VKF WRESTLE NANIWA on COMM - March 27, 2008, Osaka - (1 1/2 hrs)

March 27, 2008, Osaka Azalea Hall

1. Kengo Takai & Shoichi Uchida & Tadanobu Fujisawa -vs- Kabuki Kid & Tengu Takeshi & Masamitsu Kouchi [3/4*]

--- Sprint action, not looking very impressive, but at least it had some energy to wake the few fans that had bothered to show up for this VKF show. Kabuki was all kinds of annoying so I was glad Uchida took care of him with the best series of moves in the match.

12:21 - Uchida pinned Kabuki after a top rope diving headbutt

2. Carlos Amano & Milk -vs- Chikayo Nagashima & Apple Miyuki [1/2*]

--- Oh, God was Milk clueless about what Nagashima was doing. Totally embarrassing. They tried their best to have a match around Milk, but it all just got sour. A little better of couse when the two Oz girls was fighting, but by then we'd been forced too much Milk down our throats to really enjoy it.

12:23 - Amano pinned Nagashima after a top rope suplex

3. Super Shisa & Shisa Boy -vs- Shinobu & Susumu [* 1/2]

--- Light worked lucharesu by these S'es giving us the best wrestling on the show. They kept it professional and stuck to what they know letting what they did sink in well enough. They should be proud of the technical match they had going for them here. Well executed for such a wast of time show. And Dragon Gate's Super Shisa showed what he's good for here beating Susumu with fine technical skills.

13:11 - Super Shisa made Susumu submit to a modified STF

4. 12-Man Royal Rumboo [*]

--- Typical Japanese indy battle rumble with Crowser as the dangerous man doing a lot of eliminating until Kikutaro got a lucky break and won the damn thing.....

(7:46) - Antonio Honda eliminated

(8:31) - KUDO eliminated

(8:56) - Yoshiaki Yago eliminated

(13:10) - Miyawaki eliminated

(15:41) - Ernesto eliminated

(17:29) - Masked Voltage eliminated

(17:37) - KAZMA eliminated

(18:04) - GENTARO eliminated

(18:42) - Gamma eliminated

(19:55) - Magnitude Kishiwada & Crowser eliminated

19:55 - Kikutaro win the 12-Man Royal Rumboo

COMMENTS: Apart from the lucharesu match with the Shisa's this show wasn't much with a basic rumble ending it.

VKF WRESTLE NANIWA on COMM - April 27, 2008, Osaka - (2 1/4 hrs)

April 27, 2008, Osaka Azalea Hall

1. Kengo Takai -vs- Tadanobu Fujisawa [*]

--- Two mainstays on the Osaka indy scene having a fairly average singles match. At least they're not afraid to land the moves so it had it's quality in the lumps of meat department. But of course these are smaller indy lumps so not as interesting. Takai looked the stronger and was the stronger even if he couldn't keep the bridge on the finishing Dragon.

9:14 - Takai pinned Fujisawa after a Dragon Suplex

2. Susumu & Shisa Boy & Dragon Yuki -vs- Kabuki Kid & Tengu Takeshi & Masamitsu Kouchi [3/4*]

--- Highly varied quality. Mostly keeping itself on the lower end with a few nice moves brightening the day a little in a tag match with no flow or much fanfare. Susumu was one of the better and got the deserved pin.

13:06 - Suzumu pinned Tengu with a modified crucifix cradle

3. Chikayo Nagashima & Kikutaro -vs- Antonio Honda & Milk [*]

--- Better then expected with plenty of old school tributes from Honda who also got his hands filled with Milky boobs. And Nagashima made sure Milk stayed focused for this bout so things didn't get embarrassing like they can with untrained girls. And after a overly long bout Nagashima finally ended on top of Milk for the cover after driving those boots down.

18:23 - Nagashima pinned Mika after a top rope double-footstomp

4. Yoshiaki Yago & Masked Voltage -vs- KAZMA & Kurokage [3/4*]

--- Never got interesting really. Some half-decent stuff in there, but it was never an important bout or anything. Just midcard wrestling with the foreigner Voltage picking up the win after getting beat up a lot.

