PSF Posted November 10, 2012 Share Posted November 10, 2012 If I think about watching Corronation Street as a child, the only memories I have are Jack & Vera. Both were such great actors and were excellent in their roles. I was devestated when their charactors left the soap and can honestly say I've not watched regualy since. Â By all accunts Bill Tarmey seemed to be a genuine gent, and I have never read anything bad about the man. Such a shame. RIP Bill. Â Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Soaps should be built on characters like this, not just putting gay weddings and gay storylines in them for the sake of it. Characters like Jack and Stellas husband from Corrie are what make soaps what they are, back street geezers scratching around battling with life, who just enjoy a pint and bet here and there.
