  1. I will find the audio and video of Russo making that challenge. This is Cornette responding to it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDG9Iu0CYbE

Of course he keeps talking about Skype, Skype and webcams. It was nothing to do with it. Jim Cornette loves wrestling so much surely he would go for the Cauliflower Alley Club? All the wrestlers that are retired, many who have health problems, many can't even pay their bills. Russo said surely Cornette wouldn't say no to this, he loves them that much right? He goes there every year for the big dinner and talks with them all. Why wouldn't he want to raise money for charity infact the big story at the time Russo made the challenge was poor Kamala living in a basement with no legs. Surely Cornette wouldn't want Kamala getting that money? But of course Cornette makes it sound like a skype conversation or a podcast conversation when infact it was a live event, filmed on iPPV with Sean Oliver and Kayfabe Commentaries who both men have worked with many times. The only provision Russo had was that out of the money raised, they would pay Sean Oliver for his flights and the camera crew and pay for the room they would hold the face to face confronation in so that it wasn't costing them any money, the rest would go to the Cauliflower Alley Club and at $10 a pop they would have raised plenty.

As Russo says many times, wrestlers are actors. They are actors. Even Brock Lesnar is an actor, they do what they are told to do. Bill Goldberg was earning millions at WCW, they would never have fired him so that's why after all those conversations about turning him heel, in catering that day it came to a head, he was huffing and puffing across the table and Russo said to him, if you're gonna hit me hit me and get it over with. Russo's not gonna win a fight with Bill Goldberg, he's gonna end up with a sore face or a broken nose or broken jaw. He was right to say that. If you're gonna hit me hit me. No different than what any other man would do in real life. If it happened to you in real life and you were talking calmly to someone and you could see them getting angry with you what would you do? I know what I would do, I know what most people in Glasgow would do. You want to fight me? Hit me? Come ahead then, I'll let you get the first shot in and then whatever happens. That's the truth.

    And what about this.

    screenshot_20170608-013043.jpg?w=600&h=2

That's another reason Jim is angry.

    Dreams!

Let's talk about dreams. And i'll include you lot in this cause I'm sure amongst you lot some of you had ambition at some point in your lives, maybe it was a long time ago but you had it. I'm talking about normal people. What are dreams? For most people it's getting a good job. At least £300 a week in wages. A nice house. A nice woman. Some kids. A few holidays abroad per year. Being happy. Having good friends and a social life. Having hobbies. Wanting to wake up every day basically. Waking up and wanting to get up.

    But this?

Wrestling is a joke Jim. It is. Grown men talking like that about a make believe TV show is something to laugh about. I'm a wrestling fan myself for 30 years. I don't care about the wrestlers or the companies. It's TV. It's free TV. It passes the time. That's all it is. But these people, they take it way too seriously. My life is neither up nor down depending on what happens on a wrestling show.

And as far as calling me a troll or this phrase "don't feed the troll", ffs it's nearly 7 o'clock at night. Go and feed your kids or your wife or something. Don't sit and argue with me over wrestling. Go and read the kids a bedtime story, go and help the wife wash the dishes, if you're single and have no kids then ffs get on the dating sites and start meeting people. Come on. You're only alive once. One and done. Don't waste your life calling me names about a make believe TV show. Time to get out and meet people and start living life.

  2. But that's the whole point, he didn't like what he was being told to do and was huffing and puffing and that's why he said to him, if you're gonna hit just me get it over with. Do any of you do that at work? Do any of you start huffing and puffing and acting tough when you're told to do something you don't want to do? No you don't.

At Wrestlecon last year Vince Russo walked up to Lance Storm, another guy that bad mouths him all the time and said to him I'm sorry you hate me but I was always a fan of yours. Lance sat there with the people that was with him and said nothing. The only thing between them was a table of 8x10 photos. Lance Storm said nothing to his face, the only other one at the convention was Jim Duggan and for whatever reason Jim Duggan left at lunch time and Russo couldn't get to him prior to that. He didn't know he was only there for so long. They don't do nothing to your face and that coulda been settled easily. Bill Goldberg coulda got a hold of Russo in the parking lot, at the hotel, coulda dragged him down a street where no one would see and beat him up. Lance coulda done the same thing and said meet me outside where no will see. They didn't do it cause they're wrestlers. They are paranoid.

