I don't think Drake will get fired for being a nutter, I think he'll get fired for the extent that he's prioritising it over his work, and jeopardising his position as a result. If they start firing wrestlers for being thick they wouldn't have a roster left.

They could always start by rehiring the smartest guy in the locker room Val Venis.

    Then again maybe not.

This isn't going down as well as Joey Ryan thought it would, seems to be run by him/Bar Wrestling.

Tony Khan has just tweeted to say that if Joey Ryan is involved his people won't be and that he'll donate directly to the charity instead.

  3. My only memory of Paul London is meeting him in New York the night before Wrestlemania 20 and him being royally pissed off that he'd been made to go to the Hall of Fame ceremony rather than the ROH show with milk and cookies for the wrestlers.

That and he was the only Cruiserweight the company not booked in the match at Wrestlemania.

Don't know whether I should put it in here, or in the retro gaming thread but I picked up Fallout New Vegas on XBox the other day. I'm terrible at it, even in easy but it feels a lot more linear than Fallout 3 and Skyrim, which is good for me because it doesn't mean I end up just acquiring quests left right and centre then forgetting where I'm up to. I've restarted about 5 times because I've not really known how I want to play but I've finally figured out how I want to play it, and am slowly making my way through it.

You won't regret picking it up. In my opinion it's the best Fallout.

I believe it's come out an episode will feature Chris Kanyon.

Thoroughly recommend his book for anyone who hasn't read it, his story is excellent but also very tragic and he comes across as if he was extremely likeable. Should be a cracker of an episode.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting him in New York the night before Wrestlemania 20.

He was an absolute gentleman who took his coat off to give to my friend who wasn't wearing one and was shivering.

When he apologised as he need to leave my friend went to take the coat off to give back to him and he responded with "You need it more than me, keep it."

  6. When I say that it was constant throughout the day I wouldn't be over exaggerating.

I'd hope that it was a poorly judge immature joke, especially as he does now seem like a genuinely nice bloke.

That's both surprising, given Sami Zayn generally seems like a good egg these days, and disappointing. Is it possible it was a poorly considered immature in-joke in really poor taste (not that as a caveat that excuses it)? Probably not, but I quite like Sami Zayn so I'm hoping he's not a wrong'un.

  7. Some various stories of meeting wrestlers and personalities.

Chris Kanyon outside a hotel just before Wtestlemania 20. An absolute gentleman who had all the time in the world for us.

Paul London the night of the 2004 Hall of Fame. Spent around half an hour chatting to him. He explained that he was pissed off that he was the only cruiserweight not booked on Wrestlemania and that he had asked for permission to skip to Hall of Fame to attend the ROH show nearby so that he could take milk and cookies to the guys working it.

D-Von Dudley, asked him for an autograph after Wrestlemania 20 outside the hotel. His response of "Sure. It's too fucking cold out here so come inside the hotel lobby and we'll do pictures and autographs there" was cool. He then found out we were from England and asked what our plans were for the night. We said we were heading back to our hotel. D-Von responded with no you're not, follow me and walked us straight into the Wrestlemania afterparty. Told us to fuck off once inside and enjoy ourselves.

Christopher Daniels. I was roped in to take his polaroids at the pre show meet and greet at International Showdown. The camera then proceeded to run out of film. No worries Mr Daniels has a new roll of film. I asked how to put the film in. His response "Do you want me to take the fucking picture?" I replied "I'm not all that fussed, but the people queueing might be bothered having their photo taken with me rather than you" Samoa Joe and Aj Styles started pissing themselves nearby.

D-lo Brown is the nicest man I've ever met in wrestling. Spent ages chatting about his match with Val Venis at Summerslam 98 and then went for a banging curry.

Spending the day with El Generico and Super Dragon was decent enough until they decided that all they were going to talk about was raping chicks. Absolutely disgusting pair who I was glad to see the back of.

  8. My big one is to continue to be clean and sober.

Up until April 28th of this year I was massively into cocaine. Because of this I lost my job, very nearly lost my family and came to within a few minutes of ending it all.

On April 28th I had my last line. Came clean to my family and have been in recovery since.

It hasn't been easy and I'd be lying if I said there haven't been times when I've had to fight really hard to resist the temptation of one gram won't hurt, but I have.

In all honesty, the last year with pubs being closed and socialising limited, it's been more of a blessing than a hindrance.

My plan is to book in for a tattoo on April 28th 2021 to get something to celebrate 1 year clean and sober.
