With the DPW crew geared up and raring to go for this Saturday's big return to the Castleford Civic Centre, and with a huge title match and 2 big debuts already announced, we can now announce the final 2 bouts for the event, including a few returns!

The first return is from a man who was actually last seen in a DPW ring in Castleford itself, when back in January, he was eliminated in the Quarter-Finals of the DPW Tag Team Championship Tournament. That man, is the arrogant and wealthy Prince Mohmed Ameen! Ameen bought his way into the Tag Tournament, paying off The Myatt Legacy, and chose Zack Diamond Gibson as his partner. However, the pair suffered an exciting loss to finalists El Ligero and Bingo Ballance, and Ameen hasn't been seen since. However, this coming Saturday, Prince Ameen returns to DPW for singles action, against a man who has really impressed since his debut back at 3 Years Old, Matt Myers!

Myers opened the anniversary show with a great performance in the Fatal 4-Way, and then despite a loss, impressed once again against Dylan Roberts last month. Ameen will be the biggest test that the fiery young man has faced since his debut, and he'll be looking to upend the wealthy Prince to get on the DPW winners map!

The final match of the evening to be announced features 2 very recognisable young men, who nobody could ever accuse of being shrinking violets or forgettable! This coming Saturday will see Danny Hope clash with Dara Diablo, in yet another first time encounter!

It's been quite a while since Danny Hope entertained the DPW faithful, having last been seen back at August Anarchy 2010, when he competed in a Fatal 4-Way against Joey Hayes, Bingo Ballance and Sam Bailey. Hope also featured in the DPW Championship Tournament back in 2009, and opened up 2 Years Old in an electric 8-Man Tag Match. Hope has always been popular in DPW whenever he's appeared, and he aims to re-establish himself as a roster member in 2011.

Dara Diablo has never really been popular in DPW. Despite a smattering of applause for his efforts against Colossus Kennedy in September 2010, 'The Motor-Mouthed Mexican' has proven to have nothing more than a rotten attitude, and self-imposed delusions of grandeur. Despite an overwhelming amount of charisma, Diablo has failed to endear himself to DPW's crowd, and will no doubt fail to endear himself to Danny Hope on Saturday!

The current card is as follows:

DPW British Championship Match

Colossus Kennedy © w/Richie West vs. 'Wonderkid' Jonny Storm

CJ Banks vs. Mikey Whiplash

Cameron Kraze vs. Jack Gallagher

Prince Mohmed Ameen vs. Matt Myers

Toga, is that address correct? That's somewhere in Pontefract and a look on Google Maps doesn't seem familiar from the last Castleford show. You might want to change the bit about car parks around Ossett too. There may be, but they won't be that useful for attending the show! ;)

I'll almost certainly be at this show. I missed the show last weekend and then it turns out I could have made it since the gig was cancelled (but didn't fancy making the trip on my own), and it sounds like it was a brilliant show. Looking forward to it!

Best of luck for the show. As noted in the discussion for the one last weekend I'll be away at Hull Uni's Graduation Ball instead.

Just hold off Kennedy/Haynes and book Storm/Ligero II for the one after this ;)

18/05

After a number of well-recieved events throughout 2011, Dynamic Pro Wrestling are fast approaching our 5th spectacular of the year, as on June 4th, we return to the gorgeous Castleford Civic Centre for the first time since January! With that, we announce the first 2 matches for the evening!

DPW BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!

After winning the Championship gold in a hard-hitting and brutal Last Man Standing Match from Cameron Kraze in April, and destroying Robbie X and a DPW crew member in his first 2 title defences in May, the gigantic Colossus Kennedy meets his first real challenge for the gold. Colossus (if still champion) is already pencilled in to face Joey Hayes in the main event of August Anarchy 2011, but in order to get there with the strap intact, he'll have to get through one of the most well-recognised and well-travelled British wrestlers in history!

