Ivan is in his mid 40s same as me :D and 10 years on the oil rigs has kept him pretty much in condition, he did a match v steve quintain last year it was an old school classic, he has not lost a beat to be fair.

 glad to know he's in form. Is this a full-time return?

he is doing this weekend and is hopeful of comeback this summer

Be good to see him in action if I do make this show, I didn't make a lot of shows in 2009, but one I did was at The Talk to see Jimmy Ocean, who also wrestled Fusion I believe. It's grand knowing that guys I used to watch live in the late 80s are still kicking about!

Also heard you're bringing Dave Taylor back, I haven't seen him since Croyden in '87!

Ok people now for the tag announcement. 5 teams are to compete in a special stipulation match. Two teams start then the other three teams enter at two minute intervals, teams will be elimated from the ,match if one of their team is pinned, submits or is KOed, last team standing are the winners.

The winners of the match will face the Hooligans who have been ranked as number one tag team in the WAW rankings, at the Project night club Norwich May 22nd.

Wymondham Leisure Centre - 23rd April 2011

On a night full of passion, aggression and surprises we finally discovered the identity of the paymaster.

The show opened with new music and two new faces. Out came two rather intimidating looking men that introduced themselves as Kerry Caberro and the Dominator. As the paymasters "hired guns" they wanted a fight, so Ricky offered them the Hooligans. They also said the paymaster would reveal in his own time.

Chuck Syrus vs Solomon

The wrestling action kicked off with two fairly evenly matched men. A lot of holds were exchanged back and forward, with Syrus seeming more interested in taunting the fans more than wrestling at some points. Syrus managed to counter Solomon's signature legdrop to the arm with a throw from the top rope. However, he could not capatalise and ended up taking the Pumphandle Slam for the 3 count.

Scott Fusion vs Ivan Trevors

A confident Scott Fusion asked the referee (Mr David Finch) to disqualify him instantly for any use of closed fists as a mark of his confidence. In his usual fashion however he used both his and his opponents bodies to mask the punches he threw.

Despite questions surrounding his fitness, Trevors put up a good fight and showed us the traditional British style. He seemed to be on top for a good majority and showed some athleticism in hitting a monkey flip. In attempting a second monkey flip Trevors slipped and took a bad fall on his shoulder. Unable to continue the win was granted to Scott Fusion.

A rematch challenge was issued by Trevors, but Fusion initially declined. A slap from Trevors soon changed his mind.

Tag Team Gauntlet - No1 Contenders Match

This gauntlet was to determine the team that will face The Hooligans at the next show in Norwich. Two teams started, with each new team entering at 2 minute intervals. It was under elimination rules with only one member of the team needing to be pinned or submitted for elimination.

I was very impressed by everybody in this match. A lot of athleticism was shown in a sequence in which most wrestlers pulled off a move over the top onto the other men in the match.

Entry 1 - Gorgan & Knox (w/ Tommy Lee)

Entry 2 - White & Nerdy - Milky and Stan

Entry 3 - The Young Ones - Alex Young and TJ Daniels

ELIMINATION - White and Nerdy (Stan pinned by Gorgan after spinning side slam)

Entry 4 - Metal Heads - Lynch and Wyld

Entry 5 - Special Edition - Slayer and Sabin

ELIMINATION - Young Ones (Daniels by Metal Heads)

ELIMINATION - Metal Heads (Double pin by Gorgan and Knox)

In the final moments Gorgan looked to have it won after a big boot to Sabin.. But somehow Sabin kicked out!! Slayer then hit a firemans carry gutbuster to Gorgan, which Sabin followed with a frog spash and the winning pinfall.

Marco Marinelli (w/ Tommy Lee) vs Ricky Knight

To start the second half we had a 2/3 falls, 6x5min rounds match. Both men brought a combination of brawl and technical style which made for a fairly even contest. Despite Ricky's dominance in round 1, Marco scored the first fall midway through round 2. He was unable to keep up the offence as Ricky took on both Marco and Tommy at ringside. During round 3 Tommy Lee found himself covered in the contents of a ringside bin.

Round 4 saw the levelling fall after a mis-cue by Tommy and Marco allowed Ricky to hit a backbody drop on Marco and score a pin. Round 5 started with more Ricky offence. However, after a disagreement with Mr Finch, Ricky could not control himself and shoved the referee over. This caused an instant disqualification for Ricky and gave Marco the win.

Britani Knight vs Scarlet

The "Mystery Female" was first out, and was a rather intimidating (although not overly-tall) red-haired woman. She was followed by Britani, who appealed to the fans to put aside the past and support her against this new female. Her wish was obliged as Scarlet took the mic to berate Knight on how the paymaster had hired her to take out the Knight females.

The contest was heavily in Britani's favour for a large part until Scarlet left and refused to fight. Britani's response was a baseball slide that was countered into a rather painful looking DDT to the hall floor which seemed to rock the young Knight. She recouperated and just managed to get her opponent into the ring before a 10 count.

Just as Britani looked to have victory assured Destiny emerged and dragged her off at a count of 2. As Britani argued with Destiny, Scarlet rose to her feet. As Britani turned she was met with a swinging neckbreaker, giving Scarlet the win on her debut. I was very impressed by the newcomers ability (despite her allegance with the paymaster). I can see her posing difficulties for the women of WAW.

Dominator and Kerry Caberro vs "The Hooligans" Bud and Bex

Will the Hooligans ever learn that insulting their opponents before the match is not the best of ideas, especially when these opponents are both larger than them. After the usual "one in, one out" arguement with the ref the action finally got underway. Bex took a large amount of punishment from both of the opponents, with Bud getting told numerous times to stay on the apron and not try to interfere (and recieving a public warning for not listening).

Just as both teams looked to be weakening the other the action left the ring and the room erupted as the whole locker room emptied into a mass brawl. The Midas stable and paymaster associates fighting against the WAW faithful. The announce/timekeper/bell table was thrown over (meaning Michael Mann struggled to find and ring the bell) and anarchy seemed to be the only possiblilty until Ricky Knight gathered his men inside the ring.

Tommy Lee somehow found a mic and announced what I'm sure many suspected.. He was not the paymaster. A hand reached over his shoulder and the words "No.. I am" reverbarated around the hall.

Those words were said by Big Dave of the UK Pitbulls.

He went on to explain how WAW had abandoned him after his strongman injury. No card, no sympathy, nothing. Ricky came back with how it was he that gave the Pitbulls their chances and made them champions. Dave mocked the tag gauntlet and said his team (Caberro and Dominator) were the only team worthy of a title shot. Kip Sabin said that if it meant seeing the Hooligans kick the paymasters boys back out of WAW then they would happily let them have the title shot. Ricky confirmed that the May 22nd show at Project will see Caberro and Dominator vs The Hooligans for the WAW Tag Team Titles. Bex offered to finish the match (well, the fight) there and then, but it was declined as Big Dave and Tommy Lee escorted their group backstage.

The questions may have been answered, but the war seems to have just begun...

Just to let you know Bex is as well as can be expected after collapsing in the ring at yarmouth last nite. He went into the ring against advice feeling very ill and with a very high temperature but did not want to let the fans down. He is recovering at home and will be seeing a doctor this afternoon.

Bud has apologised to fans for not finishing the match as a two on one but was very concerned for his young brother at the time but promised the hooligans will be back very soon to entertain you all.
