  1. I still object to comments like, "We're deviating from the script..." from the commentators, though.

Although I can see your point, kayfabe and all that, what did you expect them to say? They had very little choice but to acknowledge the 'reality' of the situation.
But was it reality? In 'The Death of WCW' it's said that the incident was a work, then Russo ran his mouth too much when he came out the second time causing Hogan to go ballistic and it to turn into a shoot.
Jeez, this discussion could go on forever. If it was a designed work-shoot then they would still need to acknowledge it as real. And if it was then Hogan is even more unprofessional than I previously thought.
  2. Player Uno greatness
Man, thats just genious. Really wish i had the money to add to the old DVD collection, especially the two Chikara DVDs in there. For me, it reminds me why I love wrestling.

From 'Burgan Weekly Enjoyment' thingy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpauQFHkhyIVince McMahon heels it up down in Memphis in 1993. Always wanted to see this, fantastic stuff~

Like a comment on the page says, its amazing to see that five years before Mr.McMahon hit Raw. Never even knew he'd worked anything like that before the Attitude era. Shows he really is a natural asshole. In a good way.

Vince Russo 'shoots' on Hulk Hogan and WCW:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppETm6Sy07wCan somebody explain exactly what happened before he came to the ring?

Wow. Never actually seen that before, only heard about it. Wow. My respect for Russo has went up even more. There's really not much more to say. Wow.
  3. Anyway, how would breaking someones jaw make them a bigger heel? Surely grabing a chair and hitting him with it, getting DQ'd would do the job without causing actual injury to the other guy.

Maybe they wanted to try something new.I'm just trying to think of reasons WHY this would happen.
Me too. I wasn't having a dig. Like I said, they coulda done it without leaving the other guy eating through a straw. And the only people it would make him a bigger heel to are internet smart arses like ourselves, and again, surely, the same result coulda been reached without actual bodily harm. Then again, who really cares? My jaw is fine.
  4. Not a YouTube find, but a Google video find...Fedor Emelianenko's toughest test yet...

    Fucking brilliant!
    Seconded

Maybe the other guy knew he was gonna do it, and it was done to make SUWA look like a cunt. Isn't he a heel ?

I don't know, my puro knowledge isn't great. Just i tend to hold off on calling people twats until i know the full story. Anyway, how would breaking someones jaw make them a bigger heel? Surely grabing a chair and hitting him with it, getting DQ'd would do the job without causing actual injury to the other guy.
  5. Am i the only one who wants to see Joe slap Jimmy Carr after that video?
Hopefully. Seeing as it was done as a bit of comedy, and it's more than likely that Carr and Joe were talking both before AND after the filming about what was gonna be said, and what was said.
What pleasure do you get from being a smart-mark about everything?
Yes, because me pointing out, in a SINGLE thread that it was a gameshow that was being made, means I'm a "smart mark" about "everything". Great job there Columbo, now go figure out the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle.Seriously, from comments on the Youtube page, and the comments from Euthanasia, made it seem like Carr, by making a few jokes in his normal (and great) style, means that Joe should have gone over and beat the crap out of him. They're the people taking crap too seriously, it was a few jokes, get the hell over it.
You cut me, you cut me deep bro. At what point did i give you the impression i was taking it seriously? Was it when i added that adorable little devil to my post? Or was it when i replied to your first smart arsed remark saying im well aware it was a comedy show? I'll say again, im sure they chatted about it beforehand and im sure that Joe took no offence whatsoever during it, and i dare say they had a few laughs in the greenroom afterwards, Jimmy Carr is a funny bloke afterall. Doesn't mean i wouldn't get a kick out of seeing Joe give him a slap. Look, i'll even add another devil for you  just so you dont get confused. Oh, and by the way, i couldnt care if you are or are not 'smart mark' about 'everything'. Must take the fun out of things though.

Jeez, dont take it so seriously. Yes it was probably all rehersed, but that doesnt stop me wanting Joe to put a beating on him.
  7. Taken from The Armpit:

Akira Maeda vs. Wataru Sakata Sakata was a student of Maeda's and was being interviewed by the Japanese press after a disappointing shoot match for Maeda's rings promotion. Maeda, pissed off at the lack of effort he felt his student displayed in the bout, ran up to Sakata knocked him out of his chair and starting beating him up with punches and kicks. The whole thing only lasted a minute or so and aired on Japanese TV, it was not an angle or a work though it sounds like one.

Jeez, im no expert but judging from that video that dude has no right to be in a shoot fight. If he'd at least attempted to fight back or protect himself effectively then Mr.Maeda might have stopped beating on him so bad. :omg:
I'd imagine he didnt want to piss Maeda off even more by fighting back.
Considering he was getting his ass kicked so bad i doubt pissing him off more could have made it worse. If anything it might have gained him some grudging respect.
