  1. Right, as I tend to do lately, I have a vague moment in my head and it's annoying me trying to reember more about it. On Raw, about 2003/4 I'd say, someone had handcuffed HBK to the ropes and were taunting him with the keys. HBK him em with SCM and used the keys to release himself, then jumped into the ring to batter someone.I think it was when he was feuding with Jericho/Christian, but not 100% sure. Does anyone know the storyline/angle?EDIT: Nevermind, I've found out what I was thinking of.

  2. Which wrestler am I thinking of? He appeared on Heat regularly for a few months, about 3 or 4 years back I think. The best I can describe his gimmick is as a cross between Johnny Nitro and a kind of gangster character. He stuck out to me because he used to cut promos before matches, and he looked quite charismatic so I always expected him to move up to Raw one day, but then he just disappeared.

  3. On the subject of Batman villians, I agree with Seven in that Casey Affleck could play a great Joker. I'd actually prefer to see him as The Riddler though (if The Riddler is ever in the franchise). Ben Foster would also be an interesting choice for Riddler, he proved he could play crazy in Alpha Dog and 3:10 To Yuma.

  4. watched a few yesterday...Super Size Me - finally got to see it all, it's a very entertaining doc. and it does give some pretty horrific facts about the fast food industry, but it pretty much gives the conclusion of 'fast food is ok, as long as its eaten in moderation', which is common sense at the end of the day. Still it's entertaining. Gotta love Spurlock's dedication.

You should check out Super High Me. Similar premise, but replace eating fast food with smoking weed. The guy goes an entire month without it, doing various activities, then does the same activities whilst high to see the effect it has on you.
  5. Spot on. What a fucking hateful movie.
    I agree partly with 'JackKane'

Haha my sentiments for the movie are the same. Good film, but the jargon and the quirkiness and the indy songs were way too much. Fun article.

I agree with that script, the language was just stupid and unrealistic, though I didn't mind the music, I still enjoyed the film though. Also Into the Wild pisses over everything else not that I've seen them  (that's a ridiculous comment, even for me, but it is an excellent, shall check the others out in due time)
Into The Wild was a great film, but in my opinion it suffered due to the Emile Hirsch's character coming off as unlikeable. I didn't detest him, and I appreciate the choices that the character (and the man in real life) made, but I never connected with him, and he always came of as an irresponsible rebel.Theres still plenty of films I need to watch from 07 (TWBB, NCFOM, Sweeney Todd, Michael Clayton, Juno, believe me theres plenty more) but out of the films I have watched, The Assassination Of Jesse James is by far my favorite. The film was drawn out and slow, but it was a rare case where instead of a really good long film flying by really quickly and not exactly feeling long, Jesse James felt long but by the time it ended I still wanted more. If that makes sense.
That's one of the reasons I liked it. It wasn't majorly biased on the side of Alexander. It is based on a book based on a true story and instead of making him this great 'explorer' of his time etc, they portrayed his good and bad qualities.
Good point. I only watched it once however, and I find movies much easier to judge after two viewings, so I'll have to watch it again to have a concrete opinion on it.About Hancock, I'm not the biggest Will Smith fan, but this surprisingly sounds great. Apparently theres a scene where he has sex in a caravan, then when he ejaculates it shoots holes in the roof. Certainly appeals to the immature childish side of me anyway.

  7. From what I've read, Grid is a definitive driving game, not in that it excels above all the other driving games, but in that it walks a fine line between being a racing sim and an arcade game. So it would appeal to the majority of racing game fans.I'm not fond of driving sims, and I love the arcade-type racing games, but I might try Grid out anyway.

  8. I'm going to buy some films on Monday. Any recommendations? I would prefer something vaguely comedic or cool - I'm not into horror films. Also, any film/tv bargains you've seen in HMV or Zavvi that are kicking about at the moment?

Woolworths are having a sale on DVDs at the moment, its worth popping in if there is one near you.
  9. I taped John Carpenter's Vampires, one of my favorite vampire films alongside Lost Boys and Fright Night.

anyway, I watched The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford a few days ago. Best film of 2007 out of the one's I've seen so far (which, granted, isnt much). Casey Affleck was in a league of his own. 10/10

Also watched Romper Stomper starring Rusell Crowe. Really brutal, gritty film about a gang of skinheads in Melbourne. 7/10.

  10. I hate Crash. It just repeatedly bashes you over the head with 'racial commentary', and the dialogue is really poor.I love movies with an underlying theme or message, but christ, try to tell it in a subtle, realistic way. It wasn't even an underlying theme in Crash, every single thing in the film pointed to it.
