They're really missing a trick at Rumbles by not having a countdown end only for him to pick up a mic, stand on the announcers' desk and yell "I'm afraid I've got some bad news...." Imagine the pop!

As long as he doesn't have an orange singlet on and a head guard on....

This is the Mercedes Moné debut, right? I hope they do something other than either “lights go out, she appears in the ring” or “music hits at the end of the women’s match, out she comes.” I wish she actually had some vignettes in the run up. I miss vignettes for new people coming in. I can’t even remember the last time either company had those.

You're telling us something, we don't already know.

Don’t speak too loudly when talking about AEW having too many World Champion calibre performers. They may hear you and create yet another title.

It’s a nice problem to have. Swerve should absolutely be champion. But if Joe keeps it, I’m okay. If Hangman gets it first, sure thing. Ospreay as Champion? I could see it. Okada? From the way he’s been brought in, it makes sense.

And to think, last summer we were quite happy with the prospect of Adam Cole winning the belt at Wembley.

And not forgetting if/when MJF comes back, he's going to be after the title too. May not be the same level as the others, but he's another name to throw into the mix.

Barney is the only thing I'd change but I doubt that'll happen.

A few different games would be nice.

Bin Gauntlet as it seems like any time the Glads do anything other than a 'love tap' they are chucked out or contender is allowed into the next zone

I'd bid for that Oscars programme, I'd love to see that!

I've now got it in hand and to be totally Frank....its disappointing. Its a thick 'booklet' all very nice and that with all the nominations and that contained and Sam's signature on the front from 2016 ceremony. I'll get some pics of it and put them up.

Oh and tickets are now on sale for the draw:

Some of the prizes are listed on the GFM link but we have over 40 available to win and tickets are £5 each available through GoFundMe link below. Thank you for your generosity and support!

A very sad loss, he seemed like such a lovely bloke. His enthusiasm was contagious and he and Simon were such a wonderful duo and had a such a great dynamic, genuinely seemed like the best of friends. He will be very missed

We watched the Route 66 tour they did every night and even our then 11yr old who hates cooking and travel programmes was into it and loved it.

I love programmes like theirs where you can clearly see them having a great time and loving trying new dishes and cultures but much more genuine that quite a lot of other TV chefs.

Santa has a contingency plan for everything from no chimney to a child walking in on him to an elaborate mind melt where nobody believes a child's trauma after he's caught kissing the child's mother....... Wrestling wishes they could write a tweener like that.

Except for getting stuck in a chimney. You'd think he'd plan for that rather than just expecting random strangers to help him.

Darby Allin has written a Players Tribune article about Sting. I'm aware it's Darby Allin so I'm just posting the link for anyone who wants a mooch.

From that piece, the thing that sticks out the most:

I’ve been thinking about what a legacy is, and what a career is, and even what a life amounts to. For someone like Sting, it’s impossible to wrap your head around. The guy has been loved by literally millions of people, across five decades. He’s wrestled Ric Flair, who was born in 1949…. and Nick Wayne, who was born in 2005. There’s this hugeness to it that’s so insane. But what’s special about Sting I think is how he hasn’t let that hugeness define him. Moment to moment, person to person — he’s just lived his life, decided what’s important to him, and cared.

    ----

Sting sounds like just a genuinely good bloke trying to do his best for the business and industry and change perception of what pro wrestling is all about

  12. Saw a clip of Flair in ring....Christ almighty someone fly him to Switzerland and put us all out of our misery! Absolutely abysmal and not even a speck of his former self, let alone a shadow.

I've seen old men bed bound at my care home look more threatening than Flair!
