…And an absolutely horrid logo to boot :/

To be fair I don't care what the logo looks like or whether it's on wordpress. The only time I ever went to the WWE Network site was to sign up and cancel. It has apps for android/ios and I believe others to follow.  I've never watched a full show on demand via a browser as far as I can remember. Only ever flicked through as prefer to watch on TV.

Also why on pivotshare I will only sub to Progress, RPW or ICW as they have apps and the browser viewing is chronic.

Flashy website/logo is all well and good but it's the content and the app (android or roku personally) experience that gets me to subscribe to any service.  No app and I don't even consider it...

Admittedly the ssl certificate (or lack of)  would stop me subbing at the moment

Interesting to see some of Scott Damores promotion along with some Smash Wrestling on there too.

It has to be in London. You can't put vidoes and graphics out with the branding and then not have it there.

PWInsider also reported the Network was live the other day when it clearly wasn't, and then a day later blamed it on "reports". They've been making up a lot of stories recently, so probably ignore them for a while.

They have also issued graphics/videos with the stars and stripes and Indian flags...

  3. #MakeImpactGreat - Inaugural Show Results

TORONTO | NASHVILLE – IMPACT Wrestling, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp., announced today the viewership results for its inaugural show that aired on PopTV on March 9, 2017.

Viewership on PopTV held steady week over week, but viewership on the IMPACT Wrestling YouTube channel and other social media outlets exploded, with new content attracting more than 2.4 million views through the weekend, an increase of more than 275% over the same period last week.

"We are thrilled to see this response from our fans. We wanted to deliver an on-screen product with a new energy that would captivate our audience. Early signs are that we are on the right track," said Jeff Jarrett, Chief Creative Officer for IMPACT Wrestling. "The new on-screen branding was matched with new graphics across all IMPACT Wrestling platforms. The thrilling and exciting new open to the show and the abundance of new content across all platforms, including digital, reflect the enthusiastic energy that Kevin Sullivan has brought with him in his return to the show as Vice President of Production."

During the week, IMPACT Wrestling also reached agreement with its partners in India to begin taping in India. On May 30 and May 31, episodes of IMPACT Wrestling will be taped in Mumbai to be aired in the four weeks leading up to Slammiversary. Discussions are now underway with local sponsors and promotions to launch a new show featuring local talent in association with the IMPACT Wrestling roster to be filmed in India commencing as early as Q4 2017.

"We are excited to be in a position to bring our show to our fans in India," said Ed Nordholm, president of IMPACT Wrestling. "This is an initial step in what we hope will become a regular part of our programming cycle, leading to live events in all of our key markets."

Mr. Nordholm also commented on management additions, noting that Scott D'Amore has agreed to join the company as Vice President of International Development, adding to his responsibilities on the creative team.

"International growth is a top priority for us and Scott will be a key member as we forge alliances with international partners to bring IMPACT Wrestling to these markets," said Mr. Nordholm. "Scott finalized a working agreement with the popular Japan-based promotion, Pro-Wrestling NOAH, this past weekend, and stars Moose, James Storm and Eddie Edwards travelled to Japan with him to compete in Yokohama at The Great Voyage 2017."

Scott D'Amore added: "I look forward to growing the brand on a worldwide level. In addition to this agreement with NOAH, we have reached an agreement with Crash Lucha, and I am actively working on other initiatives with local partners in Mexico, the United Kingdom and India."

The roster continues to grow and new faces will premiere on IMPACT Wrestling every Thursday night. We have already witnessed the debut of world-renowned star, Alberto El Patron, and an exciting new tag-team has burst on the scene named Reno Scum. Familiar fan favorites will also return to the IMPACT Zone in the coming weeks, including Karen Jarrett, Magnus, Matt Morgan and The Notorious LAX.

The app has now been rolled out to those in USA and Canada for $5 a month

Have you started paying for it yet?

    Would you? :)

Yes i would if i enjoyed watching it.  Same as i pay for Floslam (for Evolve), Progress and Southside.  With the exception of Southside, all the rest I could get via torrents the day after but if people dont pay, then they cant keep producing shows.  End of.

  5. On other matters, I subscribed for the tna on demand and the next day cancelled it before I forgot nearer the renewal date.....

It seems it cancels immediately. I don't have access for the rest of the month I paid for. When I click a video it goes to the screen to sign up even though I am logged in.

Not happy. No other on demand service does this and they aren't replying to my emails etc asking about it.

    Poor show.

One problem that may upset some is the press release states "UK & Republic of Ireland".  Spike isnt on the EPG in the Republic of Ireland.  You have to get it through the "add channels" option on satellite.  Its not available on cable as far as i know...

Will be on My5 on demand, something they did not have with Challenge.

TNA was on Challenge's on demand/catch-up service.  At least it was on Sky.

Weird thing with Spike in the UK is that they don't have a HD channel, so the original broadcast of the show is in SD.... but then when shows go up on Spike's catch-up on demand service, they ARE available in HD.  Like with Bellator, you're better off waiting a day for it to go up on demand than you are watching the original (given it's on a week's delay anyway...).

Its not on a week's delay.  Its the day after US Broadcast.

"New episodes of IMPACT Wrestling will premiere on Friday nights, quenching the appetite of U.K. fans to view IMPACT Wrestling within hours of the US premiere broadcast."

Personally I'm not fussed about HD for stuff like wrestling.  As long as the content is there, Im happy.  Stuff like Game of Thrones is different but not wrestling.  Although its very rare I watch anything live these days anyway.

Yup.  Not sure if thats available in Ireland though as the press release says.  I wouldnt be surprised if Viacom geo-block it outside the UK.

    So, what do we think?

Spike TV is on Freeview so a good deal tbh.

And on the Ch5 network so presumably we could expect to see some promotion on the main channel... April 21 is a Friday. Should we assume they'll go straight into that week's episode?

And also being part of the Channel 5 group of channels, its very likely it will also be on My5 - the on demand app.  Something they didnt have with Challenge..
