PAID Promotions Wrestling- Golden Chance Rumble Full report

The show opened with the master of ceremonies Stallion, who announced that the "Heavyweight House Of Pain" Stixx could not make the show due to becoming a father. Stallion was then interrupted by #PhereTheTruth (PAID Promotions Champion Johnny Phere and his manager Greg 'The Truth' Lambert) who were furious with Stixx backing out of their scheduled chains match, but then declared Johnny Phere didn't have to defend the title tonight and was therefore still PAID Promotions champion, as there was no one left to beat.

This brought out Joey Hayes to the ring who apologised to the fans for what he did last time he was in Morecambe 18 months earlier, when he laid Phere out with a JKO and cost Team XWA their inter-promotional match with GPW. Joey then challenged Phere to a title match, since Phere had never beaten him. Phere eventually agreed, but only if Joey could beat Craig Kollins in their scheduled match right away.

Joey Hayes pinned Craig Kollins to earn a PAID Promotions Title shot

Joey Hayes beat Craig Kollins with the JKO after a solid back and forth match. Afterwards Greg 'The Truth' Lambert came out through the entrance belittling Joey, then from behind Phere appeared and Ram Slammed Joey in the ring. Phere then went to brand Joey with black marker pen but gave the honour to Greg Lambert himself, who happily wrote LIAR on Joey's back. Phere then took a mic and told Joey that the main event will still be a chains match, as that is what was originally scheduled between Phere and Stixx.

Cyanide defeated Zak Northern, Ricky J McKenzie and Barricade in a four-way elimination match to become the number one contender for after the show

Barricade was eliminated first by RJM, then Zak Northern was eliminated by Cyanide, then Cyanide defeated RJM, earning himself a title shot in April.

Rockstar Spud returns

Next saw the return of TNA superstar "Rockstar" Spud who came to the ring and explained that he never got to say goodbye to the Morecambe fans. He was then interrupted by Ryan Grayson and Serenity. Grayson mocked Spud and wanted an apology for Spud's remarks regarding a comment that was said on TNA Impact, when Spud berated Grayson's homeland of Scotland.

Ryan Grayson pinned Rockstar Spud

Eventually an unscheduled match was made and Spud spent five minutes beating Ryan up until his manager Serenity got involved allowing Grayson to roll Spud up and get a HUGE win over the TNA Superstar.

Bubblegum pinned Max Angelus after a top rope shooting star press

Craig Kollins wins The Golden Chance Rumble

At the start of the second half Stallion showed the audience The Golden Chance Trophy, which can be traded in at ANY point within six months.

First out was "Mr Big" Shaun Vasey, then Barricade at number two. The two big men traded heavy blows with no man being able to over-power the other. The third entrant was Jon Aggro and the fourth saw the return of the arrogant Jackson Clarke. The four men were struggling to get an elimination of one another, until entrant five came to the ring...The offical number one contender Cyanide.

The 400lb monster dominated the four others and amazingly eliminated all four of them within one minute! This left the huge man alone in the ring. Entrant number six was Zak Northern who put up a great fight but was again eliminated by Cyanide. Again he was alone in the ring.

Entrant seven was Bubblegum who attacked Cyanide aggressively but the big man was too powerful and quickly over-powered a man three times smaller than him, but he could not eliminate Bubblegum. Next was RJM who came close to beating Cyanide in the four way earlier. Both RJM and Bubblegum teamed up and somehow managed to eliminate the dominant 'Manchester Monster'

Number nine was the "Loner" Rossion, who went straight under the ring then appeared on the other side. Instead of getting into the ring, Rossion stayed on the outside talking to himself and walking around in circles. This left RJM and Bubblegum no choice but to go head to head. Entrant ten was Ryan Grayson who persuaded Rossion to team up and they both attacked RJM and Bubblegum. Entrant 11 was Dangerous Damon Leigh, making it five wrestlers now in the ring. At one point the "Loner" Rossion randomly started twerking in the middle of the ring before Grayson booted him in the face!

Number 12 was the "One Man Riot" Craig Kollins who came close to beating Joey Hayes in the opening match.

With six wrestlers now in the ring the tension was rising, then as RJM was about to eliminate Ryan Grayson, entrant 13's music played....Ryan Grayson's? This distracted RJM as Serenity slid into the ring from behind and quickly tipped RJM over the top rope, eliminating him, much to the shock of the audience.

Grayson then spent time protecting Serenity as best he could as the wrestlers tried to eliminate one another.