9:54 - Voltage pinned Kurokage with a Gannosuke Clutch

5. GENTARO -vs- Masada [* 3/4]

--- Seeing hardcore American Masada in a technical match isn't exactly the ideal situation, and that was kind of the charm of this match seeing him and GENTARO pull it off and bring the best wrestling on the show. Not always exciting and these VKF shows have dead crowds so they didn't have much help. And the excitement came more from the submission holds then the violence moves with both having a near win with a back-bending crab hold at the later stages of the bout. Masada looked the strongest and was going for his Skullfucka Buster when GENTARO countered it with a flash cradle win.

20:15 - GENTARO pinned Masada with a leg-hook roll-up

6. Magnitude Kishiwada & Shoichi Uchida -vs- KUDO & Shinobu [* 1/2]

--- All this was was a action match, but it was a solid action bout. These guys know their spots and delivered them well enough to give the show a good energetic ending. The crowd was still fairly dead though.

17:10 - Kishiwada pinned Shinobu after a Last Ride powerbomb

7. Crowser -vs- Shoichi Uchida [1/4*]

--- And as a added bonus when Crowser walked in after the bout we get a singles match between the monster and Uchida with Uchida nearly getting the pin at one point, but was effectively trashed down instead.

2:03 - Crowser pinned Uchida after a chokeslam

COMMENTS: Not much fanfare, but this might have been one of the best VKF shows, but that doesn't say much as I didn't feel all that rewarded once it was done.

VKF WRESTLE NANIWA on COMM - May 30, 2008, Osaka - (2 1/4 hrs)

May 30, 2008, Osaka Azalea Hall

1. Tadanobu Fujisawa & Kurokage -vs- Kengo Takai & Shigehiro Irie [* 1/4]

--- Decent heavyweight style indy fighting getting us off on a good note for this VKF show. All did their bit to make it come together with the babyface side of Takai & Irie getting the best hits before Irie was taken care of by the esperienced masked man.

13:16 - Kurokage pinned Irie after a STO

2. Kikutaro & Kenta Kosugi & Milk -vs- Masada & Antonio Honda & Takaya Shibayama & Naoshi Sano [3/4*]

--- Comic flavour bout with loser Sano joining in to make it more pathetic along with the guys in different ways would sexually harass Milk. Lovely stuff included Sano getting beat up by this hopeless girl and Honda's fancy forearm drop. Became more enjoyable then expected for a entertainment match. The end saw Kosugi get the better over the other bland serious guy in there with a brainbuster.

15:12 - Kosugi pinned Shibayama after a brainbuster

3. NOSAWA Rongai & Katsushi Takemura -vs- Yoshiaki Yago & Masked Voltage [1/2*]

--- Plain boring and half-assed. What'd you expect. It's a NOSAWA bout. And Voltage is rather hopeless. Glad he lost.

13:39 - Takemura pinned Voltage after the Verdict

4. Gamma -vs- Shoichi Uchida [* 1/2]

--- Quite fun with Gamma's powder throwing and Uchida countering the water spit spot. To the point and little time wasted. Not perfectly executed, but it was a amusing and happy bout regardless and woke the fans up from the previous match. Uchida was close a few times, but naturally Gamma was winning this one the Gamma way!

9:11 - Gamma pinned Uchida after the Gamma Special

5. GENTARO & Shinobu & Daisuke Masaoka -vs- Super Shisa & Shisa Boy & Susumu [** 1/4]

--- A very spot oriented bout naturally with the main highlight everybody doing wreckless dives including Super Shisa landing on his face when landing and Masaoka doing a crazy balcony dive! And after that the match kind of exploded as much as it possibly could on a VKF show with fast working and a lot of action and near falls to back it up. It was motivated wrestling for a while there! The final 5 minutes or so was really good indy wrestling for the most part and I didn't expect that from a show like this. The end saw GENTARO smoothly lock in the Sharpshooter to make Susumu scream and tap.

19:17 - GENTARO made Susumu submit to Scorpion Death Lock

6. Magnitude Kishiwada -vs- Crowzer [3/4*]

--- Freakshow bout with Kishiwada facing the monster Crowzer one-on-one. Not exactly quality wrestling. 'Highlight' was seeing Kishiwada seemingly puking at the hands of Crowzer's beating, with a close-up of the liquid coming out of Kishiwada's mouth. So yeah, the formula was simple. Crowzer would destroy Kishiwada with impact moves. Kishiwada would puke a little bit in between and then get a short comeback at the end winning it!

