  1. Thanks fella. I think a supposed connection to Lioness Asuka was mentioned on one of the NXT broadcasts, but that was doubtless bollocks. She was introduced to NXT as Kana, which immediately (within seconds) became Asuka. Anyway, glad she's not operating under the latter 'at home'. Very impressed with the way she's transitioned. Plenty more to come from her yet.

  2. Is Kana / Asuka still working Japanese shows? Seen the name Asuka appear on a number of WAVE cards, right upto present day. Was that a stipulation in her contract or is it another Asuka? Incidentally I hate that name & assumed it was changed purely for WWE. She was Kana for the 12 years I watched her. Not sure why that name & its link to Lioness Asuka were chosen, as there's no particular connection I can think of, in terms of her training, companies she worked for etc. Plus, she'd have been in the 5 - 7 year old age range at the peak of Crush Gals fame.

  3. Bloody hell, jobbers with no avatar!

Backyarder or jobbing on here since 2003. Keep my gob shut most of the time though. My Derek Griffiths avatar may reappear at any given moment...without notice.

  4. And I wouldn't take Karl too literally. Kliq signs, crotch chops, shout outs to 90's wrestlers - being obnoxious is the Bullet Club gimmick. I don't think he really believes he's on Taker's level

Having said it, he immediately looked emabarrassed. I don't take anything too seriously. Thought it was the sort of comment that would normally spark some reaction (other than my own apparently). I haven't been interested in the Undertaker for nearly 20 years and consequently his streak is neither here nor there to me. Anderson seems to be a mark for himself, but as he's off to WWE I truly couldn't give a fuck.

  5.

Or shite, depending on what you class as intriguing viewing.

Nope deffinately not shite there's nobody watching it publically declaring it shite there are those who have chose not to watch it are claiming not to be watching it because they believe it to be shite

Don't speak for me. I watch it intermittently, because that's as much as I can bear & it's shite. That's right, I'm saying it publicly. Shite shite shite. Matt Hardy - didn't gave a wank about him in 2003. The Miracle Mike Bennett - fuck off. Gimmick greeted by silence. Beer Money (loved on here) - nothin' happening personality vacuums. Grado - fucking shite & hopefully gone. The Wolves (fake Dynamite and another guy) - couldn't care less about 'em. Awesome Kong - looks tired & there for a payday. Shadow of what she was. Lashley - decent worker, but how many would care if they never saw him again? Tigre Uno - midgety who the fuck? Chris Melendez - get the hell out of my ring soldier boy. Drew Galloway - reaching for the remote already. Josh Matthews - sickening Tough Enough pipsqueak, partnered by a clown, "Daddy". "This is awesome". No it's fucking not, it's switched off & shite, that's what it is.

  6. Assuming the published attendance for WK10 was correct, that’s 25% fewer than in 2015 and follows a continuing downward trend. I thought it looked healthier this year and the atmosphere wasn’t sucked out, as can happen in that place. Not sure what they’re doing wrong attendance-wise.

Overall, it was OK. The matches I said would be a waste of time, pretty much panned out that way. NEVER & I.C Title matches were very good. I thought Tana v Okada was too long, for what it was and Okada, having been given every opportunity to sell the leg, only did so sporadically & I fucking hate that. I imagine Meltzer 5 star’d it.

If anyone caught Anderson’s comment as he came down the ramp “8 Wrestle Kingdoms in a row. That’s Undetaker style!” What a fucking idiot. Cunt needs knocking down a peg or two. I’ve thought that for a while. We’ll see how much of a big deal he is shortly, no doubt. If anyone saw him on the Bullet Club Party DVD, he came across as a very, very boring, arrogant drunk.