The countdown for Entrant 14 began but no one came out, so the attention was swiftly back on the in ring action, until suddenly the man who is suspended from PAID Promotions wrestling came out...The Creeper! It was clear that The Creeper had taken someone's place in the rumble. The monster of PAID Promotions came to the ring and once inside all hell broke loose. The Creeper first eliminated Rossion, then Creeper bombed Bubblegum, then eliminated Ryan Grayson, then Creeper bombed DDL and Craig Kollins! This left the 5 foot 4 inch, 8 stone Serenity standing in the ring with the near seven foot tall, 300lb monster! Not knowing what to do, Serenity attempted to flirt with the Creeper, but to no avail. The Creeper then went to Creeper bomb the only female of PAID Promotions who screamed and ran up the corner and eliminated herself, as the Creeper came after her, also eliminating himself.

This left just Craig Kollins, DDL and Bubblegum in the ring down. Then the final entrant came out, Max Angelus. With a strong upper hand. Unfortunately for Max, Bubblegum had his number on the night and after Kollins eliminated DDL, Bubblegum eliminated Max Angelus.

It was now down to Bubblegum and Craig Kollins. Both men gave it their all, but Kollins proved to much and won the Rumble, becoming the first Golden Chance Trophy holder.

Joey Hayes pins Johnny Phere in a Chains Match to win the PAID Promotions Title

Joey started off aggressively but let his attention slip onto Greg Lambert who branded him earlier, which then allowed Phere to get the upper hand. From that point on Johnny Phere completely dominated Joey throughout the match, using aggressive slams, submissions and chains, but everything Phere did was not enough to put Joey away.

After Joey kicked out of a nasty spear, Phere went to Ram Slam him, but Joey reversed it into a JKO, but somehow Phere kicked out! Joey then went up top but was cut off when Phere dived desperately at the ropes, making Joey low blow himself on the corner. Phere then hit Joey with a huge superplex. Both men then tried to slug it out with blows but Joey used his speed to overcome Phere then ran off the ropes, but was caught suddenly in a perfect Ram Slam. 1..2...Joey kicked out!

Phere could not believe it and then left the ring and pulled out a huge steel chain. Phere then mocked Stixx and went to hit a Stixx bomb on Joey, on the chain! But Joey fought out and went to hit another JKO, but Phere pushed him away right into the ref, who fell outside the ring. Phere quickly grabbed a small chain and wrapped it around his fist, then he went to punch Joey in the face but he ducked and hit Phere with a second JKO and covered him for over a three count. But the ref was outside the ring.

Suddenly Ryan Grayson ran to the ring but was prevented from interfering by RJM who brawled to the back with Ryan. Joey then put his attention back on Phere but he was suddenly struck with a low blow, then Phere hit a devastating Piledriver and covered Joey as the ref slowly got back into the ring...1...2.........Joey kicked out!

Phere went into shock as the crowd erupted with disbelief!

The "Psychotic warrior" then went into a rage and hit the referee. He then took a microphone and told Joey if he wont stay down now, then he will put him down for good. With that, Phere set Joey up for another Piledriver, but this time on the steel chain. Just as he was about to finish Joey Hayes off and possible end his career, Phere's own brother, Triston quickly got into the ring and kicked Phere in the face, as Phere turned back around Joey hit a desperation JKO on the chain knocking Phere out cold as Triston woke the ref. Then with everyone in the building glued to the in ring action, the referee, Charles Nelson Riley ushered in a new era in PAID Promotions, by counting Phere's shoulders to the mat for the three count, to a deafening reaction from those in attendance.

The new PAID Promotions wrestling champion - Joey Hayes!!

Once Phere came around he staggered off to the back after his brother. This left Greg Lambert at ringside distraught, not realising Phere had left. As Greg went to leave he was stopped in the entrance way by Spud, RJM, DDL, Bubblegum and Mr Big Shaun Vasey. Spud had a mic and told Greg that the real reason he was back in Morecambe was to show the people who the real Liar was. With that the five men backed Greg into the ring where Joey put the motormouthed manager in a sleeper hold and rendered Greg unconscious. Spud then revealed the marker pen that The Truth had branded Joey with earlier as the other wrestlers stripped Greg topless! Joey then branded Greg a LIAR and took photos. They then carried the unscrupulous manager out of the building much to the delight of the crowd.

PAID Promotions will be back in Morecambe on Sunday April 13th and will be debuting in Blackpool on Saturday March 15th.