12:40 - Kishiwada pinned Crowzer after a Last Ride powerbomb

COMMENTS: The main event was really a side attraction. The 6-man tag and even Gamma vs Uchida was fun and made it a mostly positive experience.

VKF WRESTLE NANIWA on COMM - August 24, 2008, Osaka - (2 1/4 hrs)

August 24, 2008, Osaka Minami Move On Arena

1. Super Shisa & Shisa Boy & Susumu -vs- Daisuke Masaoka & Kenta Kosugi & Takaya Shibama [* 1/2]

--- Youthmans action. Flying around and doing fancy stuff. Not the most lagit match around, but it had it's happy value getting things going with the Dragon Gate wrestler taking care of things.

9:13 - Super Shisa pinned Masaoka with the YoshiToxic

2. Kengo Takai -vs- Naoshi Sano [1/4*]

--- Not much needed to be said. Takai squash Sano and get a rematch featuring the VKF monkey and wins again....

1:04 - Takai pinned Sano after a lariat

3:43 - Takai pinned Ernesto after a German Suplex

3. Tadasuke -vs- VKF Machine [1/4*]

--- Super simple win for the Osaka Pro wrestler over the meaningless VKF masked man.....

3:48 - Tadasuke made Machine submit to a Boston Crab

4. Magnitude Kishiwada & NOSAWA Rongai & Mazada -vs- MIYAWAKI & KAZMA & Ryan Eagles [*]

--- 6-man tag where Ryan Eagles got beat up like he should! Not exactly super wrestling, but after the last two matches this was a refreshing one.

11:36 - Kishiwada pinned Eagles after a Last Ride powerbomb

5. Miracle Man -vs- Takoyakida -vs- Kikutaro -vs- Milk - (4-Way) [1/4*]

--- Yuck. Osaka Pro and VKF joining forces for a comedy match of low quality....

10:21 - Micarle Man made Takoyakida submit to a ankle hold

6. Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada -vs- Shinobu & Tengu Takeshi [* 1/2]

--- Should have been cut down 5 minutes for a better speed match because there was a longer period there where it didn't have much steam at all. But when it was on they displayed some fine light flying to entertain the fans until Harada German'ed Tengu for the pin.

14:40 - Harada pinned Takeshi with a German Suplex

7. Black Buffalo & Hideyoshi & Masamune -vs- Yoshiaki Yago & Masked Voltage & Masada [* 1/4]

--- Some ok fighting, but this really was a mixed interest match which didn't keep the level up all the way and being all kinds random. Rough wrestling with the Osaka Pro guys at least keeping some of the work at a acceptable level with Masamune winning the thing taking care of the foreigner.

16:00 - Masamune pinned Voltage after a modified reversed DDT

8. GENTARO -vs- Shoichi Uchida - (VKF Wrestle Naniwa Title Decision) [** 1/4]

--- Insane lenght to crown the king of VKF! But it wasn't a bad match and it had it's fairly strong moments. As it's GENTARO there was long streaches there with mat and submission work. Dragged a little bit there, but it also created some exciting parts as the long hold was locked in. The later stages was more the big finishers coming with Uchida really wanting to show off landing a Fire Thunder piledriver and a diving headbutt off the balcony! A bunch more moves from both, but once GENTARO heard the 30-min mark he was ready to get this over with landing the top rope elbow drop before getting the pin with the Superkick!

30:49 - GENTARO pinned Uchida after a Superkick to become the VKF Wrestle Naniwa Champion.

COMMENTS: Not the worst VKF show available. The main event was the real prize as they tried. Maybe tried a little too hard going that long, but still a good effort with some nice action matches on the undercard to cover up for the few shitty ones.

VKF WRESTLE NANIWA on COMM - December 2, 2008, Tokyo - (2 hrs)

December 2, 2008, Tokyo - Shin-kiba 1st RING

1. Crowzer -vs- Magnum Edo [1/4*]

--- ....just a joke opener as the monster beat a Magnum TOKYO rip-off....

2:00 of 3:15 - Crowzer pinned Edo after a chokeslam

2. Takaku Fuke -vs- Kazuki Okamoto [1/4*]

--- A real lifeless wannabe shoot style fight with this Okamoto not having much to offer and Fuke doing as little as possible.

