They still have the Brody memorial shirt don’t they with profits going to the family (as well as negative 1’s 10 year contract) so I’d guess they will do the same for Owen. Good on them.

The one really admirable thing about this also with the AEW shows I've been to so far - they never really had wrestler specific shirts and it was all AEW branded stuff at the merch stands, apart from Brodies shirt. Really shows how they went out of the way to help them out. That'll be different now with the Punk shirts printing money but it was really nice.

I’m going too and can’t wait! Open air stadium with the sun setting over Manhattan is going to look amazing 🤩

Sadly GCW was sold out for Friday night but I might pop over anyway and see if anyone is selling.

I'll check with my buddies and see if any of them got a spare.

  3. Heading to Arthur Ashe and can't believe how stacked it's gotten in such a short space of time. I do fear crowd burnout as they will likely tape Elevation beforehand as well, but the action should be top notch.

I have a wild one next week overall, AEW Wednesday, GCW Thursday and Friday and then I bounce over to LA for Halloween Horror Nights in Universal and PWG on Sunday! Gonna be wrecked!

I dont have access to a laptop, but have a PS5 or my smart TV.. I can't find a kite app anywhere. What's the best way to watch this?

There is a kite.TV app for android can I order it on there and cast to my TV?

It's Fite TV you should be looking for. They have a mobile app that you can cast from but I'm pretty sure it's on PS5.

  5. The PPV was a blast anyway. Overdelivered based on my expectations. Pasting my response from another forum on it.

I used to be massive fan from 2005 to 2012 and kinda dropped off after that. My last time at an Impact show was 2006 in Florida during their peak so it was interesting to see how this iteration of the company would be live.

I only started casually watching it again since Kenny came into it and even then I would have it as background noise while doing something else.

The staff at impact couldn't have been nicer, we got our bags of swag including drinks and snacks, an event shirt, VIP laminate, impact towel and plastic cup before it. At the end we got a piece of the ring canvas, a pic on the ramp and a mounted event poster. The crowd was insane all night, even chanting for the ring crew.

It's always surprising how jacked some wrestlers are in real life that you wouldn't expect. Crazy Steve is an absolute unit and was doing great character work the entire time outside the ring.

The Ultimate X match was insane, pity it sounds like it looked a little chaotic on TV. Trey Miguel is great, first time really seeing him, Petey W looking fantastic for how long he's been around and I finally get the Josh Alexander hype. Very enjoyable. The German suplex Josh gave to Ace Austin at the start was brutal! He took some hop with it.

The guy with Myers, can't remember his name was hilarious. Constantly chatting to the crowd and his comedic timing was in point.

Cass looked good and there was some nice stiff shots in this match too. The apron powerbomb had a sickening thud.

Mooses chops to Sabin were insane. I got a clip of the second one - https://streamable.com/5qdly6

Sabin winning was odd but interesting to see where it goes.

Place came unglued for Thunder Rosa, was a great surprise.

Kenny and Sami was great too! I could see Kenny blading from my side and he struggled to get the blade out of the ring, Hebner had to do it for him. I got a great angle of the table piledriver also - https://streamable.com/j8pl75

I've had a wild few weeks of hitting different events all over the US (Blood and Guts, Dynamite, DON) so will ease up a little next month. I have PWG in LA on August first next and will hit a local show here in Seattle with a promotion called Defy. They have Lance Archer coming next month so should be good. After that it's AEW in NY in Sept and I'll chance Bound for Glory also once tickets are out.

I’d imagine Dana wouldn’t want his buddy to look bad, and let’s be honest, it’s not a stretch to suspect MMA fans might be Trump fans more than Biden fans.

True for sure but Vegas was absolutely mobbed last weekend, the busiest I have ever seen it so prob lots from California and other blue states too.

  7. Flying out to Nashville tomorrow for Slammiversary. I'm based in Seattle so curious if Aubrey will be headed out there too. Should be fun now, some nice perks also.

    Message to attendees is below:

We will be cutting the Slammiversary match-used canvas immediately after the PPV – and you will leave with a swatch!!

We will give you 1 mounted Slamm poster – and these are, quite possibly, the best posters we’ve ever made.  Yes, there are multiple posters!  We are producing 2 limited-edition, double-sided numbered posters.  Everyone will get one of the two posters – sorry we cannot guarantee which one you will get, but both are collectible.  Feel free to trade!

  8. That was possibly the best two hours of television AEW have ever put out IMO. Everything flowed nicely, promos were on point and the only minor negative was QT appearing on screen. The Hangman run looks to be getting some good steam now, should be a great few months of TV. Darby is a mad man, the spot onto the steps looked brutal.

  9. Had a blast at UFC 264 anyway, seeing the O'Malley fight in person was great with the crowd getting behind Moutinho as it went on. Trump was there and all - was he shown on camera at all? He got booed out of it so wasn't sure they would show him. T-Mobile was great too - no real lines and everything was super smooth. 20 quid a pint though haha.

  10. I was front row at Blood and Guts and the Jericho thing wasn't nearly as bad as it came off on TV. It happened the opposite side of the cage so the crowd didn't have a great view of it but it got a good reaction live.

The Drew thing was awful for a number of reasons, happy to get his back sliced up (only for it to end with a rollup?!) but not take a soft table bump?

  11. Moved to the US a few months back and getting back into the figure collecting having sold nearly all of my collection a few years back,

I'm completely out of the loop on them these days to be honest but are there any cool unique ones to the US that I should keep an eye out for? Could pick some up for folks on here too if people are having difficulty finding anything.
