  1. Excited for the Bellator show. Interesting to see King Mo fight Kongo and im a McGeary fan and really think he is going to beat Newton. Think he may finish him early too.

Also looking forward to Invicta 11:

Mostly looking forward to seeing Grasso again. Been impressed with what I've seen so far and really think she could be in the UFC soon. Especially with them having another show in Mexico. Not the biggest names on the cards. But Invicta cards are always a fun watch. Never been disappointed with any.

  2. Anyone else watch Invicta 10?

Was another fun card from Invicta. Even though they've lost a hell of a lot of talent they seems to still be churning out solid events. Highlights were Alexa Grasso. Who is only 21, but has a 6-0 record now. Her last two fights in Invicta have been really impressive. Definitely one I see UFC adding to there Strawweight division in the future. Especially with the push to put more fights in Mexico. But hope Invicta can keep hold off her for the time being. Grasso v Van Zant would be great I reckon. Modaferri overcame a tough young opponent in Andrea Lee (who impressed at Invicta 9) and Evinger picked up another submission win and seems to be on a bit of a tear at the moment. Can see her getting a title fight soon.

Shock off the night came when Tiburcio submitted Waterson in the third to win the Atomweight title. She put on a great performance tbh. Almost caught her at the end of the second as well. Not many people were expecting this. Hope this kind off opens Invicta/FIght Pass' eyes a bit. As the last few events have all been about Waterson and Honchak and there opponents haven't really been hyped or promoted at all.

  3. Don't really watch any of the other shows. But might keep an eye out anyways.

Im not too interested in Newton v Beltran as the fight kind of baffles me.

Most interesting thing for me this weekend is Liam McGeary. Been impressing a lot recently but doesn't seem to be talked about at all. Hopefully he can win this tournament and see how he gets on against Newton (who I suspect will beat Beltran). Hopefully then some hype may start with him.

  4. I like Mo. Can see why people wouldn't like him though. Solid enough show last night. I thought Mo looked a bit better in there. Seemed to open up a bit more with his striking. Which lead to the victory. Seems a lot happier now that he's working for Coker and had this to say in the build up:

'Whenever I think about fighting for Coker it brings a smile to my face...He ain't use no dick.. as a form of transportation'

    haha.

Enjoyed Pitbull v Curran II. Very happy to see Pitbull finally win the belt.

Anyone else watching Invicta 8 tonight?

Not to most star studded card. But then losing all your best Strawweights and your Bantamweight champion will do that to you. Still a few veterans in there with Modafferi, La Rosa, Evinger and Tweet. Also been a while since Waterson defended her belt. So that should be fun. Not familiar with all here. Looking forward to seeing Rothenhausler. Trains out of Team Alpha Male. Only 1-0 in pro fights. 3-0 in amateur with all first round KO/TKO's.

Should be a solid enough show.

  5. News going round Twitter this morning was that Alvarez is out.

Huge blow. Seems Bellator have no luck at all with PPVs. Surely this will go free like last time now?

  6. So as expected King Mo/Rampage has been added to the Alvarez/Chandler III PPV. Don't really think Bellator should have a PPV. But shaping up to be a fun show with these 2 fights.

  7. Despite winning I thought King Mo was poor again. Im a huge fan of his but he didn't look much better than his previous fight with Newton. Everytime he step in to engage and trade punches he seemed to do a few steps back and then a little run away as if everytime Zayats was throwing he was hurt, when he wasn't. Worried me a tad because that isn't going to look good in the judges eyes. Also from someone who is supposed to be a top wrestler he struggled again with takedowns, again was similar to the Newton fight. Whereas against Noe his wrestling looked on point and as if he'd got back to somewhat his best.

Not sure if he just respected Zayats too much.

I'd liked to think in 2014 he has enough to put Rampage away. Again I doubted Rampage and thought if M'Pumbu can drag him into the 2nd or 3rd he'd have Rampage in trouble. But again Rampage went after that KO and finished in the first.

Definitely an interesting final they have here. Although it did look a bit staged in the cage after and they were also going after each other in the press conference after I think there is hate there and hopefully it can drum up some interest. I for one can't wait to see this fight. Just really hope Mo can get back to his best and destroy Rampage.

