  1. Bryan is probably the best example. He started out the year as a loathed preachy vegan (with implied wife beater gimmick), now he's doing Make-a-wish stuff. WWE have done well by Bryan, once they realised what they had.

I do sometimes wonder though, how much of Bryan's success in the last year is down to WWE or Bryan himself and his talent/efforts?

  2. After far too many drinks on Friday I agreed to watch or read Harry Potter and give it a chance. I'd managed to successfully avoid the whole franchise for years. Watched Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone last night and it was actually not as bad as I thought it'd be. It still had that CBBC drama thing about it but with more money thrown at it. Not sure whether to watch the rest. Any thoughts?

I didn't much enjoy the first couple, but from around 4/5 onwards I've really enjoyed the Harry Potter films.
Cheers to those who replied, doesn't sound as bad as I'd have thought, especially if the sequels get better with each one!

  7. Punk doesn't want change. Punk wants to be on top. He'd happily see his friends off to the job centre if he was the prime focus of everything and the company was built around him. That became clear when he stayed last summer.

How do you work that out? Not trying to start a petty argument that never ends or any of that crap but I am genuinely intrigued as to what you mean.

At the start of his career perhaps, now I think he just wants decent wrestling you can be proud to watch/be part of.

  8. CM Punk seems like a hard guys respect to get. I think it's hard to impress him as a wrestler from what I could tell.

In an interview i saw, they asked him which WWE talent deserves a push the most, his answer: Dean Ambrose

I've never seen Ambrose wrestle but just off of his little shield interview I could tell he was awesome.

He certainly has something and I only saw that interview as well. Punk has always wanted change and I can understand him pushing this guy. He showed more intrigue and charisma in that interview than I've seen in a lot more of the current roster in years.

  9. Nephew wanted to see the Three Stooges and it wasn't as painful as I expected. If it wasn't for Larry David as a bad tempered sister and Sofia Vergaras who is always a dab hand at comedy it would have been tougher to get through. It wasn't as predictable as most of those slapstick comedy films normally turn out to be.

  10. I'll give it my best shot! Breaking Dawn twist

SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

Sorry I don't know the characters that well but here goes. Before a battle scene with Michael Sheen's Vulturi, the psychic of the Cullen family Alice pleads their innocence with Aro (Sheen) at the battle lines mentally showing him a premonition that the audience doesn't see. She moves away and says that he will fight regardless and a battle ensues with many favourite characters losing their heads with the biggest shocks being Carlisle's, Irina's, a couple of wolves and Jasper's (?) deaths. The few remaining Cullens and wolves look to have the battle won as Sheen's character dies but it then jumps back to Alice and Sheen and the whole battle was the premonition. Seeing as Sheen knows he stands no chance he leaves them be. So they all live happily ever after but five minutes ago the Twihards were in bits.

  11. I was dragged along to watch Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt2 with the masses on Friday night. Its probably the best film of the bunch with a little more humour and Michael Sheen (who steals the show). It is worth the watch to see the emotional rollercoaster that the audience of die hard fans go on, with one of the best twists in a film I've seen in a while. Funny as fu

  12. I'm going to see Jack Dee on the 17th with the girlfriend, my sister and her fella.

It's the first tour he's done since 2005 so I hope it's good. No doubt my sister's boyfriend will be doing his best to be more miserable than Dee though. And he's not getting paid for it.

I went to his show on Sunday and he's not as miserable as you might expect! It was really good and it feels more like he's just chatting to you as a mate rather than being a stand up. Good show.

  13. ("I want it known how much I hate this cunt. I fucking despise him. Back when Manchester bid for the Olympics, this shitbag did everything in his power to make it clear that we should never be hosting the Olympics for oh so many reasons - we're not big enough, we're too northern, we're too busy down't pit to host it, presumably. Alright, maybe we don't have enough size and infrastructure to host the Olympics. Fair enough. Even me, as the most blinkered Manchester lover you will find, will happily admit that. But you then ask that the whole of Britain gets behind London when they host the Games because it's 'OUR' Games. FUCK YOU. I loved the Olympics and London did a great job and I actually really like London and I've spent many great and beautiful days out there with my wife and kids both separately and together. I'm really pleased it went so well. But don't you fucking DARE come out with this bullshit that the whole country should join arms and support the bid and the subsequent Games when you yourself did not lift one finger to endorse the bids that Manchester put in, nor the bid that Manchester put in for the Commonwealth Games, which was an unmitigated success, may I add. Quite the opposite. You publicly damned our bids. You're a lying, disingenuous cunt. And a Tory one at that. I HATE YOU AND I'M GLAD STEVE OVETT BEAT YOU."
