  1. I think Hiromu is really credible, he just faced Evil for the title and it looked fine, he beat Ishii in the cup and towered over him, well not towered but he was noticeably bigger.

Agree that Fredericks doesn’t look quite as cool now he’s a bit clean cut.

I think Uemura is the pick of the young lions, although it is fair to say a lot of that may be projection. He just looks like an ace these days. In a way that Kawato never did, with his odd eyes and that.

  2. Out of those, only Hiromu is a junior. Well, Uemura is right now but has already bulked up loads. Fredericks is a big lad. He has everything I think.

Hiromu is just too good though, he’s not big but he’s destined to not stay a junior, he’s just too popular. I reckon he’s the most popular act they have at the minute.

I don’t think there’s a worry about any of this lot.

  3. Hiromu is the next big star, there’s also Karl Fredericks, Jay White, Umino and Uemura.

If the main events consisted of them in 5 years time I don’t think it’d be a problem at all.

  4. Loads of people have stopped watching and those that have stayed are getting old.

I know lots who have stopped. I’d say most people I know who used to watch don’t now.

I stopped a couple of years ago and I’ll never be back. I’d watched since Summerslam 90 and the habit wasn’t easy to break at first but it’s lovely without it.

  5. I don’t know, it just doesn’t feel like this big Evil push is particularly out of left field to me. Slightly rushed yes but not weird really.

I also think people are overstating his mediocrity. He’s really good. He’s not Naito or Ibushi but it’s not like he’s Fale or Honma either.

It might not work but it feels like a bit of a shot in the arm I reckon. And he’s shitloads more interesting than Sanada.

  6. 1 hour ago, forlan said:

Great to see you could not even read the full sentence or paragraph..i said they had been through a lot which made the company toxic so it had to close really.

In  no way was it an attempt to downplay what those people did

You need to be brighter than you are to patronise properly.

I read it and understood it. What I was saying is that Chikara hasn’t been through anything. The people that people high up in the organisation molested, raped and abused have been through things.

  7. Saying that “Chikara has been through a lot” and then naming 4 severe sexual abusers who worked and trained there for years as though they aren’t a huge part of it is insane.

Chikara isn’t a person, it’s an organisation that these cunts were a huge part of, they harmed innocent people, they WERE Chikara.

And I say that as someone who has been a fan of theirs. I think Quackenbush was an amazing wrestler with a near genius mind for it, but who really gives a fuck about that right now?

  8. The Undertaker.

I know. It’s been a long three decades for me..

I think it stems from me listening to Survivor Series 90 with the picture scrambled and them going “Look at the size of this guy” and being disappointed when I saw him and he wasn’t about 600lbs. I was well into Tugboat and Boss Man around this time, loved a big fat wrestler.

Then, at Mania, I had 10p on Snuka beating this so called phenom at 10/1 (Christopher Hamill from the next year was running a book and I didn’t know how pushes worked yet) and the fucker cost me a quid and my stake back.

Ive never really got onboard since. I don’t think he’s shit or anything but I’ve also never cared about his stuff really.

  9. What was that western starring Seth McFarlane? That was fucking rotten.

The most annoyed I’ve been though was Mother. Terrible film where nothing happens for ages, then it’s stupid and they gratuitously kick Jennifer Lawrence in the head and reveal her tit for no reason (I mean, I love a boob but it was so weirdly done).

It was a film that thought it was clever but was as stupid as Anthony off Big Brother and as unpleasant as when Craig was was creeping around Anthony off Big Brother when he was pissed.

  10. Happily, I’ve never got that “Ha! I got a response off you I win!” shit.

so someone is being a dick (Even “ironically”) and they’ve somehow beat you because you’ve noticed?

    Bollocks.

And before anyone goes “Don’t get so angry/upset/offended/triggered” I’m not, I’ve had a lovely day, I can tell people they’re a cunt really calmly and while I’m a great mood.

  11. So, he says racist things, his family (Incestuous) are racist and he admits he’s a racist and that’s still not enough for you?

You know what this sounds like? Those blokes who think what Ched Evans did is okay because it’s the same way they act.

I’m quite happy, especially in the current climate, to write you off as a harmful fucking cunt.

Sorry for cursing and fucking cussing.

  12. Stevie Richards is my favourite wrestler of all time. I think because when I saw him in about 97 he just seemed to be having a really nice time. He’s got a certain joy to him.

Ive always preferred undercarders though. Almost any of them really. I’d say I’ve got more enjoyment over the years watching Koko B Ware than I have The Undertaker.

Maybe just because you see them less?

  13. I don’t think that Brian Last gets Jericho. He could have retired years ago but clearly a very creative person, he gets pretty much free reign in AEW I’d have thought, I really don’t think he’s there because he can’t do anything else.

  14. Not arsed about The Blade, he’s solid enough but has been around for years and never been much really but am I alone in thinking The Butcher has something as a singles act? Probably with the right manager.

Looks pretty hard, a bit of a throwback. Him vs Hangman for example is something I’d be well onboard with.
