  1.

Fair enough, he got known over Vine and Twitter, and there's nothing to stop him going back to that, but if you've not got a product to sell, you're not making any money that way. Vine comics who have made money have done so with sponsored Vines for businesses and corporations, or, like Dapper did, getting shows off the back of it. No sponsorship's touching him now, and he'll have a hard time getting big venues to let him in to even use it to promote his live shows.

He has a show on at the Shepard's Bush Empire on the 12the December, and from what I've heard ticket sales have increased this week and it's close to selling out (that's from someone that works with him, so could be bollox)

It's easy for me to see "Dapper Laughs" as a character taking the piss out of "lad" culture as I've spent some time with the guy behind it. I've always thought the laughs were to be had at the characters expense, your supposed to watch his clips and think he's a twat, he's a sleeze ball.

Most of feedback I had on the episode was people saying I came across as nice, respectful and naturally funny, while he came across as a twat. I think that's the point.

The debate I've been having with myself is in relation to the influence he has on people that don't see the irony (there are a lot). I'm not sure it's his responsibly to educate people. ITV should have been the ones asking themselves if they want to give a platform to someone that may have an influence on a younger audiences or idiots. The fact they have Keith Lemon the on station suggests they didn't.

Richard Herring put it well last night when he said Daniel hadn't had the chance to fully develop his character and learn from his mistakes on the small club circuit like most comics do.

Some of the stuff that he put out early on, when he had just a few thousand followers hasn't featured in his act since. The difference with his mistakes is they are recorded on Vine and Twitter, where as other comics have them as crossed out lines in note pads.

  2. I used to hate roast dinners, mainly because I fucking detested vegetables.  We were brought up with "you can't leave the table, until everything is finished" So I used to sit there for 4 hours sometimes just looking at a pile of peas.  If you didn't finish before bed, then for breakfast the next day you were served yesterday's dinner, cold, rancid, broccoli, peas and carrots.

It took about 10 years of stubbornness and me moving out before my mum realised I was a lost cause. Now when I go home I basically get a gravy soup with roast potatoes (I can do roast, mash can fuck off ), meat and yorkshire puddings in it. When all the solids are gone I mop up the remaining gravy with a couple of slices of bread.

When  I get served it, I know I've won the vegetable battle. When I look at how fat and unhealthy I am, I know I've probably lost the war.

  3. Wasn't someone who posts here on that

It was me. I got on with him, and from what I can tell "Dapper Laughs" is just a character. For some people that will probably make what he does worse.

  4. In terms of the TV Show all we know is Ned returned from the war with John, and according to Oberyn, Robert started the war when Rhaegar ran off with Neds sister.

You won't be able to post spoilers in relation to how they met and the circumstances of her death because in relation to the TV Show you don't know.

  5. What happened on Monday night was the equivalent of Lionel Messi , while playing for Barcelona, beating Man Utd twice, and then signing for them when Wayne Rooney had also spent the previous 2 matches attempting to end his career.

Think it's more like a situation we will see with Atletico Madrid this summer. They beat Barca and Madrid to the title. They Knock Chelsea out of the Champions league. Won't stop them loosing a lot of there star players to these teams.

I think the reason given will be money, opportunities and the feeling like the other members of the Shield were getting more attention than him. That's logical.

  6. Means they got that pick via trading. Using your example, The Cardinals should have had the 20th pick this year, but they traded it to The Saints for there 27th pick and 91st pick.

  7. I guess time will tell, he's split opinion, some people saying he shouldn't even be in the Draft and others saying he should have gone top 3. Can't wait to see how his season plays out.

  8. In simplest terms it's all the eligible collage players standing against a wall while the 32 teams take it in turns to pick players. The position a team get to pick at is determined by how they finished the previous year. So this year the Sea Hawks got last pick as they won the Superbowl and the Texans got first pick as they had the worse record.

They complete 7 rounds of picks so in theory every teams get's 7 new players (some teams get awarded extra picks based on how a team goes about free agency) .Picks are tradable, so if you have a late pick and you want to pick sooner you could make a deal with a team with a higher pick, usually offering 2 or 3 of your later picks or a first round pick from next year, what ever deal you can thrash out with them.

After the draft a team would expect to have obtained

    2/3 instant starters

    2/3 Squad players

2/3 players that may need development

  9. So first round of the draft done, the QB'S took a huge drop over the last few weeks. Not so long ago some people were suggesting that 5 could go in the top ten, turned out only 3 went in the whole first round.

As a Detroit fan I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't make a big move for Watkins or Mack, but Ebron will give Stafford another weapon. Megatron, Tate, Fauria ,Ebron and Bush gives Stafford so many options really excited about this offense going forward.

  10. I enjoyed this weeks episode, but fuck me was it short. I don't know how the rest of you watch it but I watch it on Atlantic. Thrones starts at 9 and then Thronecast is on at 10.15. Thronecast was on at 10 last night. There is loads of stuff in the books that they are not covering and loads of stuff they are adding in that isn't in the books. Why have such a short episode as last nights.

Episode length was normal, between 53-57 minutes. Sky Atlantic have decided to only have one advert break during it now, that's the reason for the early finish.
