This continues to be a cracking little show in my eyes.   Loving the way that you don't get everybody on every show, so the whole thing has a certain level of freshness every week. 

 

Anyone else reckon that Kevin Owens looks like a younger Father Fintan Stack off of Father Ted? 

I posted a few weeks thinking Bull Dempsey looked like him but looking again I do see the Owens resemblance 

Yeah that sucks. I knew Kendrick was having matches in NXT but didn't know he was coming back on tonight's episode.

I loved Ric Flair crying saying Charlotte had made it even though all she was doing was being one of HHH's servant girls in his entrance.

I'll have to listen to more of his shows. I listened to the one he had with Billy Corgan mainly because Smashing Pumpkins are one of my favourite bands. Loved hearing his story on how he got on to ECW TV and how Heyman asked for a millions dollars for a small percentage of the company before it shut down.

Listened to that Sam Roberts bloke's podcast. Seems the only wrestling he knows is WWE and he's a bit of a WWE ass kisser but he interviewed Roman Reigns a few days before the Rumble. It wasn't a long conversation but Reigns came off quite well but also quite a bit arrogant. He says that with social media etc that everyone has a voice and an opinion and the fact that CM Punk calls himself the voice of the voiceless is bullshit because anyone can voice their opinion these days. I listened to a few of Cabana's latest shows as well. He talks to Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne who comes off a bit of a weirdo hippy and that when he left the WWE he went to Peru to spend some time doing some weird drugs and I listened to Goldberg's interview where he comes off as well the Goldberg we all know and love.

Jobber boys? They were tag team champions last year and appeared on quite a few PPV's. I'd agree that they won't get a spot at Mania but they are not jobber boys. I wouldn't say that 99% of the audience don't care for them either.

At least as Stardust he has a character that the kids can get behind. I can't see Stardust being involved in any huge angles but he's got a look that will sell merchandise with kids like Kofi, Rey, Sin Cara. If Goldust is retiring then a Mania match would be a great send off.

 

Rumours going around that Goldust is going to retire after Mania 31. Looks like we will get that Goldust V Stardust match then.

 

Don't think anyone would've predicted Goldust to last so long or for his career to end so greatly. It's been a great run alongside Cody.

 

Personally hope they drop the Stardust gimmick once Goldust is out of the picture.

 

The thing is if they do drop the Stardust gimmick then what next for Cody? They have tried and tried with so many things to make him a top star but he's never quite managed to deliver. So if Goldust goes, what next for Cody?

Listened to Jericho's podcast with JBL. JBL comes off great, nice guy, very humble to the business/wrestlers and understand that he's not the best in ring performer. Jericho though once again comes off looking like a tool "In WCW I don't remember doing any promos, maybe 1 or 2"... really? 1 or 2? In 1998 I'm pretty sure Jericho was on the mic most shows mocking Malenko, Mysterio, Juvi, Goldberg etc. I listened to his podcast with The Uso's also and they say how starstruck they when they went into the WWE locker room and Mark Henry and Goldust were there so Jericho has to one up them "Yeah I remember my first day in WCW and I went into the locker room and Hogan, Flair, Luger, Savage and Sting were in there". I'm sure the chance of those guys being in the locker room at the same time was slim to none.

I can't keep up with the Divas if they are face or heel anymore. I thought Summer Rae was a heel but this week on Superstars she was against Cameron and she was tagging the fans on her way in. Paige has turned face again and is on Nattie's side against the heel Bella Twins, Alicia Fox was a heel when she was going crazy when she lost a few months ago, she turned face because Paige turned on her and now she's a heel again because of some backstage segment with Naomi. Is this all because of Total Divas or are creative basically saying "Fuck it, she's can be a good guy for today".

If they make Borash the first person to pin EC3 then this company will sink to a new low and the worst thing is I reckon that's what will happen next week.

Listened to Jim Ross' recent podcast with Sean Waltman and really enjoyed it, actually I enjoyed his couple of episodes with Austin as well. He doesn't hold back about anything and will answer every question thrown at him rather than avoid the subject. 

Lawler started as a commentator on Superstars in December 1992. In the Rumble Heenan says that he's the best commentator on Superstars.

