  1. To be fair my mum knows who grado is unprompted mainly because a friends kids are fans. She wouldn't be able yo name me any other Scottish wrestler.

Household name is a bit of a stretch but I haven't been back up here that long.

I'll go as far to say he is the most Famous Scottish wrestler in Scotland. For what that is worth.

He is known to kids as my visit to Pro wrestling elite showed so the statement that he is just known by ICW fans is wrong too. I'll go Down the middle

  2. Would a World X Cup be an idea to fill BFG card out if done properly with a 3 man team USA/Mexico/Japan/Europe ?

Not after the debacle with the taped X-Cup PPV. Has that even aired yet? Besides, they can barely afford to pay the talent they already have. Can't think bringing a group of outsiders in for a payoff on their big show would go down too well.

Their was a taped x cup ppv? Did i miss that? They did an international cup but it wasn't x cup it had heavyweights knockouts and tag teams in it.

  3. Just in case people thought David Icke was just a harmless loon,

    http://www.davidicke.com/headlines/72935-t...gure-david-icke

Icke classily publishing private email addresses of employees at Sega for his lunatic followers to bombard.

I'm not sure if there are many people who do believe that.

I find him harmless personally but that's because I can see through all of the shite and pick out what's good.

But if you take him completely literally yes what he say's can be dangerous. He's a bit like Christianity in that respect.

  4. The man is a fucking menace.

    That's a bit harsh!

It's all entertainment, isn't it? David Icke, Derek Acorah etc.

I do find Icke quite entertaining actually, one suggestion on Icke is that you can read him has swiftian satire, if you don't take everything he says literally there can be some merit to what he says on some level he can work well for inspiration and motivation too. Also the story about his change around about the time of the Terry Wogan interview is quite interesting.

However as a proponent of psi research and as a fan of the likes of Radin and Sheldrake I find Acorah as more of a problem, fraudulent mediums such as Acroah do more to progress scepticism than Randi do's.

  5. Ah well. King was tremendous on Impact. Its a shame we won't get to see him and Titus have a long reign, but things are looking good in TNA. His interaction with Austin Aries is a good sign. Nice to see history, even outside the promotion, exists there.

That's what i like about TNA it dosen't deny there is an outside world, you don't have to shill other companies but it's nice to nod to their being a wider world out there. The only thing it probably shouldn't do is mention WWE.

WWE do's it if it suits them, but by and large it has always been in it's own bubble.

Kenny did well seemed to hold up under the big light's shame lars didn't he really isn't has bad as he looked but mabe the likes of PWG is his level.

  6. Considering the latest with Kenny King, Highspots are rushing out an interview they did with him and Rhett Titus two months ago.

Definitely no-brainer why he went for TNA after watching that.

He comes off as quite smart there. A little bit limited on his vocabulary but smart nonetheless.

  7. I didn't mind it but I stuggled with its length. the opener is good if a bit short, then it was ok for the next two matchs with corino steen being my match of the night however if you hate unrealistic kickouts and too many big spots you might hate it Steen went a bit mad at the end too. To me it's ok to do that with a big match, if you don't mind the over the topness you would be alright with this PPV I think.

the gauntlet was ok again with the strong match being quite good. I have no idea what they were trying to do with the tag title match it was a horrible mess. I think I was burned out towards the main event but the finish was good.

If you like ROH for what it is you would be ok but if the PPV has to be good or exceptional for you to like it perhaps not.

I still think they give you vale for money out of the "big three" but they really need to sort out the production it's laughable sometimes.

  8. I'm probably reading too much into this, but with TNA doing the India thing and naming their Spike show just 'Impact Wrestling', is this them turning TNA into an NWA type deal? Having constant world wide 'territories', instead of a WWE model of selling their US based shows internationally and then doing a few shows on a continent a couple of times a year. It's an odd move, hopefully it pays off for them.

would be pretty awesome if they slowly built up feds in untapped territories, hopefully it will be available over here some way. i take it they chose india due to tnas popularity there, and the sheer amount of people there

I like the potential idea of it and didn't WWE think of doing somthing similer not to long ago?

It's like when WWA did a PPV in scotland I think stuff like that is in the right direction, it was a good idea, didn't work but was a good idea.

If a promotion targeted wrestling stareved areas it could win over fans in said area, as oposed to having to wait for a WWE house show.

Treat your punters well good idea.

  9. Hang on I recognise him.....

Quite a while back I got a Facebook freind request from exactly the same bloke.

When I messaged him asking him who he was he replied that he saw me around the gay scene and didn't know a lot of people there.

I replied back with I don't hang around any such scene. Then he disapered.

which made me wonder how he found me in the first place, then it dawned on me even further aback he added me to MSN and tried to get me to come on here and say nice things about him just when he was making one of his combacks.

    It all makes sence now....
