  1. Masters is a good shout I think. He was very solid towards the back end of his WWE career. Great shape, good crowd reaction, and solid in-ring.

They could do a lot worse than someone like him.

Gallows isn't bad to be honest, but he'd have to come in and just dominate the fuck out of the little guys. They need someone big to face him and they can just smack the shit out of each other like Morishima and Bison Smith formerly etc.

  2. I don't think that's entirely true. Him and Haas were getting great reactions at the start of their ROH careers, and using them here and there kept from overexposing them. I agree that Benjamin has always struggled to be a regular attraction in any company he's been in though. I don't think he has to be 'boring' but they need to know how to use him.

Even using the MCMG on a regular basis just dilutes the effect of what they can do. Once you've seen all their moves on a weekly basis, they're not quite as amazing.

  3. A contest that undoubtedly does live up to expectations, however, is the tag team 'dream' encounter matching ROH World Tag Team Champions the Kings of Wrestling against former WWE Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin. It's an attractive-looking battle of a pair believed by many to be the best tag team in the world at this time and a duo that were once billed as the 'World's Greatest Tag Team'. Naturally, this turns out to be a tremendous, all-engrossing match which the live crowd go batshit crazy for, particularly signature spots from Haas and Benjamin they remember from TV. Right up there with the Kings' bouts with the Motor City Machine Guns and the iPPV bouts against the Briscoes as one of the very best tag team matches of the year. Thrilling stuff.

I remember really enjoying their first few appearances but since becoming regulars, they've become so boring. I guess that's what happens when you overuse an act like that though.

It'd be hard to even keep MCMG fresh as ROH regulars.

  4. Topics like the top songs, movie discussion etc are, for me, what makes this a far more interesting forum than the majority of wrestling ones.

I might not agree with things, but I like that people put the effort in to sharing their tastes. I like trying something new.

  5. The main problem with that superplex in the GIF is that it looks ridiculously fucking weak. No wonder they can get back up after it and do a little dance. If someone like John Cena does a superplex, it has velocity and crashes down like it will actually HURT. That move there just looks far too smooth, with little to no impact, and more like they're swimming through the air. It's why I don't like ROH anymore. Why do they insist on overbooking their main events to the point where 500 kicks to the head, 700 elbows, and 75 burning hammers won't even keep a guy down for 3, let alone kill him?ROH has no consistency in the treatment of their moves in their own company, and when you compare it to the wider wrestling business, it's even worse.I can only assume there's a mentality that kicking out of all these moves makes their guys look tougher but that's not true. They need to scale it back, start making it look more like wrestling and less like MMbAllet.

  6. I'm really surprised at how much I have lost interest in ROH since the new TV show and the takeover.

I think it's just the lack of talent depth, especially when it comes to the main events for me. Compared to a few years back, it's considerably weaker.

It's nice to see some people still enjoying it, but I really expected to see the company thrive on their new found opportunities, but if anything they've got worse for me.