  3. Isn't that true though? If a man has something to say to you they should say it to your face and Cornette leaves out a lot of important things, yes Russo invited him on his podcast and he did with Bischoff and he would go on theirs but the debate he is talking about was meant to be face to face. Russo asked Sean Oliver of Kayfabe Commentaries to organise an event with him and Cornette where they would be standing face to face and Jim could say everything he's said behind his back to his face and then Russo could give his reply. It was meant to be on iPPV for $10, all the money going to the Cauliflower Alley Club for the retired wrestlers who have no pension or medical insurance that could really use the money and of course Jim loves that. Jim loves all those wrestlers doesn't he so why not give them some money? But Jim mentions Skype, like a webcam, it was always face to face and the offer is still there. I'm sure most of you know Kayfabe Commentaries, they do tons of good shoot interviews and are very professional, much  better than RF Video.

And all these things Jim says and Bischoff says have never been said in real life. From 1995 through October 1999 Jim Cornette never once said any of this to Russo, Russo worked at TNA for 10 years, not a word said. Bischoff never said a word at WCW or TNA. What Russo says about wrestlers and wrestling people is true. They don't say anything to your face. A wrestler isn't going to hit you. He told Bill Goldberg when he wanted to turn him heel if you're gonna hit me when they were in catering. What did Goldberg do? Nothing. Cause wrestlers and stooges never do anything. They walk around paranoid, paranoid they might lose their money, lose their job, they don't do or say anything in real life. Why didn't he say or do anything all these years?

And is that not what all of you would do in real life? If someone threatened to hit you wouldn't you tell them to go ahead and do it? If someone had something to say about you and in Cornettes case months back, his daughter and wife and sons wouldn't you tell that person to say it to your face? Of course you would, if you were a real man you would.

And Russo is right, Jim should be angry. He used to laugh with McMahon in McMahon's kitchen at Jim's 1970s wrestling ideas. He replaced Jim at the WWF for 5 years. He worked at TNA with his friend Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel, Dixie Carter got rid of them and kept Russo, 10 years he worked there. Jim should be angry losing his job twice. What about Bischoff? He got sent home 1999 and replaced by Russo, why? Cause the WWE was doing so well. Wouldn't any of you feel the same way if you lost your jobs to someone else? Course you would so they should be angry but be men, say it face to face. And I think Cornette talking of suicide and months back about Russos daughter was out of line, then again I know him and his wife don't have kids, I don't know if there's medical issues there and maybe she can't have kids, then again some people don't want kids but I found that very odd indeed. And he's right about the wrestling business being a joke. It is. Cornette and Bischoff always wanted to work in it, Russo got a job in it cause his video stores weren't making any money because of Blockbuster video. Imagine that. Imagine losing your job to someone who didn't even wanna be there. Literally walking in off the street and they end up doing your job better than you. Of course they're bitter.  They are  lifers. Lifers in the wrestling business.

  4. Sit your family members and friends down to WWE Raw and I will put money on every single one of them seeing Samoa Joe as nothing more than a fat little man. Just like Kevin Owens. That is what a real regular man or woman think. I will put money on it. They're not gonna give 10 seconds let alone 10 minutes of their time to sitting watching him talk or wrestle because it simply is not believable and neither is Lesnar. Lesnar standing there while Heyman does the same exact promo is not believable.

You do realise that the people that watch UFC and MMA don't watch wrestling right?

And likewise wrestling fans don't watch MMA or UFC. Wrestling fans don't watch real sports. They don't.

