I went to the Lucha Forever show in Southampton and it was great fun. Very old-style UK indy where they're not too bothered with storyline or taking things seriously, but the whole thing feels like a party with 100 or so people in attendance. Really enjoyed it, better after a few drinks.

Just checked out the line-up after you mentioned this. How did I miss this? Venue is about 10 minutes up the road. Didn't see it advertised anywhere either.

Is Marc Maron this funny in his own telly show?

I've found him to be a mixed bag, in other ventures, but he's undeniably brilliant in this.

I've binge watched all three of the Maron seasons on Netflix over the past week and found it a great watch. Haven't had a chance to watch any of his stand-up specials yet though.

  3. Does anyone know if Demand Progress works well if viewed on the Internet Explorer app on the Xbox One?

EDIT: Also can anyone recommend a good place to start watching the shows. Heard from a few that the production is a bit dodgy early on.

  4. Ratings for ITV's Saturday afternoon schedules are usually shit anyway. That's why it's usually made up of repeats of Tipping Point and Doc Martin.

ITV have just purchased the rights to show the horse racing haven't they? Doesn't that usually take up pretty much the entire Saturday afternoon?

  5. Bischoff's pod is hilariously carny. For the first two shows they made a big deal saying that their sponsorship deal (with a major company) doesn't kick in til next week so enjoy the show ad free while it lasts. They're now on to show 4, and no longer mention anything about sponsorship.

Certain they were plugging a healthy food delivery service for a good few minutes on his last podcast...

  6. May be a little late to the party but King Fu Elliott is excellent. I'm still pondering whether the whole thing was a work. Even if it was, it was a really fun (and a little dark in places) watch.

  7. It's been a nightmare on my Xbox One lately. Wasn't having any of my password (which I knew was the right one) and had to go to WWE.com to change it. Happened a couple of times over the last week or so.

  8. Give her some time in the job too. I worked for years in the care industry and it takes time for a new staff member to settle. I nearly made the mistake of quitting my first care job after two weeks. Ended up really enjoying the year I spent there and only left due to a promotion that meant me changing workplace. You owe it to her to let her make her own decision on this one because it might end up working out. If it doesn't, then that's really her decision to make.
