EPIC TAG TEAM COLLISION SIGNED FOR PPW'S CHRISTMAS SPECIAL !!  Having once again fallen short of his goal of becoming PPW Champion, a frustrated Paul Malen and, fellow "Predator", Joseph Conners challenged the PPW Champion El Ligero to find himself a tag team partner to meet them in the ring at the PPW Christmas Special... and "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm was only too quick to oblige... ...El Ligero and the "Wonderkid" have clashed in two WORLD CLASS matches in 2011 over the PPW Chamionship, but their sensational rivalry has been overshadowed all year by the controversial actions of "The Prodigy" Paul Malen and his quest to steal the PPW Crown from "The Mexican Sensation", even resulting in Storm being fired from PPW in a Loser Leaves PPW Lumberjack Match...  ...Now, as we head into the final show of 2011 - "Good Hidings We Bring..." - , Ligero and Storm finally have their chance to get revenge on "The Predators". British Born Steele has been involved consistently in main event calibre matches since debuting in PPW in the Walters vs South 6-Man Main Event and then playing a predominent role in the Gunpowder Plot match last month, and Bubblegum is making his long awaited PPW return, since debuting in the Tag Team main event back in 2009 as one half of Hubba Bubba Lucha, with PPW Champion El Ligero, vs The Leaders of the New School Marty Scurll and Zack Sabre Jr vs Lee Hunter and Jetta. Top of the Table Clash to Crown Evolution League Champion ** !!  The Evolution League has been a revelation in PPW in 2011. It has given a massive boost to the careers of some of the biggest PPW fan favourites, such as Nate Colt, Davey Blaze, Jamie Feerick and Matt Pedin. It was a great opportunity for Justin Thorne, but it sadly wasn't to be, and it even gave a platform for "Hellraiser" Brian Wright to raise some of his own particular brand of hell!... ...BUT the two competitors who have risen to the top of the league and put themselves within touching distance of that much sought after PPW Championship match are Scotland's Steven Xavier and "The Luscious One" from the catwalks of Milan, Lucas Black. Both men will put everything on the line and do everything it takes and they try to get their hands on that coveted prize!!  **Unfortunately Steven Xavier has had to withdraw from this match due to injury, following an assault by Lucas Black at the last show in November... Despite pleas from Lucas Black to crown him the Evolution League Champion by default, PPW Management have taken the decision to postpone this match until the New Year (date TBC) so the true winner can be crowned Evolution League Champion and Number 1 Contender to the PPW Championship... PPW Management have also promised to find a more than capable opponent for "The Luscious One" on December 9th in West Bromwich, so he will not be gifted the night off!! Pedin returned to PPW at last months Guy Fawkes Special and duly placed the Hellraiser in a Body Bag!! At first glance this match seems to play right into the hands of Brian Wright, but Pedin is a man obsessed and will be tunnel-visioned on his quest for revenge - this match could steal a show that is already set to be a cracker!!  !! ChrisPPW Posted November 24, 2011 Author Share Posted November 24, 2011 http://www.phoenixprowrestling.co.uk/competition  ^^ Competition to win a signed copy of the Best of 2011 DVD  I will start a seperate thread at somepoint for this DVD, but for now...  The first match to feature on "The Best of PPW 2011" will be the rematch of the year, taken from our June Event:  PPW Championship Match "The Mexican Sensation" EL LIGERO vs "Wonderkid" JONNY STORM  Those of you that have attended PPW events in 2011 will remember that I spent a good chunk of the year either limping around or simply unable to walk at all, because I broke my foot in a serious accident in May. When it came to the June show, I was literally unable to move from my chair, so it was with great pleasure that I was able to just sit back and take in one of the finest technical wrestling matches I have ever seen!  Having already had one great match in May to crown the 1st Ever PPW Champion, the 2 guys in the ring were keen to make match this match EVEN BETTER... And that they certainly did!! This match was half an hour of back and forth excellence, with Ligero and Storm competing in a battle of oneupmanship that saw Storm at one point literally stop wrestling and ask the crowd what the hell he had to do to get one over on Ligero!  It's rare in wrestling these days, but at about the 20/25 minute mark I was genuinely sat there thinking that this match could have carried on for the full 60 minute time limit and the crowd would have continued to just eat it up! It was the most electric the PPW Crowd had ever been (at that point!) and the noise from the constant "Lets Go Ligero" / "Lets go Jonny" chants was amazing in such a small hall.  And of course, the finish to this match set PPW rolling for the year...  Hope you all enjoy  Thanks  Chris PPW Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And we promise to go out with a bang!  Just signed an amazing talent to replace the absent Steven Xavier, but I'll save that for showtime - can't give everything away  I've also been approached by all sorts of people about Lord Graham Thomas' kiss my foot challenge! But I think I know just the person for the job ;-)  My only concern is that it won't be me running things on Friday night at the West Bromwich Labour Club, it will be Special Edition Joseph Conners!
