  1. Which shop? You can actually buy it?

You have to download it. The new PSP Go don't take UMD's so all the games are downloads now via the PSstore which is on the far right on your menu screen on the PSP. All the downloads work on all the PSP's just the older models sometimes have a small mem card. So check you have enough space on your mem card go into the PSstore find MGS its under classics, Its about

  2. Finished Alan Wake yesterday! Cracking little game, which although a little short (having just finished Fallout 3, playing for 96 hours so should probably be forgiven) actually was a pleasure to play, and am now looking forward to the DLC out next month! If I'm honest though, it freaked me out plenty, to the point of giving me nightmares last night! Of course that wasn't helped by the fact we had a power cut last night which set our house alarm off, which meant I had to trek downstairs armed with only a wind up torch and (in the absence of a shot gun) a plastic coat hanger! Needless to say, I looked like a dork going outside with that combo, only to find out that the alarm was actually the building opposites!

    Shitty!

Am now currently 53 stars into Mario Galaxy 2! It's awesome! (Controls aside apparently!)

  3. The Number 23

Actually enjoyed this and was quite shocked when I checked Wikipedia for the reception section which says that critically it was shockingly received! I thought it was a fairly well written story, which twisted on me just as I thought I had worked out it was the wife what done it (before the dirty hands) and then actually liked how they sowed it all together with the last part! It was nice to see Jim Carey in a serious role too!

Has anyone else seen this? Am I the only one who enjoyed it?

    Verdict: Creepy, jumpey, Carey!

    7/10

  4. Hancock

Perfect film to watch whilst hungover, first thing on a Sunday morning! I really enjoyed it and liked the whole concept! Glad I didn't read the back of the DVD case however, as, although I realised that something was up with the wife, I didn't see her being special coming! Heared there could be a sequal in the works which would be good too!

    Verdict: Will Smith-tastic!

    8/10

  5. Deja Vu

Interesting take on the time travel genre, which, after looking on Wikipedia has confused me! Apparently there are four separate time lines rather than the two that we actually seem to see! I almost wish that he had always gone back, and always caused the bombing himself, and a little bit gutted that they went for the obvious ending, but nevertheless a worthwhile watch which I would recommend to anyone that asks me about it!

Verdict: Deja Vu is like movies I've seen before in terms of how they handle the time travel plot, but is a worthwhile watch anyway!

    8/10

  6. Thought I'd break up my action heavy start of my DVD week with a comedy...

...instead got perhaps the biggest fun vacuum ever

    The Love Guru

The 99p garage equivalent of Austin Powers which actually stars many of the same people! Mike Myers plays the Love Guru, who, rather than being all kinds of hilarious like I was expecting, instead does goes for the drunk, lewd uncle way and thus became not funny! Mini Me (off of Austin Powers) turns up just to have the piss taken out of his height, which unfortunately comes up a little bit short! Justin Timberlake also plays the main man in a poor mans Dodgeball rip off, and seemingly, instead of doing actual acting decided to eat the E number equivalent of the whole Smarties factory! The film went no where, was not funny and seemingly pointless (for the audience at least, maybe it was an elaberate plan for Myers to get to get off with Jessica Alba/Beal/Simpson (whichever one of them it was), which I hope it is true because at least it had some point)!

Verdict: About as funny as John Terry pissing against a bar!

*All of this of course assumes it was meant to be a comedy, if it was going for drama I will take it all back!

  7. Terminator Salvation

Brief Synopsis: Christian Bale (Off of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, That infamous secretly recorded rant) runs around being manly and gruff and stuff, with the assistance of a murderer/robot/human who got manipulated into getting Bale to Skynet/getting Bale killed or summin, all in the aid of rescuing Christian Bale's father and a miniature, mute Jamie Afro (Off of The X-Factor, 2011 HMV Bargin Bin)! Some cyborgs attack Bale, only for him to kill about 3 of them (and a Louis Tussaud inspired Plastic looking Arnie (Off of Treminator and the White House) and then destroy the whole city and then get stabbed through the heart before getting reunited with his pointlessly pregnant wife/girlfriend/mistress! Murderous Human Cyborg Fella then casts doubt on why he was sent from the past in the first place by offering Batman his really strong heart which brings back lovely memories of the Wizard of Oz! Bale survives, whilst Murderous Human Cybrog Gent is done professionally!

Good movie actually! I'd recommend it!

  8. Star Trek

Really enjoyed this having bought it a few months ago! Haven't seen any Star Trek before but the combination of JJ Abrams, Damon Lindeloff, Zachery Quinto and Simon Pegg drew me in! Great movie, which again touches on time travel, which is my in thing at the minute and does so really well! Smiled when Nemoy showed up as really didn't expect him to!

Good action, good story and a good way to spend two hours! Highly recommended!

  9. Bought all the Terminator films back last year and watched the first two! Just got around to the third:

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

I really enjoyed it, with enough action and a little bit of plot which generally looked fantastic compared to the other two movies plus a little twist at the end and all at under two hours! My kind of film!