10:48 of 10:49 - Fuka made Okamoto submit to a necklock

3. Yoshiaki Yago & Tadanobu Fujisawa -vs- Daisuke Masaoka & Takaya Shibayama [1/2*]

--- Another boring match. Only a few glimts of life like Masaoka's quebrada and Fujisawa's sliding knees that finished it. Otherwise little to get excited about.

11:47 of 11:48 - Fujisawa pinned Shibayama after a sliding knee

4. El Blazer & Kiku Blazer -vs- Sano Blazer & Apple Blazer [1/4*]

--- Comedy with Kikutaro, Apple Miyuki & Naoshi Sano doing El Blazer gimmicks with El Blazer himself. And the plot was Sano & Kikutaro messing up that pattented top rope run dropkick of El Blazer. That was good for a laugh, but when El Blazer messed up his finisher it just became sad with El Blazer having to find a different way to end it spectacularly.

10:06 of 11:15 - Blazer pinned Sano after a springboard Firebird Splash

5. Asian Cougar -vs- Masada - (Hardcore) [*]

--- At least there was some spots to enjoy in this bout making it easily the most entertaining bout so far on the show with it's hardcore elements as two experienced guys in the field meet. Ladder was the main weapon and was jumped on and off for the entertainment of the few fans there. Not even close to their most violent mood, but at least the did some nice bumping before Cougar had it won leeping from the ladder to drop down on Masada.

11:36 of 11:47 - Cougar pinned Masada after a senton off a ladder

6. GENTARO © -vs- Shinobu - (VKF King of Naniwa Title) [* 1/4]

--- Slow style GENTARO build-up working over the arm which only helped lenghten the bout. Not help it. Didn't stop Shinobu from landing the Sex Bomber and some of his other flying moves. One of the most wreckless moves was the top rope Frankensteiner which GENTARO nearly landed in a bad angle. Well, the armwork did lead to the finish as GENTARO made him tap with a armbreaker, but it really was a too long match with only hints of the good stuff from time to time.

20:58 of 21:10 - GENTARO made Shinobu submit to a cross-armbreaker to retain the VKF King of Naniwa Title in his 2nd defence.

7. Dick Togo & Masamune -vs- Magnitude Kishiwada & Shoichi Uchida [* 1/2]

--- Old Osaka pals join to main event as VKF guest Tokyo. Juist one of those standard action matches streached out 20 minutes trading offence and such with the losers looking good before Dick took care of Uchida with the usual senton. Fine action that'll also be easily forgotten.

20:10 of 20:20 - Togo pinned Uchida after a top rope senton

COMMENTS: Don't think VKF will get many fans in Tokyo after this sad show.

VKF WRESTLE NANIWA on COMM - March 12, 2009, Osaka - (2 hrs)

March 12, 2009, Osaka Azalea Hall

1. Shigehiro Irie -vs- Yuki Tamaka [1/2*]

--- Irie was controling. And there was little Tamaka could do to stop him. A nothing opener.

5:25 - Irie made Tamaka submit to a modified crab hold

2. Shinobu & Tadanobu Fujisawa -vs- Daisuke Masaoka & Takayama Shibama [* 1/4]

--- The action match with Shinobu showing off his qualities at the end killing nobody Shibama with the Sex Bomber, brainbuster and the SSP. Other spectaculars saw Masaoka's quebrada and Fujisawa nearly break Masaoka's neck with a powerslam type move.

13:24 - Shinobu pinned Shibama after a Shooting Star Press

3. Kikutaro & Ranmaru -vs- Naoshi Sano & Apple Miyuki [1/2*]

--- The usual comedy bits and pieces with Sano being horrible horrible and also got as deserved when Apple accidentally low blowed him and Ranmaru followed up with a schoolboy for the win.

13:37 - Ranmaru pinned Sano with a schoolboy

4. NOSAWA Rongai & Mazada & Kenta Kosugi -vs- Yoshiaki Yago & Crowzer & Voltage [* 1/2]

--- Didn't expect this to be this solid. Not spectacular wrestling but it had it's hard fighting and loads of near falls with Kosugi getting a bloody nose along the way. And this was a match featuring NOSAWA and the freakshow attraction Crowser and it still didn't suck! A lot of it was forgettable though, but that's expected. But way better then first feared and with an win out of nowhere for Kosugi who all of a sudden decided to do a schoolboy and won it that way.