On June 4th, in a first-time-ever meeting, Colossus Kennedy will defend his Championship against 'The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm! No stranger to victories in a DPW ring, or to Championship gold, Jonny Storm has competed across the world, from TNA Wrestling, to Ring Of Honor, to Japan, to all across Europe, and is internationally recognised. Armed with nearly 15 years of experience, Jonny Storm has been in the ring with the best, and beaten them, but on June 4th, he comes up against a challenge perhaps like no other. Kennedy has been nothing short of dominant in DPW since first appearing in September 2010, and has rarely even been knocked off his feet.

Jonny Storm may be 'The Wonderkid', but Kennedy is most certainly Colossus, and with Championship gold on the line, Storm may find himself flying high, not through his own choice!

ANOTHER DYNAMIC DEBUT!

Over the past year, DPW have attempted to bring to it's audience the chance to see brand new faces in UK wrestling, whether it's young up-and-comers who they may not be familiar with, or well-established talent who finally arrived in DPW. Wrestlers such as Zack Diamond Gibson, Stixx, Dean Allmark, Lionheart and Fight Club have all found themselves appearing in Dynamic Pro Wrestling. On June 4th, DPW present the debut of another fine young talent making waves on the UK scene, in 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher.

Gallagher has most notably been seen stretching foes in NGW, GPW and FutureShock, as well as the FWA and XWA. Trained in the legendary SnakePit in Wigan, Gallagher is one of the best technical and submission wrestlers this country has seen in the last 2 decades, and he is keen to back up these claims in Castleford.

Standing across the ring from 'The Grappler' that night will be somewhat of a polar opposite, as he will face former 2 time DPW Champion Cameron Kraze. Kraze is coming off the back of a title loss, and a Number 1 Contenders loss, and will be looking to use his charisma, hometown support and unorthodox in-ring style to bounce back.

These 2 men have never wrestled each other anywhere, and this will certainly be a clash of styles! It's catch-as-catch-can vs charisma on June 4th!

The current card is as follows:

DPW Championship Match

Dynamic Pro Wrestling British Championship

Colossus Kennedy © w/Richie West vs. 'Wonderkid' Jonny Storm

Cameron Kraze vs. 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher

Tickets are available for this event via www.dpwrestling.co.uk

Kennedy/Storm has the potential to be great. Sad I'm going to miss it, as I reckon it'll be a great big man/high flyer match up. Kennedy worked smart against Robbie X and putting Storm in there should create a great dynamic.

Never seen Gallagher, but from the report I can see he's a) got a decent reputation and potentially more importantly b) a good opponent for Kraze. I can sense where this might be going, but it's early days..

DPW's next event of 2011 is just over a week away, and with that in mind, and with 2 blockbuster seminal encounters already announced, it's time to announce our 3rd contest of the evening, and one that could very well steal the show!

Last month, CJ Banks suffered his first loss in 2011, when a mid-match hip injury caused him to be pinned by 'The Mexican Sensation' El Ligero. The injury put Banks on the shelf for a number of weeks, but the man who has had a terrfic submission streak so far this year is back to full health, and returns to DPW with a vengeance. Originally, Banks asked for a rematch with Ligero to prove his superiority over the masked cruiserweight, but with El Ligero competing elsewhere that evening, DPW management have decided to bring in another stern test for Banks.

On June 4th, making his DPW debut will be one of the most respected men currently competing in the UK, a man who it's been said, can adapt to any style. That man, would be one Mikey Whiplash! Whiplash is a formidable young veteran in the UK, an incredibly talented athlete with a vast amount of experience and knowledge. Having competed all across Europe, having wrestled on the last Dragon Gate UK tour, and having been a huge part of the historic All-Star Wrestling promotion, Whiplash may indeed be Banks' toughest challenge to date!

'The Juice' will be keen to regain his winning ways, and carry on making 2011 his banner year, but can even a man as tenacious as Banks make Mikey Whiplash tap out? We'll find out on June 4th!

The current card is as follows:

DPW British Championship Match

Colossus Kennedy © w/Richie West vs. 'Wonderkid' Jonny Storm

Cameron Kraze vs. 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher

'The Juice' CJ Banks vs. Mikey Whiplash