People that want to watch people get really hurt can watch MMA or boxing. People that watch wrestling or lets the vast majority of people that watch wrestling want to be entertained. Look at the WWE Roster. Fat guys and midgets and just in general ugly people that don't even belong on TV. There's no man on there that a woman would want to shag and the women? Apart from Lana maybe Alexa? The rest? Maybe if you're into certain types of women I guess you'd maybe go for a Sasha Banks or a Bayley. Even Stephanie McMahon with her manly voice and the big shoulders.....what man finds her attractive? All covered up, and the marks? They love that. I guarantee you if Alexa Bliss or Lana knocked on fan's doors in a dressing gown the fans would tell them to put their clothes back on and fake fight lol. They wouldn't even get their dick hard, they wouldn't know what to do with their dick hard or where to put it. That's the marks for you. That's the millennials for you.

  5. Woah woah woah wait a minute ^^^^^^^^ What you're wanting is some kind of pro wrestling show. Don't you know the times have changed? People don't want professional wrestling anymore, they want plain wrestling matches with regular looking guys. That's what everyone wants, the other 7 million people in America that watched wrestling 15 years ago all watch it on their phones and tablets now, fake fighting with regular people that's what they want not this pro wrestling stuff with stories and soap opera and characters and such.

30 minute fake fights! That's what the millions watching on their phones and tablets want. That's what Triple H said so it must be true.

    Scotswizard has the network

The women's match isn't getting shit on cos it's a gimmick match, strictly speaking the main event was a gimmick match, it was shit cos it was a poorly put together match that drained Bayley of credibility she sorely needed to hang on to. The audible boos for Bayley say it all really. As someone who was basically a super fan of her only 2 years ago, to not give a shit now is sad.

On a pole matches ARE always shit but that's beside the point. This could've been less shit than it was.

    I don't have the network.

It's a way to fill time. There are 5 hours of WWE on TV a week not counting NXT or Main Event. THey have fill time some way and doing a pole match is one way of doing something different. Obviously the feud will continue.

  7. I always liked Rich Swann once he starts wrestling but not too fond of his gimmick.

Typical IWC not liking gimmick matches, Kendo Stick On A Pole was at least something different than just a straight wrestling match.

Not keen on Samoa Joe VS Lesnar but that's more a case of me never being a fan of Samoa Joe, I never got him in TNA and from what I've seen of him in WWE I still don't really get his gimmick and what he's really about. I understand he's meant to be this angry Samoan but he's not done enough to convince me that him fighting Lesnar is a match he could win.

  8. This guy knows how to do it. I wish I knew the right name, they always do it in the Indian dance videos.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-9KNA8QVNY

I think when Jinder turns face he should be accompanied to the ring by at least 30 Indian women and they should all do that head wiggle dance and lots of glittery things fall from the ceiling and he gets all the wrestling fans in the audience to join in on the dancing. Imagine 15,000 wresting fans in the arena all doing that head wiggle dance, it will be the new THIS IS AWESOME. They could even get a little guy playing the Sitar or the harp on the stage for the big solo in the middle.

  9. What I love about this is it's really for die hard Twin Peaks fans, it's die hard Twin Peaks, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire, Lost Highway all rolled into one. I highly doubt anyone that hasn't watched the TV series and movie would understand the show. The book Mark Frost wrote also has a lot to do with it, that's where the glass box came from for example and it's full of stuff like the Roswell conspiracy and tons of other stuff. I've no doubt this is David Lynch and Mark Frost just going out with a bang and I hope more stuff from the book makes it into the show, the book already told us what happened to many of the characters but if they add in all the conspiracy stuff it will be great, illuminati, aliens, monsters, other dimensions, everything! lol

  10. Wrestlers need to look the part on TV. They need to be larger than life, they need to look good, they should be in shape, they should be well built and yes I would prefer them to be tall. They need to look believable. You need to believe that they could beat you up for real, that when they say they wanna fight you believe it. What about George The Animal Steele? Jake Roberts? Not big muscle heads by any means but they look like they could hurt you. One chews the turnbuckles and one carries a snake in his bag. Best of both worlds. Randy Savage was the same. The music, the outfits, the posing and over the top way he would speak which no one would ever do in real life, yet he looked the part, he looked like a big burly man that could hurt you if he wanted to. Wrestling can and has played both sides for many years. And believable? I believed everything they did.