18:03 - Kosugi pinned Voltage with a schoolboy

5. Dick Togo & Tsubasa & Kengo Takai -vs- Magnitude Kishiwada & Gamma & Shoichi Uchida [**]

--- The Osaka stars join together for a fine indy action. Hardly anything that'll rock your world too much as it's still just a small indy show, but they did put in an effort to make the wrestling living. So you get a taster of all these guys which made for a enjoyable one with a lot of half-brutal moves at the end as Uchida was being killed off.....

20:31 - Togo pinned Uchida after a top rope senton

6. GENTARO © -vs- Takaku Fuke - (VKF Title; 2/3 Falls) [* 3/4]

--- Again I keep getting surprised about this show. Naturally it's a small-time atmosphere and this match features GENTARO and Fuke who are not exactly the most flashy wrestlers out there, but with the format they did this made it a worth-while experience. Very UWF submission based with Fuke showing his skills winning the first fall in little over 2 minutes. Took a while, but GENTARO wrestled back in position focusing on Fuke's leg for the figure-four submission. The 3rd and supposed final fall was more all over the place and also ended that way as both were counted out even if it looked like Fuke was in just as the referee counted 20. But instead of ending it with a screwjob they had one final fall. A very pro-wrestling styled decider with several near falls and submissions before GENTARO out of nowhere flipped Fuke up for the pin to keep the belt.

2:14 - Fuke made GENTARO submit to a achilles tendon hold

11:12 - GENTARO made Fuke submit to a figure-four leglock

5:24 - GENTARO wrestled Fuke to a Double Count Out

5:36 - GENTARO pinned Fuke with a front clutch to retain the VKF Title.

COMMENTS: For a VKF show this was almost fun. The 6-man tags brought the braindead action while the main event almost felt like it ment something.

MICHINOKU PRO on Samurai TV - March 16, 2008, Takizawa - (3/4 hr)

March 16, 2008, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (250 fans)

1. Nohashi Shinjitsu -vs- Yoshiyasu Shimizu - (Oogamania Cup) [*]

--- Shimizu was no trouble for Nohashi. Sure the inexperienced Shimizu got in a little offence to give the match some dimention, but Nohashi wasn't going to lose to this not-so-impressive rookie. At least the chubby one wasn't affraid to take the beating.

9:05 of 9:03 - Nohashi pinned Shimizu with the Sakauchi

2. Kesen Numa-jiro -vs- Rui Hiugaji - (Oogamania Cup) [* 1/2]

--- Old school'ish slow build-up with the veteran Kesen having a competitive bout with rookie Hiugaji. Kesen of course more smart in his fighting, but since Hiugaji's got the potential they make sure he looks ok for his loss including kicking out of the top rope legdrop of Kesen and blocking the Muscle Buster a couple of times, but he still got his ass beat by the veteran less then 2 minutes from time.

14:38 of 18:18 - Kesen defeated Hiugaji via Referee Stop

3. Nohashi Shinjitsu -vs- Takayuki Aizawa - (Oogamania Cup) [1/4*]

--- Quick and to the point. Aizawa tried with the energy wrestling, but Nohashi don't like to stress and made sure Aizawa would not be troubling him for long.

1:34 of 1:31 - Nohashi made Aizawa submit to a Octopus Hold

4. Rui Hiugaji & Takayuki Aizawa -vs- Kenou & Yoshiyasu Shimizu [*]

--- Michinoku's 2007/08 rookies collected for a tag bout to highten their experience. Hiugaji, Aizawa & Shimizu are 2007 generation M.Pro while Kenou had only debuted 2 weeks before this bout. And it's already clear here that Hiugaji is the leader of the bunch trashing Shimizu rather easy with Kenou only getting a short time in the ring without really getting to do all that much at this point.

12:16 of 14:54 - Hiugaji pinned Shimizu with a German Suplex

COMMENTS: The rookies in focus for this rare M.Pro release. Basic wrestling and a decent introduction to the younger generation of Michinoku Pro.

