Easily the strongest of this series sketches. Actually getting Alan Moore invloved was fucking genius!
-
Was I the only one to gasp, with excitement, at Stewart playing guitar in the red button extra? And More so, when he started singing? The end sketch was kinda meh but I thought it was by far the strongest episode, thus far
Â
He did something similar during the 'If you prefer a milder comedian, please ask for one tour', playing a pretty much straight version of Galway Girl to close the show, with the odd joke line thrown in - it was similar to how he messes with the form of stand up using repetition and dragging stuff out to make people uncomfortable and laugh at the same time, but this time he used something sincere like singing the song that reminded him of his wife to get the same effect.
I'll give it to you straight. Like a pear cider, that's made from 100% pears. I then saw "If you prefer..." the day after and saw him playing with the same guy from the red button extra. I just had no idea he could carry a tune

Next weeks topic is charity. According to the epg
This was also the topic of the first show, but he talked about crisps instead, so they've made him do it again -
The new format is really working. Especially the build up to the sketch and the always excellent digs at other comedians. Still, Shotgun toting pearly king on a harley. Guy Ritchie missed a trick there

does anyone know what the original listings where on the wrestling channel ?
You mean what promotions were shown?
If so, I think it was something like this:
Â
TNA
ROH
CZW
3PW
NOAH
CMLL
FWA
World of Sport
Some Joshi fed
IWW
Memphis Wrestling, I think that was there from the start. Possibly Classic Memphis too?
Â
That's all I can think of from the top of my head, there might've been another one or two but the above were definitely shown when the actual channel first aired.

It doesn't say "free crisps" on his gig listings
Really like the new format tweak of the cut aways to Armando Ianucci (sp?) giving him a bollocking. And Lee seems more confident in his performance. Maybe he's getting paid more or has come to terms with looking like a contracted Mr Fantastic

Good day

I would also recommend his book: How I escaped my certain fate. On the surface, you'd think reading transcripts of his stand ups wouldn't make great reading. But the side notes, explaning the structure and relavance of his material is really insightful. And a real eye opener into the comedy business. I got a pre-signed copy, except I'm not sure if it's really his, as it's in biro

They only seem to be showing the season premier. Which was, what: 5 or 6 episodes? Disney XD just keep showing those episodes. It's a pain seeing as it's the closest a super hero cartoon has gotten to the sheer majesty of justice league unlimited
Â
Disney XD havevstarted showing new episodes.
Cheers for that. They're on saturday and sundays. But not always in order. But fuck it, I'd rather watch Regular Show.
But seeing as it just came out on trade and is gonna be a film. Who's read Mark Millar's Nemesis?
For a short series, I really enjoyed it. Made a nice change from the usual tortured anti-heroes of late

Does she often pop into Asda and arrogantly boast to complete strangers?
Â
Edit: and make sure you all vote for Robbie Williams. And James Corden.
She lived in the area that asda was in. So he saw her several times and would chat to her. And it's something she just spurted out once. A few of the babestation girls used to pop in there, as it was near the studio. Go figure
-
I also want to add Frankie, out of The Saturdays. A mate once met her -about a year ago- when he worked in Asda. He told me she pretty much boasted that "Every guy wants to do me"
Â

Â
Â
...I just feel sorry for Wayne Bridge
-
Seconded on Keith Vaz. If not already mentioned: Alexa Chung. For showing gonzo could actaully become more twattier than before.

If she hasn't already been mentioned. Cassandra Peterson -59

Â
Or as most people would know her...

Elvira, mistress of the dark

all of Ennis' run on Punisher MAX is good. but I'd recomend getting: Up is down, black is white. The slavers. Mother Russia. In The beginning

Andre Royo. aka Bubbles from the wire. Interviewed him about his role as Bubbles (despite people there making the "wrap it up" sign) because I was such a fan. Later on I went to get a signed picture. Firstly he refused my 15 quid to the autograph (I paid anyway) and when I apologised for the interview going over time, he no prob and he could've talked about the wire for hours.
Â
I saw Julian Barret (mighty boosh) in a second hand clothes shop in camden. That character he played in Nathan Barely. Not an act.

and that is why I just say "journalist" never "games journalist"
-
.If you want a quirky and subversely sexy woman who presented a computer games show, look no further than Violet Berlin.
Â
She is just as annoying to me.
gaz top might beat you up for saying that
-
ask her about the troubles in Northan Ireland. For some reason I think whatever her opinion is is going to be gold
-
god, how much cock did she take to parrallise her face like that?
-
I think Cushing never countd because he's doing Hartnel's doctor in a film adaptation of a tv show. And E Grant was in a slightly unofficial audio play (done by the BBC but not along the lines of the big finish ones)

was a slow burner, whic is something you don't expect from DR Who these days ( I wonder what the younger fans thought of it) but when it kicked into gear, jesus christ was it good. RTD is about to end his run and he's gonna do it in style! BRING ON THE DRUMS!
Â
Oh yeah watched it last night wasent bad but could of been better.
Â
I get what you mean, they've done the "we're all stuck in a spacestation with some creepy thing about to get in and it could be one of us!" set up before but as a fan of the wasted McCoy era (I was a kid then ok) I liked the Dr's sudden megalomaniac tendancies creeping in at the end. Is that what the assistants are really for? To keep his moral compass on track?

He's interviewed Moore at a convention and on a documentary on channel five, hence the sketch
