I was just saying to my mate it's time's like this I'm so grateful to be living in the UK because imagine being a fan of the UFC and being forced to fork out $60/$70 for that piss poor PPV card. I know they are in a unusual situation with the whole covid situation but it's like they have just given up trying to put together good PPV cards and they have now got into the mindset of relying on the main event to shift sales. I am going to be incredibly interested in how many sales this shifts
Yeah its not great for this PPV but the next two are fantastic and will be stacked up so I'm not too fussed plus sometimes the unfancied event ends up being a banger.

I was down a rabbit hole on Youtube and ended up watching a few different UFC promos - UFC 200, 205, 214, 217 mainly but I forgot how great they are.
The Jones vs DC 2 promo is probably the greatest one they have ever done though in my opinion.

The biggest problem however was that only 2 of the 30 in the men's Rumble were under the age of 30. That's a huge problem going forward. In 5 years who are going to be the guys to be the top guys and with the Peacock deal at 200 million a year and the brand being bigger than the wrestlers mentality, WWE television is going to be very meh in the next decade.
Who were the 2? I'm guessing Dominick has to be one.
That is very worrying though.

Nothing’s been confirmed yet but Dana said over the weekend that the plan is Zhang vs Rose Namajunas next somewhere in Asia. If not Rose, he said it’ll probably be Carla Esparza. Hopefully it’s Rose.
Carla Esparza main eventing or even challenging for a title sounds one of the least appealing fights of all time.
Obviously Zhang should be smashing her but there's always a chance.

Woke up at half 5 and found a stream just in time for the main event, man Poirier got it done!
Just seen the Chandler fight, fairplay didn't expect a quick KO like that.

So the press conference did have fans & it was pretty much a carbon copy of the Conor vs Cowboy press conference.
The reported quite respectfully I thought asking Conor about the new allegations/police report that has just come out and having the fans in attendance boo the reporter and Conor himself looked really pissed off with him asking about it but come on now let's be fucking honest he has had so many sexual assault allegations be pointed at him over the past 3 years and he has got away with it pretty fucking smoothly when it comes to doing interviews and press and them not mention it or act like it's happening. I don't think for 1 minute that reporter was out of line or overstepping the mark.Yeah didn't really get the whole booing thing either to be fair.
Watching the presser I find Dan Hooker really likeable for some reason.
Most hyped fight of the weekend is Dana vs illegal streamers, I wonder what he's got planned for them.

Is it just me but is anyone not that excited for the McGregor fight? Back in 2014-2017 it was such a highlight but this time fighting abroad which can't be helped and Conor being all respectful makes it a bit boring to be honest. I think it's because we know what Conor is really like that it's hard to get into one of his fights the same but he's obviously a very exciting fighter in the cage.

Bit madness they've released all three events at once. Might try to go next year again in Texas if things pick up abit but I said that last year!
I'm guessing WM40 will be New York again?

What a class show, Max Holloway take a fucking bow.

LOL what a shitty tease. The whole announcement is basically "these guys gotta go out there and impress Khabib enough to come back".
I'm guessing they are hoping for a Mcgregor KO to get the rematch but christ who wants to see that again? I like bad blood in a rivalry but not when its that personal that it stops being fun.

I'm pretty stoked for the card tonight, I love the fact there is normally UFC cards every week but normally when there's a mini break and they come back with an absolute banger it's so much better. I was going to watch Leicester vs Southampton but the main card looks way better than that.

Going back to the Nate Diaz return fight discussion...
With Nick supposedly fighting this year aswell you don't reckon they would have them both fight on the same card?

Breaking report from Combate's
: Cody Garbrandt is out of his bout against Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 255 and is being replaced by Alex Perez. Perez was scheduled to face Brandon Moreno at the event.
Not Ideal that.

Wow. Gaethje just fucking brought it to Ferguson, that was brutal to watch, he just took him apart. Man, we're not gonna get Ferguson vs Khabib, but fuck me if Gaethje can fight like that against Khabib then its gonna be a barn burner.
He was absolutely brilliant to be fair, well deserved. I don't get how Ferguson took that many of those shots, unreal.

I wonder if they will hook the whole show now, I seen a video of Jacare laughing and joking with Werdum and others.
I really hope not because after watching the countdown, embedded etc I'm pretty hyped but safety is more important.
If it does happen I really really hope Cruz wins, been a fan of him for ages and Cejudo is literally the cringiest guy in the whole UFC.

A - A J Styles
L - Luke Gallows
A - Asuka
N - Noam Dar
While it doesn't sound the greatest on paper. I reckon it could work, AJ can be the leader and world title chaser, Asuka can be a beast in the women's division and AJ's bird if needs be. Luke Gallows can be the absolute big hoss of the group to help AJ/Asuka and could form a big man/little man tag team with Noam Dar who could also have a run with a US/IC title.

well they've announced the venue and the card. Unless something goes drastically wrong in the next week or so, i think it happens this time.

Really intrigued for the Cruz vs Cejudo fight. Overall though that card is an absolute banger, deserves to have a crowd.

Might not be a minor story for long, but static seems to be forming about Velveteen sending nudes to underage boys. Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but the pic and one side of the story are swimming around...
How long till they try and work it into a storyline.

I wonder how many they are going to release, feel for Drake Maverick though in his twitter video.

The Snuka one is a sad watch, that Sheriff comes out of it terribly.

This isn't "top" twitter at all but I didn't know where else to put it. There's a trending hashtag #WrestlingTwitterAfterDark. It appears to be wrestling fans, I guess, posting "sexy" pictures of themselves. I just don't know what else to say about it really. I'm frightened to be one of this breed.
Just had a look myself and it's pretty grim to be fair, they'll be jizzing all over their chalkline jackets.

Why do most of the woman seem to think they are amazing at what they do and deserve respect like Natalya/Nia etc?
Yet the actual decent wrestlers don't suck themselves off and call themselves pioneers every week.

Roman Reigns is fantastic in this role, such an actual believable star. Paul Heyman shitting himself when Roman's shouting was just amazing aswell.
I'm also slightly in love with Billie Kay, she's such a good character.