MICHINOKU PRO on Samurai TV - April 13, 2008, Takizawa - (3/4 hr)

April 13, 2008, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (300 fans)

1. Kesen Numa-jiro -vs- Yoshiyasu Shimizu - (Oogamania Cup) [* 1/2]

--- Shimizu opened real fresh catching the veteran off guard diving off the top turnbuckle for a plancha straight away. But Kesen was soon enough back in control and in the usual veteran mode slowly taking the new guy apart bit by bit. Not that it killed Shimizu's spirit as he tried a hot series of cradle attempts and wasn't going to take this lightly. Until he got Muscle Buster'ed....fun match.

10:17 of 11:53 - Kesen pinned Shimizu after a Muscle Buster

2. Rui Hiugaji -vs- Takayuki Aizawa - (Oogamania Cup) [* 1/4]

--- Aizawa was taken care of.....and there was little Aizawa could do about it. Hiugaji was surperior in every way. He got his obligatory comeback and looked half-decent. His cradles much better then his attacks. But regardless there was no doubt Hiugaji was the boss of the two and was the one that was going to win. Doing so with a nice German.

12:11 of 13:21 - Hiugaji pinned Aizawa with a German Suplex

3. Rui Hiugaji & Oogamask & Tree-Planting Man -vs- Nohasi Shinjitsu & Kenou & Yoshiyasu Shimizu [* 1/2]

--- Enjoyable fun style match with the M.Pro comedy, dives and plenty of respect for their fans. First time seeing the the Tree-Planting gimmick which was kind of fun the way he showed fighting spirit and stuff. They all did their bit to make it a ok experience for the fans even if the match had no importance. But I feel for Shimizu. He didn't deserve to job twice this day.

14:35 of 14:52 - Oogamask pinned Shimizu after a top rope 450 bodypress

COMMENTS: Decent small show wrestling with the rookies showing that they do have something to offer the fans.

MICHINOKU PRO on COMM - May 11, 2008, Takizawa - (1 hr)

May 11, 2008, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (330 fans)

1. Nohashi Shinjitsu -vs- Rui Hiugaji - (Oogamania Cup) [* 1/4]

--- Solid with the basics like most of these veteran vs rookie series have been. Nothing different though and Hiugaji didn't rise too much up to the challenge of facing Nohashi. And Nohashi didn't feel the need to add much more to this soup apart from the usual until he had Hiugaji beat.

12:56 of 12:56 - Nohashi pinned Hiugaji with the Sakauchi

2. Kesen Numa-jiro -vs- Takayuki Aizawa - (Oogamania Cup) [*]

--- Aizawa gets to survive a little bit, but thats about it. Kesen wasn't in too much trouble and the little energy Aizawa had to come with wasn't going to make him a winner.

11:09 of 11:01 - Kesen pinned Aizawa after a Muscle Buster

3. Rui Hiugaji -vs- Yoshiyasu Shimizu - (Oogamania Cup) [1/2*]

--- Ended before it had really started and there wasn't anything with the build-up that suggested such a short match. So surprising quick backslide roll-up with for Hiugaji.

3:38 of 3:46 - Hiugaji pinned Shimizu with a backslide

4. Fujita Jr Hayato & Ooga Machine #1 -vs- Kenou & Takayuki Aizawa [**]

--- Already in 2008 the Fujita vs Kenou feud was starting to establish and the heat was on. However the match lived mostly on Aizawa getting bullied by Hayato and his masked pal. And Aizawa was bullied a lot! Only fitting he got some short comebacks, but ended up running into a headkick from Hayato anyway to get the expected result. Good intensity overall even if it did lack some structure midway to which could have made it more interesting.

19:17 of 19:33 - Hayato pinned Aizawa after a high headkick

COMMENTS: A fine way to end the show after all the rookie stuff.

MICHINOKU PRO on Samurai TV - June 13, 2008, Takizawa - (3/4 hr)

June 13, 2008, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (400 fans)

1. Kenou -vs- Rui Hiugaji [*]

--- Too uneventful start for me to really get into it, but the end was good with Kenou kicking Hiugaji's head in nicely.

10:48 of 10:54 - Kenou pinned Hiugaji after a high headkick

2. Yoshiyasu Shimizu -vs- Takayuki Aizawa - (Oogamania Cup - 3rd Place) [* 1/4]

--- And Shimizu, who fits so well into the company profile, gets his reward by not getting last in the tournament! In another decent rookie match with some ups.

