but not the front page. Would probably get an obituary in The Guardian, Dimebag Darrell got a full page there in 2004, I could see Vince getting at least half a page. Could maybe see it appearing online news outlets.
Doubt it would make the television news though, certainly not in the UK.

New to the network, I should say

I've glanced through some recent interviews with Chris Jericho and he really comes across like a right prick, the way he talks about wrestling and WWE its almost as if he's to good for it all now and is very blasay (if thats how you spell it) its almost as if he's embarrassed by his career. He talks about whether he may or may not return to WWE and it seems as if he's thinking the fans and the WWE should hold their breath while he decides, his wifes not a fan and his kids aren't fans and there not really bothered about wrestling....I think they need to realise its wrestling/WWE that got them the big house and their comfortable living.
Â
I used to really respect Jericho and his long and varied career, I've read both his books and I really thought I felt his passion for wrestling but I suppose the Rock and Roll music lifestyle has dwindled that passion or it could be the fact, he's done with wrestling and now feels his can look down upon it. I couldn't care if he returns or not, he's no Austin, Rock, Hogan as much as I can imagine he feels he is. He's probably made a lot of money over the years and probably continues to do so but he needs to realise that if theres ever a time his music career falls flat on its arse its more Chris Jericho that will need WWE than WWE needs Chris Jericho.

Fozzy are a nothing band that have played rock & roll meccas such as Hull's Welly Club (famous for having a sticky floor at the start of the night) and Yardbirds in Grimsby and supporting rock heavyweights like Soil and Ugly Kid Joe. They tour the UK every six months because nowhere else wants them. He does is it because he can and wants to do other things with his life and doesnt simply want to known as Chris Jericho the wrestler. He's done everything he could possibly want to in wrestling and goes back when can benefit from it whilst he tries to make a name for himself doing other things which sadly won't happen for him because he always be labelled as a wrestler. Fozzy is his priority at the moment, but they will always be know as the band that has a wrestler as its singer

There's a couple of new episodes of 'Legends of Wrestling' been added too. One episode focuses on tag teams, which I imagine will feature all the usual suspects, but there's one that focuses on outdoor shows and has some great behind the scenes footage from Wrestlemania IX. Think some of it may have been on 'The True Story of Wrestlemania', but if you haven't seen that it might be worth catching it here

Elimination Chamber 2014 is now on the network
-
Anyone been watching Hostages on channel4? I've stuck with it as it started off well but has then been dragged out beyond belief and there's still 4 episodes to go (taking it to 15 in total). You could have easily cut it by at least 6 episodes

To be fair, you didn't miss much. The match at Hell In A Cell was fucking woeful

Two Sin Caras? I'm well out of the loop.
Â
Did you not see the feud between the two Sin Caras a couple of years back? Sin Cara (blue/azul) v Sin Cara (black/negro)
-
Regarding Sin Cara's release - hasn't he said he's going to be doing bookings as Mistico? much to the annoyance of CMLL
Â
Were did it go wrong for him? Was it simply a case of getting thrown in at the deep end instead of spending 6 months or so in developmental? Or was he just not right for WWE regardless

Â
Never knew about this. Seems that WWE wanted to have WCW do its own house shows in mid 2001 just before they started with the Invasion PPV
-
Good move, but that's going to hell of a long night if you watch the full thing. I might give the main a try live but if there's issues I don't have a problem waiting till the next day.
Â
Any update on when the newer RAW are to be added. I only ask because I noticed they are still not on there and it has now passed the 30 days. Unless they're going to add RAW, Smackdown and Elimination Chamber all at the same time in one go

Watched that this morning. Its been my favourite of the countdown shows so far

The first episode of the new series of Game Of Thrones will be broadcast at the same time in the UK and the US.
Â
In America, season four of the HBO show will air at 21:00 Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Sunday 6 April, with Sky Atlantic broadcasting it in the UK at the same time, 02:00 BST on 7 April.
Â
The UK channel will then repeat the show at 21:00 BST on Monday 7 April.
Â
The simulcast was announced at the UK launch of the fourth series at London's Guildhall.
Â
The new series carries the tagline Valar Morghulis, which means All Men Must Die, with two trailers released earlier this week.
Â
Directors for the series include Michelle MacLaren, who has worked on Breaking Bad, and West Wing producer Alex Graves.
Â
Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss, Gangs of New York's Roger Ashton-Griffiths and Homeland's Pedro Pascal are some of the names joining the cast.
Â
At the premiere Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the series, said the show's pilot was rejected by HBO and was reshot before being put into production.
Â
However, Game Of Thrones has gone on to win numerous awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for outstanding drama series in all three seasons.
Â
It was also named the most pirated TV show ever in 2013, according to TorrentFreak, with nearly six million people using file-sharing sites to download last season's finale.
Â
Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth, said he knew the show would be a success.
Â
He said: "I read it [the script] and went, 'Jesus this is really cool'. I have no interest, genuinely, in fantasy and dragons and all that sort of stuff.
Â
"I had no doubt it was going to be really good and people were going to be all over it."
Â
Game of Thrones author George RR Martin hinted last week that the TV adaptation of his novels may end with a feature film.
"It all depends on how long the main series runs.
Â
"Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10?
Â
"The books get bigger and bigger. It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100m (

It was a different era. A flabby guy wouldn't have looked out of place in 80s wrestling at all

Just watched Bigger, Stronger, Faster on Netflix. Fantastic documentary about Steroid use in America that stands out for having no agenda, just asking everyone their opinions and lets everyone make their own opinions.
Â
It was made by the brother of former WWF jobber Mike Bell, really surprised that WWE actually let them use footage ( although it doesn't comment on anyone apart from Hulk using 'roids).
Â
Some great archive interviews along with newer stuff from people like Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis. Well worth a watch.
Â
Watched that myself a week or so back after missing it when it was released. Found it to be really balanced and not just a Mr Mackey style 'steroid are bad, m'kay' piece. i noticed there was a specific documentry about Ben Johnson called 9.79 on there too, might check that out sometime soon.
Caught an interesting watch called June 17, 1994. It was part of ESPN's '30 for 30' series and it doesn't feature any talking heads or anything, its just archive news footage form the day, which was pretty monumental as it had:
- New York Rangers' Stanley Cup victory parade
- Arnold Palmer's last US Open appearance
- Game 5 of the NBA Play Offs between the Houston Rockets and the New York Knicks
- The opening game of the 1994 World Cup between Germany and Bolivia
Â
oh yeah....and it was the day that OJ Simpson went on the run in his white Ford Broncho. From there it all gets a little chilling as the news teams scramble to keep up with that whilst also keeping with the NBA coverage. Bob Costas seems more concerned about whether or not hes going to be in a two-shot on screen or if its just going to be him, and then we hear the phonecall from the police talking OJ out of shooting himself in the back seat of the car.
Â
Its not overly long, just a shade over 50 minutes, and was a very interesting watch
