SOUTHSIDE WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT present BATTLE OF THE EGOS 2 3RD MARCH 2012 - DOORS 6.30 - SHOW 7.15 SOUTHSIDE TITLE MATCH T-BONE © v ROCKSTAR SPUD ![]() After a very public feud with Southside owner the Rockstar Spud was fired but somehow managed to sneak in the back door at the Anniversary show to beat Keith Myatt to become no 1 contender. He will face T-Bone who won the belt at the same show and has since succesfully defended against Dave Mastiff at Seasons Beatings PRO WRESTLING EVE GUEST MATCH NIKKI STORM v ERIN ANGEL ![]() Once again Europe's top women's promotion are back at Southside and this time they have delivered an amazing match . Making her Southside debut is Erin Angel and her opponent will be Nikki Storm. Nikki has a certain way of winding up crowds but as soon as she shuts up her wrestling does the talking. She successfully beat Holly Rocamora at Seasons Beatings SPEED KING PREVIEW MATCH KRIS TRAVIS v MARK HASKINS ![]() TNA star Mark Haskins makes his Southside debut in March. This really could be a battle of the egos as the 'Star attraction' faces the Ego himself Kris Travis for the first time ever one on one. Kris Travis has chalked up many great victories in Southside against the likes of Kirby , El Ligero and Mart Scurll. Can he beat Mark Haskins ? Will either of them be on Speed king , why is not a qualifiyer ? TAG TEAM ACTION THE PREDATORS v LJ HERON & ROBBIE X ![]() Robbie X will be hoping it will be third time lucky as he chooses a new partner to try to beat the Predators. This time he has chosen this months Fighting Spirit magazine's 'one to watch' LJ Heron. will the two young stars have enough to take out the deadly Predators or will Malen & Conners once again cause carnage ? MASKED ACTION EGO DRAGON v BENGAL TIGER ![]() We wanted to finally pit El Ligero v Ego Dragon but after moving the date we lost El Ligero so we went and found the best masked wrestler we could find. We went to the home of Lucha - Luch Britania and hand picked Bengal Tiger to be the man to stop Ego Dragons winning streak. Get ready for an amazing high flying contest MAD MAN MANSON v PRINCE AMEEN Both men have been known to issue challanges but this time Southside made the match up , please don't expect wrestling of the highest quality in this match as we are sure that Manson will be cocentrating on making Ameen look silly. FATAL 4 WAY MARTIN KIRBY v LEON SHAH v UK KID v RJ SINGH Once again we are doing our best to introduce you to the very best in British talent , on this show alone we are having 5 debuts alone and 3 of them are in this match with Southside Favourite Martin Kirby. Uk Kid and Leon Shah are 2 of the very best talents from Varsity Pro Wrestling and RJ Singh has featured for many great promotions like IPW , FWA and NGW TICKETS Front Row - 15 pounds Second Row - 12 pounds General Seating - 10 pounds Family ticket (4) - 30 pounds available at www.southsidewrestling.co.uk -------------------- FEB 9TH - OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS feat COLT CABANA APRIL 27TH - RAW DEAL 2 feat TED DIBIASE & TOMMY DREAMER APRIL 28TH - RISKY BUSINESS 2 feat JOHNNY GARGANO & KEVIN STEEN MAY 25TH - SPEED KING 2 feat JAY LETHAL , ZEMA ION , JIGSAW & SAMURAY DEL SOL JUNE 30TH - NOTORIOUS 3 feat JIMMY JACOBS , STEVE CORINO & SUMERIAN DEATH SQUAD NOV 17TH - SUPERSHOW !!!!! Got some live results and notes coming in from this one, courtesy of Gadgetboi:
- Gadge is impressed with the set-up and the "pretty much sold out" crowd of 200ish. - The Predators beat Robbie X & LJ Heron in 11:02 with 'Ants Go Marching' on Heron. "Good match with some legal man issues at the end". Oh, gadge... - Predators have announced a House of Pain invasion of Southside, and Robbie X has announced Greg Burridge as his tag partner for the 01/04/2012 show in Huntingdon. - Ego Dragon beat Bengal Tiger with a kick to the head at 6:55. Boooooo. "That Ego Dragon is a disgrace" says Gadge. You tell 'im. - Nikki Storm beat Erin Angel by half-crab submission in 12:51. "Not a total mess like the last Southside womens' match I saw, but way too long" - Kris Travis pinned Mark Haskins in 13:06 by grabbing the tights. Gadge remarks that this was the "best match so far", but also notes that heels have won all 4 matches straight so far. Interval now. - Martin Kirby beat RJ Singh in 8:55 of a 4-way which also featured UK Kid and Leon Shah. "Finally one for the good guys", he says. - Mad Man Manson beat Price Mohmed Ameen in 9:31 of what Gadgetchap reports as the usual silliness, but good fun. He's apparently "really enjoying the show". That's good, I guess. - Rockstar Spud challenging T-Bone for the Southside Championship goes 11:56 and is described as a "good, sports entertainment-heavy main event". Spud brought The Predators to ringside for support, but T-Bone beat him with a choke-spinebuster to retain the title. Show's done. From what Gadge describes, it sounds to me to be simple, effective and fun. Show was indeed good, I certainly preferred this to the two shows I've seen at Gym Combat in Nottingham.
I'm obviously not going to the Huntingdon show on April 1st, but will certainly consider the St Neots return on May 27.. -------------------- |

I enjoyed the show, although it wasn't as good as the one in huntington where burridge won the title (that was the best live wrestling I've seen outside of NOAH/Dragon Gate), but still a laugh.
Just one thing that puzzles me..... Angel teased the moonsault a couple of times, leading me to believe that to be her finisher. She finally hits it (well, botches it, but did land boob first on storm, so that kinda counts) but hurts her knee and loses. How can someone hitting their own finisher cost them the match? Also, was the four way announced as single fall at all? I didn't hear a clarification either way, but my friends and I were expecting elimination, so were surprised when it ended so abruptly. Also, Spud was robbed |

Makes sense to me. If you think about it, whacking your knees against the mat from that height and at that speed IS gonna hurt [trust me, I trained with Stevie Knight for 6 months in 2005 and smacked my right knee on the canvas doing a cross bodyblock - hurt like fuck and I still have trouble with it to this day] so why couldn't that happen? RVD always made sure he sold the 5-Star Frog Splash as hurting him as well as his opponent. Benoit delivered a back suplex off the top to 2 Cold Scorpio at SuperBrawl 3 and sold it like he'd hurt himself too. It does make sense - certainly more sense than the person delivering the move not being hurt at all - and should be thought about more often in my opinion. That is a ridiculous statement. I understand this is most likely a disgruntled former worker of Dann's, but absolutely anyone who knows anything about the wrestling business would know that there are certainly MANY other more effective ways to get your rocks off than create a company, buy a customised title, book girls from all over Europe, spend a shit load of time and effort on PR, blah blah. -------------------- The number one training school in Scotland - Source Wrestling School.