8:26 of 8:26 - Shimizu made Aizawa submit to a armlock

3. Nohashi Shinjitsu -vs- Kesen Numa-jiro - (Oogamania Cup - Final) [** 1/4]

--- Not surprisingly the two veterans in the Oogamania Cup has been trashing the rookies which sets the stage for a final between the two. And they gave a good seasoned performace. Kesen in his controled awkward way was a star here working over Nohashi and kept the match at a acceptable pace speeding it when needed and landing the top rope butt-butt which will always be a favourite of mine. Nohashi's crazy moment was a dive out to the floor. And I mean to the floor! Crash landing! They kept battling until the time limit and decided to continue after that. Didn't last too long as they had a quick sprint finish to get the decided with Nohashi's driving crucifix playing the main role getting him the Oogamania Cup win!

19:40 of 20:00 - Nohashi wrestled Kesen to a 20:00 Time Limit Draw

1:22 of 1:24 - Nohashi pinned Kesen with the Sakauchi to win the Oogamania Cup.

COMMENTS: The Oogamania Cup Final! Yeah!

August 11, 2008, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (400 fans)

1. Dynamite Tohoku VIII & Ooga Mask -vs- Kesen Numa-jiro & Aisawa NO.1 [* 1/2]

--- Fairly average lucharesu tag at first, but once it was time for Aisawa and Ooga Mask (Kenou?) take over it got entertaining until Ooga landed a Tiger Driver to beat Aisawa. A lot of the build-up had Tohoku and Kesen take care of the match to mixed result. Especially when it was Tohoku on offence and thats why it took so long to take the match serious.

16:29 of 16:28 - Ooga pinned Aizawa with the MAX Driver

2. Takeshi Minaminno & Maguro Ooma -vs- Nohashi Shinjitsu & Rui Hiugaji [* 1/4]

--- Again standard tag action with the heels making sure the fans was into the faces as they beat them up. The comebacks wasn't coming strong enough and even Ooma managed to look strong as he brutally dropped Hiugaji down for the count.

11:14 of 16:00 - Ooma pinned Hiugaji after the Octopus Drop

COMMENTS: Only two matches and nothing really super or important going on.

MICHINOKU PRO on Samurai TV - November 24, 2008, Takizawa - (3/4 hr)

November 24, 2008, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (400 fans)

1. Nohashi Shinjitsu -vs- Kesen Numa-jiro [* 1/2]

--- Another 20-min match between these two rooted Michinoku Pro wrestlers. Not nearly as good as their Oogamania Cup Final earlier in 2008. Too much filler stuff and it was clear this was no priority match apart from making it a crowd pleaser of the simple kind.

19:30 of 20:00 - Nohashi wrestled Kesen to a 20:00 Time Limit Draw

2. Fujita Jr Hayato -vs- Rui Hiugaji [** 1/2]

--- The kid Hayato was the man stiffin' the hell out of Hiugaji with his kicks and throwing him around with authority. Hiugaji matched him on the throwing, but at this point Hayato is a better overall wrestler and was a lot more dangerous. But they played in Hiugaji's power laying in some blows and landing a big elbow drop to get some good momentum for himself. His biggest oppertunities came with some cradle style wrestling near the end, but Hayato was more ruthless and would eventually knock Hiugaji silly with the Helm. Turned into one of the best matches M.Pro had in 2008.

17:00 of 17:19 - Hayato pinned Hiugaji after the Hekm kneekick

COMMENTS: Yeah, the Fujita vs Hiugaji bout is IMO the second best M.Pro bout of 2008 after the great Hayato vs Yoshitsune title bout 3 weeks later.

MICHINOKU PRO on COMM - April 12, 2009, Takizawa - (3/4 hr)

April 12, 2009, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym (400 fans)

1. Kesen Numa-jiro -vs- Rui Hiugaji [3/4*]

--- A rather dull and long bout of the light-hearted kind. Two babyfaces who didn't really have a reason to fight each other. Nearly ok toward the end, but not nearly enough to get your moneys worth. Kesen the veteran wins choking Hiugaji out leaving the referee no choice but to stop it.

