  1. Some people may say she shouldn't be fired. But let's put it in perspective.  I don't know about the USA but in the UK its common to be sacked for racism. If its the same in the US then its not unreasonable to sack her.

Really didn't care about Jack Perry too much before, but he's great in this role, as are the Bucks.

I really hope Willow wins. Mercedes won't lose anything and can easily get her heat back but Willow is an absolute star and a win could really catapult her.

I think this is the best version of the Bucks in aew. I really hate them which is what is supposed to happen. For me they are like heel mjf.  You hate them but know they are good and respect them.

Good to see the crowd cheer when willow put mercedes through the table. Unfortunately if mercedes does turn heel it may because she cheats to win. Either that or willow wins and mercedes attacks her after. Which I hope is what happens as I don't want to see willow loose. I really really hope willow doesn't cheat to win and turn heel

  3. Bryan Danielson has nothing to do with the story but I don't care. Its bryan Danielson and hopefully we get to hear him say "I'm gonna kick his fucking head in"

I was really exited about mercedes mone joining aew but what does she do exactly?

Bad promos and a dance. I think some wrestlers really struggle with promos that aren't written for them and she is one of them.

Willow is brilliant though. My favourite female wrestler by a mile. I think it's actually really hard to pull of that happy babyface character but she does it. It just seems like its her real personality. I really hope she isn't turned heel. Perhaps she wins and mone attacks her after turning heel. Because I wouldn't want to see willow loose the title

  4. Serena deeb is a strange one. When I first watched her I didn't understand why she hadn't had a more successful career. However its fairly obvious she is very bad at promos and connecting to the audience. I personally think she would be better of being a heel with a manager doing the talking. Eventually over time people would like her but I really don't see her as championship material

I may be wrong, but I’m getting the impression from this that WWE was not your entry point to wrestling, is that the case?

I watched wwe from about 99-2003. Then for from about 2007 for a few years. Now I watch aew and wwe sometimes.

I also like to watch wrestling on YouTube. Doesn't really matter which promotion just like good matches.

  6. Don't normally watch wwe but watched smackdown this week. That atmosphere was amazing. One thing I've noticed about wwe is the matches are quite short. However sometimes it seems like wwe know when to end it. It's great to have long matches but sometimes aew does to many of them.

La Knight is great really like him.

I hold the strong belief that Osprey should beat Swerve for the belt at Wembley and then defend it against Danielson at All Out the following week. He's their top babyface now and needs a coronation

Swerves title has come at the wrong time. I don't see aew waiting a year to give osprey the title. But he will probably want to win it at Wembley. I would feel sorry for swerve but its not that he's done anything wrong it's just osprey is just ridiculously good

Even more so if Danielson made it clear it would likely be his last match too...

Speaking personally I didn't love the SS match from in the stadium as a lot of the backstage/out of sight stuff was not seen,.but watching it back on TV where they could jump from skirmish to skirmish made it much better.

Where where you sat? I watched most of it on the big screen anyway. I tell you what I would love to see. A ladder match. They could do one for the women's championship match on the same night. I don't know if Jamie hayter could make all in but it would be great

Although he did turn babyface before leaving, he was a heel when he really featured in AEW - meaning it would have been harder for you to form that connection, to be fair.

But either way, you can point to countless examples of wrestlers thriving after changing landscape. I’d point to Steve Maclin, PAC and Naomi as recent examples, and looking further back you could add Gail Kim, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley to that list. He’s certainly not been diminished during his time in AEW, so I think he has a good opportunity to make an impact somewhere.

I don't know. Personally there are heels that still know they are good and feel a connection to them. Mjf for example. Maybe some people don't but I do personally. I hope he does well though. I think it's sad when a wrestler doesn't work out in a company and people want them to fail. I do think he's  the kind of wrestler that would look great in the independent scene so if he goes to tna he would still be able to do that and I might get to see him live.

I'm not sure they played to his strengths or gave him as much consistency as he could've had, but all comes down to personal opinion really. I do think sometimes they struggle in that area because of so many people on board.

Yeah I mean a lot of it is personal opinion. I never felt any kind of connection to him but perhaps others did.

  11. Wrestling tickets are generally very expensive in general I find. To go to all in the lower tier is over £100. Rev pros anniversary shows cheapest tickets are over £30 I think. Although their tickets for just ordinary shows are under £20 and if it was local to me I could afford to go to 2 shows a month.

Page has a strong upside. Shame he was wasted. You'd think over three shows and some online stuff they could've invested some better time in him.

I really think he was given a fair chance personally. I think at best he will go to nxt or the lower card of one of the main shows. I don't think we will be looking back in 5 years or so and thinking aew really missed out. But time will tell I could be wrong

Ethan Page joining WWE isn't a bad shout, I could see him with LA Knight as a super over tag team.

He didn't really work for me. I think you have to do more of your own promo work in aew. In wwe he would have more people helping him I think. He's athletic he just lacked that connection to the crowd I think

If 5 stars is perfect then I'm not really sure what any rating above that means. Especially when you're getting into 6 1/2 territory. What makes something 6 and a half in comparison to 5?

Not that it matters at all really.

I don't think 5 is perfect. Meltzer made the rating system then I'm guessing matches came along that he thought deserved more than 5 stars. I'm pretty certain he has admitted its his own opinion only

  15. Dave meltzer awarded the Danielson v osprey match 6 1/2 stars which is his second highest ever rating. I'm sure there are a few trolls saying it's only because osprey was in it but I think most would agree it was a fantastic match

I do. I find it decent value for money as you can watch live or on demand immediately after it's finished and you get no ads (and the picture in picture is just regular picture) as well as access to every Dynamite, Collision, Dark and Dark Elevation as well.

    Do you get ppvs included?

  17. I think most of the influential matches would be in aew. When I used to watch wwe is didn't really understand the dynamics of wrestling and how it really worked.

I think the young bucks v page and omega was my favourite aew match up until osprey v Danielson the other day.  Since them I have become a big fan of tag team wrestling.

I think recently I learned what makes a match food but also the subjective nature of wrestling. I saw the triple h v undertaker match from wrestlemania and I didn't like it. Its generally considered a very good match. But I personally didn't like it. Its not that I'm wrong or anyone is wrong Its just personal taste. If you like that kind of style you probably would really like it.

One match that is influential for me was arcade anarchy a few years ago. I think had that match had a better story behind it and had it been with some bigger names it would have been more highly regarded. So it shows how important the story behind wrestling is

  18. Out of interest did people on the forum hate jericho before the allegations were made? I wasn't on it then.

I would hate to loose hook to wwe. I don't know if he'd really fit into wwe either. He'd need a manager or something with him in wwe. Where as in aew it works fine.

  19. I thought the Dustin v Joe match was actually pretty good. Although I didn't like the end. Joe should have won clean. Don't entirely get the point in why they did it, I guess it's because cody was challenging for the world title but it seemed a bit odd.
