fye
North East Wrestling Society return to Peterlee Leisure Centre for the first time since the epic ladder match between Full Pack and Fast & Furious which saw the latter (AJ Anderson & Max Heat) claiming the NEWS Tag Team Champiosnhips following Max Heat's crazy balcony dive!  In the team's first defence of their titles they will have to face the same duo who contested the 35 minute war with them 3 months earlier as Micky Long & Iain Robinson get the first shot at the newly formed titles.  Also, the NEWS British Championship will be awarded to the winner of the year long 16 man tournament. Once Anthony McIntyre and Ross Strong square off in their Quarter Final match the winner will join semi finalists Martin Kirby, El Ligero and the aforementioned Max Heat. The semi finals and final will all be on this show so Max Heat has the decks stacked against him as he competes at least twice on the night, depending on his semi final result.  We also have two huge debuts planned as Irish talent Bingo Ballance arrives in NEWS and the international superstar Pac drops into his native north east for his highly anticipated NEWS debut.  Also scheduled to appear are Lowthian, JWC, Cameron Kraze, Prince Ameen and more  Tickets are available on 07508013332 and are expected to sell out following the sell out in February so call soon to avoid disappointment.

fye
Due to scheduling issues, the remaining NEWS British Championship Quarter Final match has been contested in a behind closed doors match at training. Anthony McIntyre defeated one of his students, Ross Strong to advance to the NEWS British Champiosnhip Semi Finals.  NEWS British Championship Semi Finals Martin Kirby versus Max Heat Anthony McIntyre versus El Ligero  Also, announced for May 27th First Anniversary Show Lance Thunder versus Andy Swan  Youngster Andy Swan has not appeared in a NEWS ring since he was decimated by Full Pack in November but Thunder has been out of NEWS action lately due to injury. A successful return for other companies and his wealth of experience should give Thunder a distinct advantage against rookie Swan but the determined and resilient yougster will be out to prove everyone wrong and overcome being remembered as the guy Full Pack battered when they reformed. fye
Order of Chaos members Cameron Kraze and Prince Ameen were last disappointed in February and March as their respective title bids for the NEWS and BCW Tag Team Championships came to nothing. In February Fast & Furious beat them on the way to claiming the NEWS Tag Team Championships, despite and attempt to interfere in the title match from the Order of Chaos. A month later Kraze & Ameen were bested by young BCW Tag Team Champions Blaze & Rampage. Kraze & Ameen still believe they should be in the title picture and didn
fye
Due to unforeseen circumstances, NEWS British Championship contender Anthony McIntyre has been forced to withdraw from the First Anniversary Show and therefore forfeit his semi final place in the title tournament. Â NEWS management have been reluctant to replace McIntyre due to being at such an advanced stage in the tournament, nor do they want to give McIntyre's semi final opponent, El Ligero, a bye and therefore a distinct advantage in the final as the semis and final were both scheduled for this show. Â With all that in mind, it has been decided that the three remaining semi finalists - Martin Kirby, Max Heat and El Ligero - will now face off in a 3 way elimination match in the final of the year long NEWS British Championship Tournament.
