apt. for the day, but i have a question regarding the classic WWF Wrestlemania song...

why does the opening reference the Survivor Series?

No idea, but what makes even less sense is that its Jimmy Garvin who references it on an unaired segment at the time.

$29.99 for Supercard of Honor on fite.tv? Jesus!

If you want to watch the event, it probably works out cheaper to sign up for a month to HonorClub. They're streaming the show and it's works out at just $9.99.

And I think you can even watch it on Fite.tv if you're accounts are linked.

What were some WWF matches with blood from say Hogan's 1st reign to WM13 Bret & Stone Cold.

    Flair v. Savage WM8 and...?

Bret v Bulldog from IYH 5 in December 1995. Bret bleeds loads in that match and its also a superb match, maybe even better than their SummerSlam encounter.

  4. The Hall of Fame video history package set to Metallica's Sad But True on Smackdown is pretty cool and worth a watch.

Its also up on their YouTube channel if you don't want to sit through 2 hours of WWE to watch it.

It’s that time of year again when I get the Network for six weeks. Have there been any must see WWE matches or content on the Network since last Mania that I should catch up on?

If you like hard hitting matches I'd recommend Walter v Ilja Dragunov from NXT Takeover 36 in August for the UK title.

Saw Sussex in a T20 game last night and they had a 16 year old bowling.

Which means he would have been an actual baby during the 2005 Ashes.

He's played again tonight in the live game on sky and has taken 3-14 from his 3 overs.

Incredible from such a young lad, I'd have been bowling it off the square if that had been me in a live game.

  7. Speaking off YouTube, I'm really enjoying the fact that all the counties are streaming their 4 day games.

Watched most of the final 2 days of Lancs v Sussex (Jack Carson looks a great prospect for Sussex), then being able to just flick over to watch the end of that Yorkshire v Northants match which went down to the wire was great (apart from the result 😄)

  8. The actual injury occurred on the Sin PPV but due to WCW being WCW theyd actually cut to the entrance ramp for Animals mystery debut as Sid performed his high risk jump off the second rope, and then cut back to him lying on the mat.

They actually showed the graphic footage the following night on Nitro.

And also because the finish of the match was Animal turning on Sid, he had to lie there in pain while Animal slowly made his way to the ring before he got any medical attention.

Anyone watched The Test on Prime yet? Seems to be getting great reviews even from non-cricket fans, which kind of worries me because if you don't like cricket then your taste is obviously off.

Yes I really enjoyed it. It kicks off straight after the sandpaper incident and was probably done as a bit of a PR exercise, and it worked on me as Tim Paine comes across really well on it.

Even if you don't end up watching all of it, I'd at least watch the episode that shows the Stokes Headingley test match, just for Langer's reaction to it all.

Did anyone ever have the 1998 series of VHS tapes that all looked like this? I don't remember ever seeing these in the wild before.

Yes I owned all of these. I used to order them monthly I think after initially seeing them advertised in Powerslam.

As Butch said they were only available via mail order. If I remember correctly they released all the 1997 / 1998 events apart from the Halloween Havoc shows. (Which I can only think that there was an issue with the Slim Jim advertising all over the ringmat/posts which maybe caused an issue in the UK) . They also went back and did BATB 1996 and I think they had plans to release older shows but then Warner Bros took over the UK distribution in 1999.

Cheers, I saw that but when I click on it it only starts a 32 min programme. I’m assuming it’s either an error or BT only have rights to show highlights after the initial 24 hours.

No that's the length of the ladder match. On the app it breaks the shows down into segments. If you tap on your screen and then where is says "6 person ladder match" it will show you the other parts. Theres only 3 segments on this episode due to Gargano/Ciampa wrestling for eternity.

This switch to a 7 day delay for NXT is a disaster. I also have BT Sport app but the most recent episode is not on there either (only highlights). Currently seems like there will be a dead period where the episode is unavailable to watch anywhere in the UK for several days. I’ve e-mailed the network to ask if this is a mistake. Let’s see what they say.

With the rumours that PPVs will come off the network, NXT would be the one thing keeping me. However if this 7 day delay persists I’m tempted to do the unthinkable and cancel my sub. It would be a wrench to lose Takeovers but AEW is brilliant so maybe I could make do with just that.

The latest episode is up on the BT app in full along with previous weeks and Raw/Smackdowns. Just go to the WWE page and scroll down to Full Event Replays and they are all there.