What are other peoples thoughts on this movie and how it fits in quality wise with the others in the franchise?

Terminator Salvation is next and then me and the Terminator Franchise are done professionally!

  10. Got 5 on the go at the Minute!

Moonwalker on the Mega Drive: Didn't do it the first time and started it a few months ago so decided to have a crack at finishing it off!

Professor Layton on the DS: I have the last two extra puzzles to finish and then I'm done! Have spent the best part of 90 minutes on the very last puzzle and havent got the foggiest about the previous one!

Prototype (360): Loving this game, gonna have a few hours on it this afternoon, the atmosphere that develops the more you play the game is great and I love the upgrades!

Tiger Woods 10 (Wii): Haven't played this that much due mainly to time but Wii Motion Plus definitely adds to the game! Will hopefully get more acquainted with this over the weekend.

Grand Slam Tennis (Wii): Again, Wii motion plus has made this avergae tennis game awesome, havent had a good blast at it but may have another go this PM now I can stat the Aussie open!

Anyone else have Tiger or GST? If you want a game let me know!

  11. Don't really want to start a new thread over this but feel we need a wide opinion on it! The new season of Lost is starting tonight in the US and the new season of 24 started 2 weeks ago! Obviously we have people watching one or both of these shows and so have discussion threads for both! The one thing that bothers me is the fact that the 24 thread is UK pace with US pace spoilers in spoiler tags, where as the Lost thread is the other way around! Maybe it's me being anal, but does this strike anyone else as not making any sense? I'd be worried that some one would go from the 24 thread after watching on Sky one knowing that thread is safe for them as the spoilers from the US airing are hidden, and would then go into the Lost thread thinking exactly the same! Obviously there is no need for two threads for each show, but surely in the interest of userbility we would be better having some form of consistency?

Anyone else have any thoughts or am I just being anal?

To be honest yeah I pretty much agree, as an avid follower of both I watch at Sky pace on both shows. i only ever download or watch show via stream site, that are a good few months worth or waiting away. Such as Dexter season 3 for example.

So yeah I don't think you're being anal...And if you are, we're anal together oooeeer

Thanks! I'm not necessarily saying that these threads should be at Sky pace, just that there should be some sort of consistency for threads of this type! If that means all at US pace then so be it!

  13. Just bought and watched Vantage Point and very much enjoyed it.I've gone back and read the points that a few of you made about it at the time, and understand them to some degree, but I think this is the kind of movie where you just need to switch off and not think about things so much. Yes, the ending was a bit stupid, but while watching it, it didn't occur to me that anything was wrong, it was only after reading here that I see it as a little bit off.The Gun/PDA thing didn't really bother me at all and neither did the flashback formula! I've read a lot of criticism on digital spy about the time line but I think people fail to understand that although it is the same 23 minutes being repeated through different viewpoints. the flashbacks are not 23 minutes long and so do have gaps in them, hence the timings seeming to be off when they actually aren't.I also didn't see the Matthew Fox twist coming until it happened which pleased me!Anyway, in summary: I enjoyed it, feel the DVD purchase was well worth my 12 student pounds. I will watch it again, and at 1 90 minute run time, this is going to join Phone Booth as one of my "quick and easy" ways to pass a few hours! I would recommended it, but only to people who are prepared to suspend their disbelief and not think about things too much.8/10

  14. Last night, I was in a terrible mood, everything I did I got bored of within minutes so I turned on the Wii and went to the original Super Mario Bros and spent two hours on it! Having never finished it before its an awesome expirience and I am currently on level 7-1. I think I was a bit too tired to stick with it last night but gonna go finis it now! Any one else played it recently? Is anyone else hoping for a Nintendo announcement on being able to transfer VC games to the DS? Now that would be a cool feature!

  15. Not unless you don't want that last elusive Power Star!I didn't do it - I started but Luigi is really quite frustrating to control! He slips around everywhere...

So I have one more star to collect?? So I just start up Luigi and get it?
  16. Well just on the closing credits of Mario Galaxy. What a pleasure! Loved every second of it and will more than likely end up going back through it again someday, maybe a few years down the line. In that respect it wont be a trade in. I'm guessing the suprise comes after the credits? Great ending!

  17. I am very excited! Have just collected my 117 star on Super Mario Galaxy, 3 more and I will have fully completed my first 3D Mario Game! Is anyone else still playing this?On a side note I have also heared about and managed to avoid the big suprise that comes with getting all 120! Can't wait to see what that is! Nintendo have yet to dissapoint me so it better be good!

  18. Got Smash Brothers this morning! Its my first dabble into the series and I am finding it quite hard to not let it turn into a button basher! Is this normal? Will the controls come to me in time! Also, Call me stupid but im stuck on mission 16(I think) where you have to protect 6 pikmin so they can grow What the hell am I supposed to do? I haven't got a clue! (Thats no an intentional rhyme)Any help people/JLM