Just for the record, here’s his ‘streak’ #Undertaker-style:-

[2009]: Riki Choshu / Masahiro Chono / Kurt Angle / Kevin Nash v Giant Bernard / Takashi Iizuka / Tomohiro Ishii / Karl Anderson
    [2010]: Yujiro / Tetsuya Naito v Brother Ray / Brother D’von v Giant Bernard / Karl Anderson
[2011]: Giant Bernard / Karl Anderson v James Storm / Robert Roode v Manabu Nakanishi / Strong Man
[2012]: Giant Bernard / Karl Anderson v Satoshi Kojima / Hiroyoshi Tenzan
[2013]: Lance Archer / Davey Boy Smith Jr. v Karl Anderson / Hirooki Goto
[2015]: Lance Archer / Davey Boy Smith Jr. v Karl Anderson / Doc Gallows
[2015]: Karl Anderson / Doc Gallows v Hirooki Goto / Katsuyori Shibata
[2016]: Karl Anderson / Doc Gallows v Togi Makabe / Tomoaki Honma

  7. That's Billy Robinson in the bottom photos isn't it? I'm sure I've seen the film they are from posted on here.

The archive footage was included in a Jake Shannon documentary about Billy Robinson, though it doubtless originated elsewhere. As far as the comment about it looking sordid goes, it was a shed, albeit a revered one, home to the British Martial Art - the one that 5 members of the Gracie family failed to find an answer to. Would it have looked less seedy had there not been an image of a child included? Perhaps Social Services should've been involved? I'm off to conduct a thorough, Yewtree-style investigation.

Pointless booking for a pointless match. ROH have virtually got their own Dome show outta this.

I think that's rather unfair to say. With 10 title matches, this is a big thing for NJPW; probably their biggest show to date. Having ROH talent only adds to that success, but it would be just as successful without them. Elgin has his own following in Japan, its not necessarily a ROH match at all; if anything i see that match in itself more NJPW vs ROH as I see Elgin more of a NJ talent these days.

For a start there are 8 Title matches. As far as it being their biggest show, you really need to do your homework. Not even close. A match between 2 members of ROH's roster, for the ROH Title is an ROH match, however you view it.

Christ, want to be any more condescending?

Don't see as much NJPW as I'd like, but always make an effort for WK. Lots to be excited about with this card.

Sorry. I'd forgotten people normally get away with talking bollocks on this forum, without getting called out or corrected. Glad to you're making the effort for WK10. It means a lot.

  10. I was just about to say, it's these 2, whoever the hell they are. Pretty uninspiring.

Incidentally, Naofumi Yamamoto's on English commentary along with Kelly & Striker.

  11. Naofumi Yamamoto could be due a return(?). Not sure of his current status, buit he was billed as 'Bullet Club hunter', so that'd tie-in. Saku's not on the card, but I don't think it'll be him, though he has tagged with Yano recently. EVIL doesn't have a match either, but there's no logical reason for him to feature. Not likely to be a classic whoever's involved. Mao'll probably be the highlight of that one. That's Yujiro's valet.

  12. Provisional Card: WrestleKingdom X, 4.1.16

    New Japan Rumble.
[iWGP Jr. Tag-Titles]: Kyle O'Reilly / Bobby Fish © v Ricochet / Matt Sydal v Rocky Romero / Baretta v The Young Bucks
    Bad Luck Fale / Yujiro Takahashi / Tama Tonga v Toru Yano / ? / ?
[ROH Title / Special Singles Match]: Jay Lethal © v Michael Elgin
[iWGP Jr. Title]: Kenny Omega © v KUSHIDA
[iWGP Tag-Titles]: Karl Anderson / Doc Gallows © v Togi Makabe / Tomoaki Honma
    Hirooki Goto v Tetsuya Naito
[NEVER Openweight Title]: Tomohiro Ishii © v Katsuyori Shibata
[iWGP I.C Title]: Shinsuke Nakamura © v AJ Styles
[iWGP Heavyweight Title]: Kazuchika Okada © v Hiroshi Tanahashi

Lethal/Elgin will be a Title match, unless the former loses his belt prior to WK10, in which case it'll be a 'special singles match'. At least I think that's the case.
