The number one contender to the PAID Promotions Championship 'The Heavyweight House of Pain' Stixx has released this statement today:

"To all PAID Promotions and Morecambe wrestling fans.

It gives me great heart ache to have to announce my absence today in my title vs streak match vs Johnny Phere.

This past Thursday, after a long and painful 48 hour labour, my fiancee Laura gave birth to our first child. After all the pain she suffered, they still had to give her a C-section which makes her mobility limited for the next month.

As much as i would love to, and was looking forward to being in Morecambe today to entertain you fans and defeating Johnny Phere, I have to think about the well being of my family and make sure they're ok. At this time, that is my number 1 priority.

Once again, huge apologies to those who were looking forward to seeing me and looking forward to the match. You're in my thoughts, just like i hope i'm in yours.

I will be back."

We at PAID Promotions would like to wish Stixx and his family all the best.

We will do our best to make sure there is still a fantastic main event this evening.

We once again apologise for anyone disappointed.

Rockstar Spud is still on the show as well as other top quality matches.

This will still be a night not to be missed.