So wrestling absolutely can be over the top and glitzy and wacky and still be entirely believable that these men and women dislike each other and they really are fighting it out in the ring.

  11. I never said it did make it better but the fact is it's on at night time and night time is when adults watch TV and if you're gonna put a wrestling show on where no one swears, no one bleeds, no one sells any moves then you might aswell put it on at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. It's not child's play. WWE sticks out like a sore thumb compared to other programming. It's not that all those things make the show better but if you're not a wrestling fan how long are you gonna watch it before changing the channel? Scripts or no scripts listen to the wrestlers, no one talks like that in real life. Stories? There are none. It's just angry wrestler A vs angry wrestler B.

You're absolutely right about the best TV shows in the world having the best stories ever written. You are 100% right on the money. It is about the stories and wrestling used to be about stories. Wrestling used to be about 2 people disliking each other for reasons other than a belt or just showing up to the arena angry. I don't think anyone in the McMahon family including Triple H has any clue as to what is on TV nowdays. Not a clue. I think their jaws would drop if they seen if they what was on TV at the same time as Raw and the kind of things that can be done on TV now. People today are smarter than ever. TV is arguably where the best actors are, where the best writing is, TV used to be a step down from the big screen, now the small screen is where the action is so you imagine all those millions of people with Sky or cable and then add Netflix onto it and then you watch WWE or TNA and it's like  a time warp, it just doesn't fit in anymore, people are so used to such high quality on TV that mainstream wrestling just doesn't  cut it anymore and I've no doubts that if mainstream wrestling embraced the entertainment again, embraced the pantomime aspects of wrestling and focused on big characters, big storylines, over the top stuff that is so fantastical they absolutely could draw in large numbers of viewers, that's what TV should be about, big larger than life characters, stories that twist and turn. It should be like that. It doesn't need to be completely based in reality, it should be like a soap opera, like a movie but the WWE wants to go the other way and the more they go the other way the more people stop watching. That's not pro wrestling.

  12. Of course it does, that lets them see what is on TV at the same time as Raw and how other shows handle their characters and the things they do and the way they act and speak. The WWE changing the way their wrestlers act and speak would absolutely improve the show.

  13. sj it's real simple and of course Russo said it best.

It's like Sesame Street. If you divide the TV screen into 4 squares and you put Ambrose, Rollins, Owens and Lesnar on there even a 3 year old child would point to Lesnar as being the odd one out out. It's like trying to fit the triangle into the square hole. It doesn't work. A child knows it doesn't make sense. The average TV viewer at home does not buy into it. It's the same with actors. Singers. Bands. Entertainers. The ones that do well are the ones that look the part. When you see them you know they are a somebody, even if you don't know the job they do you can just TELL by looking at them, this person is a somebody, they don't look like me, they don't dress like me, they don't CARRY themselves like me or anyone else. This person is a somebody. Wrestling is the same way.

And the problem today is that far too many of them don't have any experience, not just wrestling experience but life experience. Most of you on here will have more life experience than half that roster. Relationships, friendships, mortgages or rent, education, most of you on here will have more experience of those aspects of life than half that roster and it comes across. Finn Balor comes across like a young boy. Most of them look like young boys. They don't look like men. No one shouts or swears. Real people raise their voice when they are angry, real people swear and if you are an adult with any kind of life experience under your belt you know that. You can see that. You can tell me otherwise because you don't like me but you know it's true. I know exactly what most of your families or friends would think and say OUT LOUD if they seen the New Day on your TV or Kevin Owens or any of these other ones that are on there. You know that and I know that. That's how obvious it is. You don't even need to be a wrestling fan or even know ANYTHING about wrestling to look at the screen and say....shite. A load of shite. Most of the country would take a look and after 5 seconds say shite, cause it is shite just like the 3 year old could point to Brock Lesnar, the 3 year old knows the rest are shite. It's just a natural born instinct we all have to call bullshit and that's what most people have done with wrestling for years now and that's why the numbers are so low.

