  1. I started doing 5:2 almost a decade ago and it’s the only thing that ever worked for me, because I love to eat and the idea of tracking everything I eat for the rest of my life fills me with horror!
I didn’t have any major health problems but I was chunky and as im petite it really showed. Now I’m not.
typically on my fast days, I’ll eat one small meal at 6pm and that’s it.

Its  sort of bled over into the ‘5’ as I was always told you must eat breakfast but honestly I’m rarely hungry until 11 or so, and at that point just hold out to lunch-most days I end up fasting from 7/8/9pm dinner to lunchtime the next day.  I also rarely snack.
They say there are health benefits too (like your body repairs itself while you fast), but im no expert on that- only that this method works well for me.

Not familiar with Skylet Storey, but it depends whether or not Vanessa Borne wants to stay in wrestling as to whether or not she could add to AEW. Since Tay Conti went there she’s improved massively, perhaps Borne could do the same but like I say, depends on whether or not she wants to stay in the industry or not.

Tay just put Borne over as a great worker and someone she wants to wrestle on Twitter so I’d say that’s a good shout.

Skyler is dating Janella but also looks to have a decent side gig from Patreon/selling pics etc. Shes still young but there are so many opportunities between Dark/elevation I could see that too.

  3. I’m 40 two weeks today! Can’t believe it- certainly not where I expected to be at 40 (single, no kids, still spend most of my disposable income on wrestling yada yada).

My good friend was also 40 this month and we’re fortunate enough to be able to take a domestic trip, though I doubt I’ll be lucky enough to have a pint with Eunice, that’s amazing!!

  4. Got my 2nd jab this week, no side effects other than sleeping for 10 hours that night!
We were told to drink a ton of water that day and night and that seemed to help.
Sadly I’m on health kick so couldn’t justify a Tuesday  Maccy Ds after but did have a homemade chicken sarnie.

I never liked Mojo Rawley, but I'd give him points for trying. The lad seemed to throw himself into every idea he was pitched, and for three weeks before they'd give up on it, he'd at least try whatever weird shit they suggested. He just wasn't much. Won the Andre Battle Royal. Madness.

I think Mojo also did a lot of work with the Saudi relationship, having family from that area (speaking some Arabic, I assume). That’s kind of ground to a halt due to covid though which didn’t help.

Gutted about Billie. Couldn’t wrestle for toffee but I found her utterly charming!

  6. I was a little underwhelmed about attending given my lack of interest in WWE product rn but since it was 20 minutes away and I have friends very enthusiastic about it, bit the bullet.

For me, the two night thing took away from the spectacle. Was blown away- quite literally by the storm- by the set on night 1. Night 2 just felt like more of the same. I’d love them to just keep it to 4 hours for a single night but I think that ship has sailed. I’ve never known weather like this in April! Friday was perfect, we sat in my friends outdoor restaurant all afternoon, went to a parking lot show, couldn’t believe the change.

Things I enjoyed- booing hogan, the roster gathered on the ramp, pyro, omos dominance, the lovely off air Randy n Liz esque Bianca/Montez celebration, Randy’s white trunks, massive pop for Edge and Roman ending the show.

Re Covid, Florida has largely been open for business since last June, though obviously massive events like this have been rare (Super Bowl etc). Seating was in PODs so no one in the row in front or behind and two or three empty seats between each party. Masks were required but once inside adherence was less so (I counted 22 naked faces of the 82 I passed when coming back from a drink). I think being an outdoor event and the strong winds help from what I understand. There were definitely moments where fans were bunched up together in line for merch but that was easy enough to avoid- who wants to be close to a most of that lot anyway!

Will it end up being a super spreader event? Obviously, I hope not (I personally have been vaccinated, my friends chose not to).

  7. I was at the ICW no holds barred show last night.

He arrived about 2/3 through the event and was inside with his entourage for a while chatting to people and then walked outside freely.
I could be totally off base, but the suggestions that he was  ‘thrown out’ were not how it looked to me (this video took place after the event was over).

More fool any woman who competes in the Royal Rumble next year to earn a Wrestlemania title shot. Just turn up and challenge the champion three weeks before.

2 champions though. Who challenges the other one?

We got tickets last night. I’m not overly excited but we’re 20 minutes away so here we are. Hopefully I’ll get the jab beforehand!

  9. Easter egg chocolate is the best! Oddly it’s really not a thing here in the states (the commercial Mars/Rolo branded big eggs) but I’m hoping I can get one from the British gift shop.

Otherwise mam will have to save me one for next time I’m home.  She must still have my 2020 egg, right...?

Were any/many WWF pre 1997 UK shows taped ?

There’s a few on the network UK rampage 91 through 94 sort of timeframe if that’s what you’re looking for.  (I loved rampage 93 filmed in Sheffield back in the day)

  11. Inspired by this thread, I watched capital carnage last night (discovered my ex didn’t log out of the network last time he was over, score!).
Saw it in person and remember more the experience of traveling to London- perhaps for the first time- and my debit card being eaten by the train station atm on that Sunday - than I do the wrestling!

It was a stacked card for a UK exclusive, though certainly Vince’s promo has aged a bit , especially the end line about the future UK leader being of Pakistani heritage, right as Tiger Ali Singh came out, yowza.

anyway, Thankyou for inspiring me on a trip down 90s nostalgia.

You just know that if the network launched as an add-on to Sky or Netflix over here, within a week the most watched shows would be random Papa Shango and Ultimate Warrior matches from 1992.

During the first lockdown my ex and I binged watched wrestling superstars from 1992. Although I’d seen the ppvs Is never seen the weekly shows and they were so fun!

  13. I think if you’re watching on tv, 2 nights is a fair shout.

going live though-means either choosing one night and not knowing what matches you’ll see, or paying double. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

NFL has had fans at the RJ stadium for a while (limited capacity).

NXT has fans (tickets are free) but you have to respond to an email invite and they’re gone within minutes. Need to test day before in Orlando, which is why I haven’t bothered.

  14. Same.
Had contact with someone Friday who tested positive so a couple of weeks isolation for me.

Hopefully I can focus on some work deliverables I’ve been putting off and go hardcore on the home workouts!