Nunes vs Bassette overshined both fights though and was FOTN for me. Nothing worth of note from the rest of the card. Bit frustrating to start off the prelims with two no contests because of illegal knees and a eye poke. Fans didn't seem to enjoy that at all.

  8. Yeah. Beltran was definitely winning the first and definitely wanted to drag the fight out the whole 3 rounds. Rampage was having none of it and just went for it the last 10 seconds of the round. Not sure where he goes next. Don't think they'll be putting him in a tournament anytime soon and the LHW division doesn't seem very strong at the moment. Suppose there is always King Mo. Although think he'd rather take a chance at the belt again in the next tournament.

Minakov was very impressive. Should be good to see how he deals with Kongo.

I watched the whole card live. But sitting here now I can't for the life of me remember anything about Pitbulls fight except that he won. But yeah. I was pretty happy to see him get the win. Him v Strauss should be good.

  9. Really can't wait for this show on Saturday. Definitely going to make an effort to try catch it live.

Im not sure why but I always get more excited when King Mo is on the card. Big fan and pretty confident he can avenge this loss and win. Hopefully keep the belt after Veigh is back too. I've seen Chandler v Alvarez (although not at the time) but definitely going to check that out again before Saturday and also got a tab open with the first Curran v Straus fight cause I haven't seen that yet. Riggs v Bronzoulis should be good too. The Greek has been underdog is all his fights on FightMaster and has come through them all. So could cause Riggs some problems, but think Riggs will just be too good and experienced in the end.

Also on a side note just seen that Kongo will now face Peter Graham in the Heavyweight Final on the November 8th show. Not seen what happened to the orginal opponent whose name escapes me at the moment.

  10. War Machine going to sleep fucked up 2 of my bets. Was pretty annoyed at the time, but then thinking about it there was something quite satisfying seeing him get schooled, since well he's a absolute twat.

I agree about the Graham/Prindle fight. Thought it was never going to end with how slow it was going. Painfully slow at times. Grove as well looked impressive.

I actually fell asleep before the main event started so haven't checked out yet, so can't comment.

Im also one that is very much looking forward to the PPV. Although I caught that Rampage4Real thing that was on Spike the other day and Rampage didn't come across very well on it. Hope he's abit more switched on now.

  11. As a fan I'd like to see the PPV do well as well. Shame it won't.

I'll definitely be watching, most likely live. But suppose I'd watch it without Tito/Rampage cause im watching it mostly for Chandler/Alvarez and King Mo/Newton and also the as I watched the whole of Fight Master the final fight is happening to prelims, so might as well check that out too.

Also, on a side note Bet Victor have got betting on tonights Bellator and also the top three fights for the PPV at the moment. This could either be absolutely awful or amazing for my bank account, I've yet to decide.

  12. I'll definitely be watching Bellator and will check out BAMMA as been meaning to check that out for a while now. Not sure I'll have time to check out the others. Pretty crazy weekend there!

  13. Looks like a bit of an injury hit card as Joe Warren has been pulled from his fight has he's been declared medically unfit to fight.

No word on what the problem seems to be as of yet.

  14. Yeah does sound like something dodgy is going on.

Saturdays show should be pretty good. Although the final of Fight Master isn't happening because of an injury and has been push back indefinitely at the moment. I'll not say who is in it incase people are still watching or going to catch up or anything. But bit disappointing that the final could be ages away!

  15. Bellator have released this statement today about this:

Numerous websites yesterday posted a story regarding Attila Vegh and statements he allegedly made to a reporter while in Poland. The interview was done in Slovakian, through a reporter speaking Polish, and a number of U.S. websites published the story with inaccurate and misleading information.

Please see the attached medical report to this email, a doctor

  16. Not really any sort of shock. But King Mo/Newton II has been announced for the PPV.

Edit- Should have probably said that this is for the Interim Lightheavyweight title as Vegh is out with a shoulder injury.

  17. Yeah I can't wait for this one. What a card. Can't see past Chandler and Askren wins.

Can't wait for the King Mo fight too. One of my favourite fighters for sure and he really doesn't like Noe. So this should be a great watch. Think Mo will just be too good for him and hopefully we see a 1st/2nd round KO.

Not sure weather to watch live or wait out till Friday and watch it on VIVA as I need to be up early on the Thursday, but really not sure if I'll be able to avoid spoilers.

I definitely need to check out The Russian Invasion thing too. Totally forgot about it.
