  1. This one

But in true sods law today and yesterday lost. I wouldn't have followed him yesterday though because every time I back PSG they lose and its got to the point if I ever go to Paris I'll probably set fire to the stadium.

Today HT-FT on a czech u21 league match seemed a bit random for me. It's rare he does HT-FT I'd probably just have done it as a win which would've been up. He still has a very good record, he's just made me look a tit recomending him though.

I've started following that now. Backed his later 2 options last night, along with Ajax Reserves. The Man U - Reading corners bet let me down though. Might have a look what is posted today though and maybe jump on it

I know he's picked it on his whopper coupon one but If you're just taking the quad (or whats left to play) I'd add his selection in the Droylsden game. I live in Droylsden and get to games when I can. They have been worrse than shite this year. Losing games 3 & 4 -0 regularly and lost at home on sat 6-0 so no chance tonight. When I checked earlier it was 1/6 on Sky Bet but with Droylsdens form you wont really get a better price.

  3. I've been keeping an eye on one of those Facebook tipsters because I was told he has a pretty good success rate. I've watched his tips (usually a treble) every day for 2 weeks now and I think I might actually start following him. I think he's lost something like 2 or 3 out of 14 and he picks some obscure games I wouldn't have looked at myself. Strange thing is its usually his obscure ones that win by big margins. Anyone on Facebook I'd suggest looking up "More Than A Tipster" and just keeping an eye on his predictions.

  4. While we're on the subject of fat bastards, Kassius Ohno is on this week's episode. Even my missus glanced up at the TV and noted how appalling he looks. I'm not sure why he struggles so much to get into shape. He's surrounded by lads with fantastic physiques, surely he would pick up some good training and nutritional advice from someone while he's in Florida?

It's a combination of his diet, immune system as satated above and the face he's never been on steroids or "legal alternatives." I'm sure I read that in an interview once when he answered a question on Claudio's physique and why he wrestles with a shirt on (yes it was that long ago).

I recorded NXT before Raw for the last couple of weeks and I can safely say in future I'll be watching it on mute. If I hear "For the win" one more time I'm going get tickets to an NXT taping, and when I get a clear chance to jump the rails I'll bang his head on the announce desk as many times as possible before I'm carted out of there. Oh and with each bang I'll shout "FOR THE WIN!" He was much worse this week. How many times in the main event alone did he say it? Why are they wasting Saxton as a ring announcer? I thought he was decent as a wrestler but his ECW/FCW annoucing was good enough that if they didn't want to use him in ring he should at least be commentating on a B show now.

  5. Though it is being cracked down on more than ever. I've been after the Fantasticamania weekend events since it happened as a torrent (I prefer to keep them and watch them in my own time rather than watch on youtube) and in the past night one was usually up before night 3 had taken place but this year theres none around at all.

  6. Simple matches, advertise new products like shirts, figures etc, focus on important shows coming up (iMPACT on the road, PPV's). Have these kids grow up with the product because as you can see with the WWE majority of them will stay loyal to the company.

I'd be inclined to agree with you, and a Saturday morning show on Spike would certainly achieve this.

I'm not too convinced on what you say about brand loyalty thing though. When audiences switched channels to Nitro in the mid 90's, they certainly hadn't grown up watching WCW Pro, but just found a better product (with bigger stars).

Though you could argue they were loyal to the stars they grew up with in the WWF.

  7. Onyx, I remember always seeing him in PWI 500 years ago and thinking he looked the business. IIRC massive black guy. This was 10 years ago as well.

Different Onyx but still a massive black guy. That Onyx from NWA Wildside who had a short TNA stint and who you are referring to retired, I think.

I'm glad Holly was in that group then. I almost voted for him from a comment underneath saying he wrestled as Onyx until I saw she was in. Lionhearts group is actually pretty funny how easily he's pissing that group. Over 1300 votes and 800+ votes in the clear.

  8. Not really sure if you'd class this as news but just seen this on Kory Chavis' Facebook and it made me laugh:

Last night, a wrestler called the COps on another wrestler for punching him DURING A MATCH!!!! Worst can't express how pussified that is. I've seen a lot in my 14 years, but that takes the pansy cake!!!!
  9. Well, they can give them a tryout doesn't mean they have to sign them.

    Oh yeah, obviously.

But it just goes to show that their (apparent) dodgy tendencies have not put WWE off having a look. I think those tryout camps are by invite only. You'd think they'd vet people better before wasting everyone's time, if the racist/homophobic stuff is true.

I think I've only heard them talk once and they sounded like genuine inbred hill people.

I think some are invite only and some are attendee's pay. I'm sure JR posted something along those lines once. I'm sure WWE would still let someone attend if they were willing to stump up the cash.

  10. Cisse is fucking hopeless. You'd be better off looking for a Ba/Ameobi double.

True but at 25/1 all it takes is one miskicked shot and De Gea flapping as usual and it'd pay off. I think Cisse is more likely to start.

  11. As a United fan who is less than confident in our defense annd keeper at the moment I think skybet have a couple of nice prices on there for today. Ba to score 2 or more & Ba and CIsse both to score are both 25/1. The prices for us aren't really jumping out at me so I'll probably give it a miss unless I'm tempted to do a traitor bet. Anyone selling an atletico kebab shirt?

  12. Theres an enhanced acc on Skybet for tomorrow. Blackpool, Swindon & Southend at 7/1 looks pretty tasty. I did them as a regular acc and added Atletico with a goal handicap though and got 13/1

Well I'm off to a good start

  13. I wouldn't care if it was just an ad in the mag, but it was an editorial offering a review of "the best episode yet."

I don't know what to tell you; I thought it was the best episode yet, so that's what we printed.

But you didn't quote the second part of my comment. Its clear there is a relationship between you and certain people, and I doubt any of us will see criticisms of said product. It is going to be gleeful praise month after month and as a reader, I don't want to be insulted or played like a mug by reading such.

EDIT: And to give an example, the audio is terrible in places. Why is this ignored if you are unbiased? You are a mainstream magazine offering a review of a video product.

I like FSM and I am an Alex Shane fan but I think that is a very valid point. I'd say its fair for Alex to get a decent amount of coverage in the mag as he's been around a while and its a safe bet his ventures are thought out properly with back up plans incase things go tits up unlike certain other promoters out there. To take a risk featuring an unknown promoter or a Danny Rodd so heavily could end up damaging BritWres reputation if a casual fan picks up the magazine because he sees Triple H on the front, reads an article on Steven Gauntleys latest cluster fuck and decides to go along and ends up out of pocket. While there are other promoters out there who have consistantly put on a high standard of shows with minimum balls ups Alex does always seem to be the one who has something new on the go all the time. However not everything Alex touches is pure gold so it would be nice every once in a while to hear the bad as well as the good because I've also had the impression that Alex has a bit more involvement than a former columist and regular ad buyer.
