  1. My 5 year old daughter asked me last week if she could watch the “terrible teeth programme”. After much questioning I wasn’t any the wiser as to what programme she was talking about.

Earlier today, the penny dropped when we were both sat in front of the TV and an advert for tomorrow’s Jeremy Kyle came on.

“The terrible teeth programme” is a better description for Jeremy Kyle than I could ever have come up with. And I’m now disappointed in myself for not guessing it at the time.

For anyone interested in the answer to the original question. No, she cannot watch the terrible teeth programme!

You thought is was a wheelbarrel? Why?!

I’m not sure. I think it was probably the thought of a half barrel on a wheel with handles for the original concept.

I attempted some home made not bread tonight to go with a tagine. Never tried it before but basically I have to cut out wheat. It’s basically ground almond, coconut flour and tapioca flour.

Ended up a bit like Peshwari. Unfortunately the middle was a little bit gloopy, and I fried it for as long as it could handle before it burned. Avoiding the likes of proper flour and obvious starchy stuff, can anyone recommend an ingredient to help with this at all?

Sweet potato and/or dried corguette means you can use less flour.

Turns out Trench Foot is still an actual thing.

    Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but is that not when the flesh on the foot starts decomposing?

How the hell have you managed to contract that???

If the Jannetty/Martel match had gone ahead as originally advertised, the Model would have faced the Rockers in singles at successive SummerSlams.

    I need new hobbies.

    That's a pretty tenuous link.

My neighbors had a falling out today. She smashed a bottle over his head. He threw a microwave, but his aim was off and it landed on my car.

It's fair to say I'm not best pleased about the situation.

Did he go in the house, get the microwave and then go out into the street to throw it at her or has he thrown it through the window and on to your car like some Russian shot put Olympian?

Hi. Wondering if anybody could help.

I'm going to Las Vegas this week. What would people recommend to wear at night? I was told it's quite chilly. Chilly enough to pull off my token Jumper look or is it real warm?

When do you go? I'll be there from Thursday. Whoever told you it will be quite chilly at night either went at a different time of year or is lying. Temperature will still be high 20s, low 30s at midnight.

  8. Rewatching Flair v Michaels WM24. Didn't appreciate it at the time but Flair got himself in great shape for that match. I seemed to remember him as a flabby old git by that point. Am I getting confused with his later TNA run?

  9. Speaking of fried chicken take away delight, is there a reason why Chic-Fil-A have never tried to open any places in the UK? Every time I'm in Georgia I end up gorging on the stuff. Can't get enough. It's like they put cocaine in the special sauce. I get really funny looks when I'm rubbing it on my gums.

  10. Has anyone ever holidayed in Scotland? I'm trying to talk the Mrs into heading to west coast or highlands and any recommendations would be appreciated. Willing to spend a decent amount of coin as it would be our main holiday. I just can't be arsed getting on another plane. So far my diary for 2017 looks like:

    Feb - Boston (work)

    March - Tokyo (work)

    May - China (work)

    June - Las Vegas (Stag)

    July - Bangkok (work)

    November - Atlanta (visit family)

The Mrs wants to go to Portugal for a week in Aug/Sep but I can see myself having an anxiety attack/killing someone if I'm shoehorned on to another plane.

  11. Your 2 options are:

Tell her, she'll finish with you initially due to the shock then slowly let you back in over the next few weeks as you cry and beg for another chance. While she'll maybe forgive you, she'll probably never forget and will bring it up sporadically as a stick to beat you with. Your wedding day will seem to have lost some of the magic as she's slightly more distant than you expected, probably as your kiss will be at the back of her mind. She'll get short tempered whenever you suggest you are going on a night out or for drinks, especially if it's through work. Over time you'll begin to worry that she might do the same to you and in turn, you won't like her going out. This will continue to eat at your relationship with neither of you truly trusting each other. Hopefully it never goes further than verbal arguments between the two of you. One day you'll find that all the arguments have pushed her into the arms of Mark at the office, who listens to her and gives her a shoulder to cry on. She'll eventually sleep with Mark and have a short 6 month affair with him until he finds someone else. The guilt will overcome her and she'll confess to you and hold up your kiss as an excuse. You'll never be able to forgive her and the two of you will slowly sail apart. Ending in divorce. She's female so will then find someone else a lot easier than you will which will mean you have to "settle" for someone that you don't truly love for your second marriage in 12 years time.

Alternatively, you could keep quiet and none of the above will happen.

  12. Watched the first 30 mins. It's like he's parodying himself on David Brent at times.

When Rogan asks him what his first thoughts were when he found out he'd hit a pregnant woman, he's clearly setting it up so Jones can look for redemption. Instead Jones says his first thought is if the baby dies then he's in serious trouble both criminally and financially.

Other little snippets like saying "my mansion" instead of my house. Or saying he doesn't have the time to raise another daughter. Or saying he can afford to have another thousand kids. Or telling the story of the bin man telling him he wants to see him fight again and to get his act together. I thought it was going to be a humbling anecdote but Jones then finiahes the story by asking what right the guy has to judge him and tell him what to do.

First ever interview of Jon Jones I've ever listened to. Is he always like this?

If I'm applying for a job and I've found a contact name but I'm not sure that's the exact person who will be reviewing the application, should I just direct it to him/her, or is it worth starting with something like "Dear Mr. Smith or to whom it may concern"?

Phone them up and ask if you should address the application to them. That way you've already spoken to them and your application will carry a fraction more weight.

If the application form/website doesn't specify but does have a contact number then calling them and asking is sensible.

I'm not sure it will carry any extra weight, whoever answers the phone probably wont even ask your name, but it will at least make sure it goes to the right person when it's submitted.

I meant phone up and ask to speak to the contact name. Speak directly to them, not the receptionist.