The only way around it that I can even fathom is if you are a young woman or young man in your early 20s and this is a new faze for you. Wrestling is a new thing in your life and you don't know any better and all you have for references is friends, the millennials in which case you'll be used to that. You'll be used to little 5'7 boys with beards and women at 5 foot nothing, that's your life anyway so when you sit down for 5 hours of WWE a week that to you will be exactly what you want to see, a clone of your real life but for the rest of us, for people like myself anyway and I think I absolutely speak for casual fans and casual TV viewers for that matter, when we watch wrestling, it takes a lot for us to settle into it. You need people that look believable, that act believable and look the part and that just doesn't exist anymore outside of Cena, Orton and Reigns. But if you're young enough or new to it enough that stuff wont matter and of course I'll be the enemy and I'm this and I'm that and I don't know what I'm talking about and the numbers say everything anyway. Less people than ever are watching. If the numbers were going the other way then absolutely I'm an idiot and every other name I get called on here but they're not and that's that.

  14. And the Raw rating keeps getting lower, very sad to see indeed but not surprising at all, the programming is terrible, no star power at all and nothing but boring wrestling matches.

I think the McMahon family would do good to one day a week, any day, sit at home for the night and have their remote in their hand and just flick through the channels. From 8pm till 11pm when Raw and Smackdown are on, just flick through the channels and take a good look at what is on at that time of night. Go through the movie channels, your FOX's, your Sky Atlantics etc, have a good look at what is on TV at that time and listen to the language the actors use and look at what some shows do with violence and of course sexuality and when they're done doing that try and see why people aren't watching wrestling anymore.

Put Raw and Smackdown where they belong, 4 in the afternoon when the kids come out of school and have it finish at 6 in time for the family dinner and the kids to do their homework. TV after 8 oclock is for adults, not this childish wrestling nonsense. It's like a time warp. When you see what else is on at the same time as Raw and Smackdown it's unbelievable.

  15. At least Jinder looks the part. He looks like a wrestler. He doesn't look like the local fat guy walking around the streets at half 9 in the morning cause he's unemployed and waiting for his girlfriend to bring him his breakfast back from the local cafe after dropping the kids at school.

He looks the part. He acts the part.

  16. And the bad ratings continue this week, only up 55,000.

    Rollins Vs Lesnar?

    Samoa Joe Vs Lesnar?

It's not even believable. They might aswell do Finn Balor Vs Brock aswell then for the hat trick. 3 guys that most people could take in a real life are going against Brock? And Brock has to act stupid, he has to fall around the ring while they get their "indy shit" in and try and look hurt. I suppose the marks will like it.

  17. We don't get any of those prices in Glasgow.

Then again Glasgow is one of the best cities in the UK, I can understand why the prices haven't been lowered. Speaking of B&M, what a Pick N Mix they have. The one in my local is behind a wire rack and it's facing down the aisle. You've no idea how many blocks of fudge and fizzy strawberries I eat before filling my tub up. Then the milk cola bottles if they have them. Great stuff. Then you have your 3 cans of Pepsi for £1, The cinemas can't compete, I'd support them if they were smaller chains run by regular people but it's all these big companies and it's all about money. To this day I still can't believe what I'm seeing, grown men and women standing in line like cattle waiting on their overpriced hot dogs and ice cream. I could understand if they had kids, maybe the kids want a day out and it's pay day and you want to treat the family but all those morons that wait to pay £7.50 for a drink and popcorn and £3.50 for a wee tub of ice cream, go and sort your life out. Go and look in the mirror and get your priorities in order and stop giving them that kind of money for ice cream and drinks and it's over £3 for a hot dog. People these days have too much money.
