Apparently he’s some YouTube star. Saw people calling him the ‘Japanese Jake Paul’ and stuff. He did actually score a knockdown at one point, to be fair. Ended as a draw.

It was actually overturned after, as when reviewing the tape Hiroya tapped when he had an armbar on and the ref missed it. Was pretty crazy.

Loved seeing Horiguchi get the win back and end the year as champion. Looked great in there. The Gomi fight was way more fun than I thought it was going to be tbh. Really good. Tenshin put on a show again, just so much fun to watch.

Just noticed all the fights are up on Youtube now. If anyones interested in catching up, despite seeing results in here. - https://www.youtube.com/c/RIZINFIGHTINGFEDERATION/videos

But watched it after and it is way at the top of my list for events of the year. Fantastic card of fights.

  6. Love the KSW 42 card tomorrow night:

Main Event - Champ vs. Champ
Mamed Khalidov (34-4-2) vs. Tomasz Narkun (14-2)

    Co-Main Event
Michal Materla (25-5) vs. Scott Askham (15-4)

    Lightweight Title
Mateusz Gamrot (13-0) vs. Grzegorz Szulakowski (9-1)

    Women’s Flyweight Title
Ariane Lipski (10-3) vs. Silvana Gomez Juarez (6-1)

LHW - Lukasz Jurkowski (16-10) vs. Martin Zawada (27-14-1)
LHW - Chris Fields (12-7-1) vs. Marcin Wojcik (10-5)
FW - Filip Wolanski (10-2) vs. Bartlomiej Kopera (9-3)
WW - Krystian Kaszubowski (5-0) vs. Christopher Henze (8-0-1)
FlyW - Karolina Owczarz (0-0) vs. Paulina Raszewska (0-0)

Lipski is a beast. She probably gets paid pretty well by KSW. But if not then she needs to be in the UFC. Would be a top addition to the FW division. Gamrot, Materla and Khalidov are always fun watches too. Some British interest which Askham making his KSW debut as well

I think they're run by Chechnyya's dictator, Ramzan Kadyrov. He's the piece of shit who's currently rounding up homosexuals and putting them in concentration camps. He's also suspected of having had Fedor's daughter beaten up in response to his criticism of ACB's child MMA fights.

EDIT: I see the_mole mentioned this earlier.

Ramzan Kadyrov runs Akhmat MMA not ACB.

Read a few dodgy things about ACB overturning commission decisions in the past. But not heard any other dodgy stuff going on. Went to there Glasgow event and loved it. Just fight after fight. No messing about.

  8. ACB turned into one of my favourite promotions last year. Attended the Glasgow card (wasn't that well attended tbh but the fights were great) and I think I've watched all the cards since then. They usually air free on YouTube.

There slogan is 'Less Show And More Fighting' which is certainly the case. Fighters basically enter the cage as the previous fighters are leaving.

They also have there first card outside of Europe on Friday night. In California - http://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/43182-absolute-championship-berkut-51

WIll be some recognisable names on there for some.

  9. I'd presume McGeary will fight the winner of King Mo v Davis. Which is happening in May.

Although I'd of thought that if McGeary was on the London card he'd main event. Being a champion and all that. So will be interesting to see if he is on the card since the main and co-main have both been announced.

  10. I knew those fights were happening but didn't know it was a 'flag pole' event.

Look forward to it. Seems ages since we've seen Brooks fight. Always has a lot to say on Twitter but hasn't been fighting much recently. Shame cause he's great.

  11. Yeah I was a bit disappointed with Bellator Dynamite. The fights were alright. But nothing too special.

Think not getting King Mo v Davis was a big let down. The big hyped up tournament and then we never got to see the real final. There were definitely some miss-matched fights in there too.

Also was a shame we never really heard from McGeary after the fight. It was just Ortiz and then Davis that got the airtime. I do like Bellator but would like to see guys like Brooks, Pitbull and McGeary get more of the limelight on these bigger shows and not just the new guys they sign.

  12. I used to be proper into all the Bellator cards. But I started working Saturday mornings and I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle of catching up. So fell out of interest. Usually just watch when King Mo fights these days.

Don't work Saturday mornings anymore and theres a few guys on this card I recognise. So will probably check this out.

I like the look of Will Brooks. Was quite surprised when he beat Chandler twice (who I rate very highly) so this main event could be a good scrap.

  13. Great to see McGeary win the belt. A very fun fight too. One of my favourites fights of the year so far. Had no idea what the judges were going to do. But Liam deserved the decision. Just so active off of his back. Definitely been one of my favourites to watch recently.

Although it wasn't pretty and wasn't exciting at all. I actually thought King Mo's performance was impressive and very smart. He was fighting aa guy that was vastly bigger and just completely shut him down and just ran down Kongo's gas tank. Kongo could barely stand up at the end there. With Newton losing he could be back in line to eventually get another LHW shot. But I'd like to see him take his 'moneyweight' experiment down to MW too. Could be a force there too. Also...still can't get over that it was a split decision and one of the judges scored it to Kongo. Really not sure what he was watching!

Enjoyed the Invicta event too. Grasso and Aldana impressing yet again. Only a matter of time before they sign with UFC im sure.