17:51 of 18:17 - Kesen defeated Hiugaji with the Shark Fin Break hold

2. Nohashi Shinjitsu & Ooga Max -vs- Shu Sato & Ken45 [* 1/4]

--- Nothing too outstanding. Your basic action affair with some brawling outside of the arena, some diving and the usual stuff without bringing anything extra. The guy under the Ooga Max mask wasn't looking very good either which didn't help. Forgettable stuff even if the local fans still liked what they saw as they were cheering on the babyfaces to win....which they did.

17:05 of 17:11 - Nohashi pinned Ken with the Sakauchi

COMMENTS: Nothing to see here.....

MICHINOKU PRO on COMM - December 6, 2009, Takizawa - (3/4 hr)

December 6, 2009, Takizawa Village Kindergarten Gym

1. Kenou & Rui Hiugaji -vs- Nohashi Shinjitsu & Kesen Numa-jiro - (2/3 Falls) [* 1/2]

--- First fall was kind of just there. Getting started and feeling each other out until Hiugaji started trying his luck and getting a break in a cradle series with Nohashi grabbing the first fall and a solid win over a more established guy in the company. The veterans got back fairly quickly working together to get the fall back from Hiugaji making it 1-1 with a Shining Wizard-lite move from Kesen. And so much of this match was about Hiugaji trying to step-up and keep-up with the veterans. And for me it didn't result in much of a match. It only kept it down. So the few minute hot tags that Tohoku Junior Champion Kenou did was the saving of a otherwise long and boring fight. And the best moment of the match was also the finish. A very arrogant and decisive kick to Nohashi for the pin as Kenou took care of business as a true champion.

7:14 of 7:46 - Hiugaji pinned Nohashi with a cradle cut-back

3:33 of 3:27 - Kesen pinned Hiugaji after the Ginrin

19:29 of 20:27 - Kenou pinned Nohashi after a high headkick

COMMENTS: One-match show and it didn't create any major fanfare.

STYLE-E on COMM - June 21, 2008, Tokyo - (1 3/4 hrs)

June 21, 2008, Tokyo - Nishi-Choufu Sport-Combat Arena

1. Atsushi Ohashi -vs- Shota [1/4*]

--- There was some digital problems with this match so we missed most of the end where Ohashi beat Shota with a German. And before that they'd done very little of interest.

7:56 - Ohashi pinned Shota with a German Suplex

2. Chou-un Shiryu & Toshihiro Sueyoshi & Akitoshi Saicho -vs- Yuko Miyamoto & Daisuke Sasaki & DT-YUTA [*]

--- Felt like a fairly DDT like action match, with some silly bumps and hurts from Saicho, a barbed wire baseball bat and very average action. They tried to make it more interesting with Sueyoshi not getting along with his team walking out creating a handicap situation with Shiryu & Saicho having to try and fight off the others with even DT-YUTA looking half-credible, but then Sueyoshi came back out looking like he was going to hit his partner, but instead he helped his side win the thing.

14:44 - Saicho pinned YUTA with a powerbomb

3. Masashi Takeda -vs- Keita Yano [* 3/4]

--- Equal battle to double-time limits. I liked what they were doing and wasn't Yano less annoying back in 2008 then he is now? Or is that just me thinking. Anyway Takeda who'd not yet become the super hardcore wrestler we know him today in Big Japan gave a good fight with Yano trading strikes, holds and landing suplexes including a fine Olympic Slam. Too bad Takeda didn't get to win, but it was a match that felt good even if it was in a small dojo arena.

16:12 of 15:00 - Takeda wrestled Yano to a 15:00 Time limit Draw

5:03 of 5:00 - Takeda wrestled Yano to a 5:00 Time limit Draw

4. Kazuhiro Tamura & Shoichi Uchida & Masato Shibata -vs- Masahiro Takanashi & Ken Ohka & Yukihiro Abe [* 1/2]

--- No super direction of the match, but it was a real solid indy tag which little Tamura got to be the star managing to handle Takanashi both in submissions and then the normal beat the crap style dropping him down in a fisherman's buster for the three count. Shibata added the heavyweight fighting and the rest made sure the match was moving at the right pace.

14:31 - Tamura pinned Takanashi after a fisherman's buster

COMMENTS: This was my first Style-E show and it's basically a very normal indy level show. Kind of like DDT with a slightly less comic twist leaning a little more towards Battlarts without going that far in the seriousness.