So I'm watching an old episode of Raw (Really Awesome Wrestling) from 1993 and enjoying the main event between Mr.Perfect and Rick Martel, they go into a commercial break and when it comes back on Mr.Perfect's music is playing and he won in the adverts!! Bloody hell! I was thinking it might have been a way to get people to download the WWE app but old on, the app didn't come out for another 20 years. I can't recall this happening before except for when Cesaro beat Kingston last year.

I enjoyed a lot of Jericho's run in WCW especially his feuds with Malenko, Rey and Juvi, he may not have been a main event player but he was wrestling in one of the top two wrestling promotions which a lot of trained wrestlers never got the chance to do. WCW signed him and gave him a chance and gave him a foot in the door for his so called dream move to the WWE. Jericho has always been one of my favourite wrestlers but he's just so far up his own ass these days.

Malenko was a genuine star in WCW, he was not at the top level but always just underneath. Saturn was a bad ass in WCW even when he was made to wear a dress after losing to Jericho but then he goes to WWE and was stuck with a mop.

I've never watched the Network and stayed on the live stream unless I'm watching a PPV or NXT because most of the time for me it's Total Divas that's on.

Watched the final episode the Monday Night Wars last night. I did enjoy parts of it but from the start I knew it would be basically WWE shitting on WCW. Chris Jericho is one talking head that always annoys me and it sucks because I was a huge fan of the guy. I get that WCW didn't make him a main event star but they signed him and gave him a chance to show what he could do to millions of people but he just loves kissing the WWE ass nowadays. I loved WCW, I enjoyed it in 1999 and still watched until the end, sure I didn't enjoy as much as WWE at that time but did anyone really? I feel the show could have used the talking heads better, especially Schiavone, DDP, Nash etc but they have Tyson Kidd, Ziggler, Natalya speaking, people who were just at that time fans like us but I guess they were given lines to say about WCW being inferior to WWE. Even when they mention the cruiserweights and how popular they were in WCW they still have to shit on WCW saying how they were made to look weak when facing a bigger wrestler. I'm not sure that Mysterio, Guerrero, Benoit and Malenko would have been top talents in WWE had they had gone there in 1995-1996 rather than WCW. They would have probably been getting squashed by Sid, Vader and Undertaker. I'll stop the ranting because anything WWE produces that features WCW will always just make it look like the evil company that tried to put Vince McMahon out of business but in the end the hero, the good guy, Vince McMahon prevails.

The missing Heyman podcast that Austin recently put up is superb.

 

Heyman takes ages answering some questions but if there is someone you want taking ages to answer questions its Paul Heyman.

Listened to this last night and loved it. When he was talking about calling the Wrestlemania 17 main event and how he knew how to get JR all pumped up was awesome. It's recorded not long after the Summerslam match between Cena and Lesnar, well worth a listen.

The last thing they would want is for Reigns to eliminate Ziggler last if they want to keep him face. I'd imagine them doing what they've done a lot of times in the past and keep him in the end with Big Show. I know it's a crappy scenario that's been done with Rock and Benoit in the past but this is WWE we're talking about. If Reigns is to win the Rumble then look at who he's feuding with on TV now, The Big Show, just like The Rock was in 2000 and that was 15 years ago. With Benoit eliminating Big Show last, well that was 11 years ago and no one's allowed to mention it. If they are going with Reigns then this is what they will do I think because if him and Bryan, Ambrose, Ziggler or even Wyatt end up being the final two then he's just going to end up being booed like Batista last year which ironically was against Reigns.

All bets are off with Sunny. She's got her flaps out online and was negotiating sending her actual poo to a troll who was pretending to be a girl online. There's no coming back from that. Honestly, whoever has her in the death pool, just stick with her.

I have her in the death pool! Hope I'm wrong though. I'd rather she sorted her self out rather than take a stupid amount of pills and end up dead on a bathroom floor in a cheap motel.

I just find it weird that WWE.com have put

"It’s not official yet, but it is expected that “Macho Man” Randy Savage will be announced tonight on Raw as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015, WWE.com has learned"

You'd think they would want to keep it under wraps until it was announced on Raw, official or not.
